When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of the finest apartment that I have visited early this week would be of my best friend Dr. Iti Shrimanti. She is an exceptional scientist who is currently working on the premises of cellular biology and particularly works on developing nanomedicines for cancer research. Her house is located in the urban population area of Bhubaneswar where there are most colleges and most students. I went there with my boyfriend to visit her house. Her house consists of an apartment which has two bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen and a decent balcony. The most beautiful or excellent quality that I like about her apartment would be the greenery that she tends to flourish in a very small space and the use of traditional herbs that she grows in her kitchen. Overall, the apartment provides a beautiful, comforting, homely feel with an aesthetic Pinterest background and a lovely overall decorum.

I really like my aunt's house a lot and it is quite a well-decorated space which can reflect her personality really well, especially because she herself is an interior designer and she put in a lot of effort and love while she was designing her home. She grew up in a very poor environment and she never really had her own house or apartment where she could stay for a period longer than a year or more and therefore, she did put in a lot of creativity while making her house. She has my favorite features about her house include her living room which has a huge sofa and the sofa faces a big circular window. The window allows the light to stream into the room in the early hours of the morning but later it does not become too hot because she has wonderfully planned and built a beautiful garden surrounding the house with lots of vegetation and especially she has two tall oak trees. Now, these oak trees provide a lot of shade and does not allow the temperature of the house to rise a lot. Another feature I really love about her house is her spacious kitchen since we both love to spend our together time cooking delicious food for the family. Also, she has a wonderful little library with a huge stock of all kinds of books from different genres. My favorite would actually be the terrace where we have spent countless evenings star gazing. I believe that her house is a home because it has a lot of facilities.

A few days back, me and my mother visited my aunt's house, which was situated in Yamuna Nagar. And this house, when we enter, has an immense positive vibe, which attracts me. And also the detailing that is done by my aunt is immensely appreciable. Because she is a well-known artist, and she knows how to design a perfect cozy house, which attracts the incomers, attracts relatives very positively. Me and my mother were impressed by the presentation of the drawing room. She hung the paintings on the other side of the wall, and there was a huge wooden piece located in the middle of the room, on which there was a beautiful vase decorated.

So I am going to describe a person's house which I really think is very good. So it is about my cousin's house which is in Chandigarh and it is not an apartment but a fully furnished house or you can say a villa. So he built this house in like 2-3 years ago so I decided to go there with my mom because I really want to see what he has built over the years so therefore when we reached there I was stunned to see that it was a very huge space in which he had built his house and it was also, there was also a space for gardening and you can park your vehicle like your car and when I entered the house I was really amazed to see that it was a perfect blend of modern and old architecture. He has like subtle and soft colours on the walls and chosen ancient or special pieces of arts to design or to decorate his house so I was feeling like very calm and relaxed in his house because it is not so vibrant and which will make you anxious because the aroma of the house is very good and I will never forget the smell and the environment of his house because it is so peaceful.

I went to my sister's flat on Saturday to meet her and her husband and it's a very spacious and beautiful flat. It's located in a serene area surrounded by fields and it's got a wonderful bay window. When you walk into the door, you enter a spacious living room that has a bay window followed in the next room, you have the bedroom, one of the two bedrooms. That bedroom too has a veranda, a full length veranda and it would do well to fit a nursery. In the second bedroom, which is adjacent to the first bedroom, is the master bedroom. It's wonderfully spacious and it's got a modular wardrobe and an ensuite. The dining room is attached to the living room and the dining room as well has an ensuite for guests and it is not very big but has character. And finally their kitchen, which is adjacent to the hall, is a long room that has been developed and designed expertly by my sister and her husband.

I would like to talk about my friend's house, which I think is stunning. It's a perfect blend of practicality and aesthetics. The first thing that strikes to me when I think of my friend's house is the incredible balcony from which you get the view of the entire skyline of the city. She lives on the 12th floor of Skyline Apartments in Bangalore. Skyline Apartments is located on the outskirts of Bangalore, due to which she has a peaceful neighborhood.

I visited my friend's apartment recently and it was really good. Actually it wasn't an apartment, it was a bungalow. She lives with her parents. So I went inside it and the first floor was where her and her parents live. And the thing I like most about her place was how well it was designed in terms of movement. I am an architect so I understand movement and how important that is. So first you enter a living room, one side you have a kitchen and dining and then the habitable rooms where you sleep. So I found the arrangement quite remarkable. The living room opens up to a nice balcony and the window between the balcony and the living room brings in a lot of light in terms of natural lighting. So that is commendable. Apart from that I also like that the garden is connected to the house. So she doesn't have to go out really every time she wants to take a break. So that's sort of what I like about her house.

I think the house that belongs to my grandparents, situated in Durgapur, West Bengal, is one of the most beautiful houses that I have ever seen. The first time I visited this house, I was with my grandfather. He showed me around and introduced me to the various locations within. The house has a private garden where one can grow all the fruits, vegetables, flowers that they need. The house has a magnanimous staircase that goes to the terrace and it also has five whole bedrooms, a great place for families to live and survive in. The house is also on the main road, in a very nice locality, which makes it easy to access all the amenities required. The first time I visited the house, I felt at peace. The house somehow represents calmness for me.

Recently I visited my friend's house at Dombivali. It is a 3BHK house and it was very huge. I visited this place with my friend Arun. We went there at around 9 o'clock in the evening. I was astonished by the lighting over there. It was very beautifully arranged. Not even lighting, everything in his house was very nicely arranged. From the furniture to every single tile, everything was at the place. It was the place where you would like to be. There were different kinds of lighting. For example, few lights were of 3 colors. If you press the switch, it will change its color from yellow to moonlight to white. It was very interesting. Other than this, what I liked most about his house was cleanliness. Everything was very clean. I would give 10 out of 10 stars for cleanliness. His house is maintained by a staff of 4 people. They are actually spending a lot of money to maintain the cleanliness in their house. They also keep a dog in their house. Even after keeping a dog, there was no trace of hair found in their house, which I found very interesting. This shows that their workers who are working to clean their house are very good at their work. Another thing about their house was the ambience in their house. It was really cool and calm. You can actually meditate over there. The location is actually very good.

    Band 7

The house that I am going to talk about is my grandmother's home which is located in Bondicherry. The first advantage or the first good thing that comes to my mind is that it's right next to the beach. So, the beach is like 10-15 minutes walk from there. So, whenever I go there during, when I wake up in the morning, I will go directly to the beach. So, that's one thing that I love about the house. Furthermore, the design elements is kind of an antique theme. So, when you go inside the hall, it has a lot of wall paintings or wall hangings of photos of our ancestors and paintings that my grandfather has done. He used to be an artist. So, it has quite a lot of painting. So, one distinct photo that I remember or I love is the photo, is a drawing or sketch of an Hanuman, who is a monkey god of Hindu religion. That photo is so realistic that if you look at his eyes, it feels like he is staring right back at you. Now, apart from that, there is a big courtyard too and there is a lot of ample space for parking as well which we don't usually get in Chennai. In our house, we can park only one car and it's been a very, it's been a big hassle for us to park all the vehicles in that small parking spot that we have near our house. But whenever I go to my grandmother's house, I envy that if we had this kind of space, we could buy even one more car. Apart from that, I think the people there make the house more special to you than, rather than the house itself. I love my grandparents, so going there and being with them also makes that house a special place for me.
