Tip

Be specific about the item, including its color, style, and any unique features that make it special.

2: Neglecting Emotional Impact

Tip

Share how the gift made you feel, whether it was happiness, nostalgia, or gratitude, to connect with the listener.

Ignoring Context and Story

Not providing context about the giver and the occasion can lead to a disjointed answer. Context helps the listener understand the significance of the item.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The most favorite attire in my life is my Mantra Koti which is a Kanchipuram Saree which has golden threads in it. The Kanchipuram Saree that I have was one of the favorite attire that I ever have in my life. My husband gave it to me for my wedding. The day that we got married, I used to wear this saree for the whole process of the wedding and in the evening only I changed that saree. I was super excited to wear that saree because I like it very much and it has some orange yellow shades and has some golden threads moving along the saree. I think he purchased it from Kanchipuram, a small village in Tamil Nadu. He purchased it directly from the weaving unit and he told them to weave a saree for me. He also told so many requirements to them and they weaved a saree for me and he gave me as a gift for our wedding. When I see that saree, I get emotional because the love of my husband is visible in that saree and it is so beautiful. When I wore that saree, I felt so happy.

I have been always wanting to buy a sweater but I couldn't since there wasn't much of a necessity for me because we live in a humid region where you experience winters for a very short period and most of the time I won't go outside so that didn't occur to me as a necessity but I have always wanted to buy a sweater So he randomly gifted me a sweater one day. I felt very happy. The sweater was very warm and fluffy. It was of good quality I have really treasured it from the day he gave me. I haven't gotten around to wearing it yet but I will be wearing it somewhere in the near future I guess because now we don't have that much of a cold weather right now so I might be wearing it sometime in the future but I really appreciate that I really treasure that sweater very much because that is something that can be very useful for me because I am a cold sensitive person and when I do go outside or I get in contact with cold air I immediately tend to get sick so I might be using this sweater to keep me warm and it will definitely be very useful

Okay, so my aunt went for a trip to Kashmir and she brought a shawl for me that was made of some special wool. I don't remember it's quite famous in Kashmir and it was purple pink in color and I really love that shawl. I have used it extensively during winters and whenever I just go outside and I don't have to carry my jackets and all, I just take that shawl because you know in Mumbai it's like there is no harsh cold weather so we can use that shawl. And it was handcrafted so handcrafted things are really, handcrafted clothes or the piece of clothes are really special and they gave you a lot of warmth and it just reminded that how special the gift was.

The thing received by me was a crocheted muffler. It was given to me by my childhood best friend Sean. It was a birthday present on the occasion of my birth and because I was getting older. Yeah. So, I was very overwhelmed after receiving such a kind gesture from him. It was very sweet and loving that he put so many hours for making that crocheted muffler and it turned out so well. I did not have any outfit to use the muffler but I bought some new clothes to pair it up with and use that muffler and I was very thankful that I got him as my mate and my friend. He has been very supportive and always been there for me whenever I needed him.
