When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Last year, in June, I went to the Rishikesh with my family, only for seven days. At that time, it was my first trip with my cousins. I felt it was the best idea for me to go with my cousins. They did a lot of activities and one which I remember is river rafting. For me and also for my family, it was the first experience. Earlier, we did not do river rafting. Then I made two teams, me and a person. In one team, there were seven and the other team also had seven members. We started the race in the river. Firstly, I just felt afraid of water. But after 20 seconds, I felt the nature, how it was looking good. I also felt the nature for the first time like that. At that time, I was not vain, I know. But the experience was brilliant. This activity I remembered forever. I will never forget this activity.

A place that I recently went to was Ladakh in India. I went there with my family and my extended family that is from my mother's side. It was a beautiful place and we had a lot of fun exploring the different areas in Ladakh. One specific thing that I want to focus on is the outdoor activity that we did there. It was river rafting. It was the first time for all of us and all of us were really excited to go on that. A few of my family relatives were really scared as they did not know how to swim. But rest assured, the team assured us that nothing will happen as we will have floating jackets. They are professional swimmers and are trained to rescue people if they ever fall down. It was a mind-blowing experience for all of us. It was filled with adrenaline and I still remember the force of water and us rafting through the river at high speeds and the water splashing all over us. It was a 15-minute ride and we eventually ended up around 2 kilometers down the terrain. It was one of my most favorite experiences in my life and I loved it.

One of the most memorable places I visited was Amanohashidate in Japan in 2024 with my parents and my sister. Amanohashidate is a countryside area which is located 3 hours away from Tokyo, the metropolitan city. Usually people take their own car or they go by buses or through tour guides. It is a hill stop station where you have two options, either you take a tram to the top or you hike there. My family and I decided to hike to the top. It took us about 2 hours in total. Even though it was really difficult but it was rewarding as well. The top had many different eateries and trains. We were able to sit on the trains and look at the gorgeous view through which we could see the entire seaside of Japan. Being from a place where sea is not really what we are accustomed to, over there we got to look at such a beautiful scenery. That place is usually a very popular tourist destination and is hustling and bustling with tourists all throughout the year. Not only you get to ride trains, you get to eat multiple different authentic Japanese cuisines as well.

Me and my husband went to Kerala, a God's home state, during August for honeymoon. We tried a lot of adventures there, like zip-lining, zip-cycling and walking on the glass bridge. Then we went to Jain Swing, which I loved the most. When we tried Jain Swing, it was a unique experience that I will never forget in my life. That activity made that trip so special because when we did that activity, it was actually raining. The climate was so good, cloudy, rainy and it is amazing. It was a memorable thing.

The most exciting journeys of my life was Goa. As Goa is known for its beaches, so we went to Goa for a holiday and there near the beach, we did a lot of sports activities. Some were scuba diving, where we went 50 feet inside the water and I was able to see the whole aquatic life through my lenses and which was a wonderful experience. In this whole journey, I was with my family. My family is very joyful and enjoyable and my family gave me a lot of support and pushed me to do a lot of activities which I was scared to do. Then we did banana ride there, where then I did para-slicing, where we had to be up in the air. That was one of the most good moments of my life and after doing all those activities, we head back to the shore and the sunset was beautiful, amazingly beautiful and the whole time and the whole memory is still stuck in my head and that is one of the beautiful memories of my whole life.

I am Rohan Choudhury and I live in Rishikesh. I made a plan to visit Dehradun. I booked a train ticket with my friends and went to Dehradun. There was a famous place named Goa beach in Dehradun. It is located near the Holi Ganges river. There we played beach volleyball and enjoyed our time to the fullest. Then we did rafting. It was a very frightening and adventurous sport. But I did it with my friend. Although being a patient of water phobia, I thought of overcoming this fear. In the middle of the rafting, I fell in the water. But I had life jacket, so I was pulled back by the guide. And it was a very joyful trip. Then I came back to the resort that I booked on the Goibibo site. There I had my lunch and then I went to the disco bar and enjoyed with my friends with dancing and singing.

One of the most memorable places I visited was Ooty, a beautiful hill station in Tamil Nadu, India. It is often called the Queen of Hills because of the pleasant weather, lush green landscapes and tree plantation. I had heard a lot about this place from my friends when my family planned a trip there last summer. I was very excited during our trip, we did several activities but the one that I enjoyed the most was boating at Ooty lake. The lake is quite large and surrounded by tall eucalyptus trees which make the atmosphere very calm and refreshing. We rented a pedal boat and my brother and I took turns steering it while my parents enjoyed the ride. The water was clear and we could see ducks swimming nearby which made the experience even more special. I really enjoyed the activity for a few reasons, firstly I gave us a chance to spend some quality family time away from a busy daily routine, secondly the peaceful surroundings and cool breeze made me feel completely relaxed, lastly it was also a bit adventurous because at first it was not easy to pedal and control the boat but gradually we got the hang on it and had a lot of fun. Overall visiting Ooty and doing boating at the lake was a refreshing experience, it not only allowed me to connect with nature but also created beautiful memories with my family that I consider it one of the best outdoor activities I have ever done. Overall visiting Ooty and doing boating at the lake gave me a refreshing break from my daily routine.
