When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

The person whom I would like to talk about is my mom, she is very fond of plants and especially the aesthetic ones like the ones we keep indoors, they are actually of no use other than visual ones but for example bonsai is referred to as a plant which gets good luck, it is one of the favorite pastime activities for my mom to grow plants, it is a therapy for her, she is saying that after a birthday one should gift a person a plant and measure how much it has grown while the person, while comparing with the person as when a person feels that they have done nothing, they should just see the plant that even a small plant has grown from this small amount to such a huge amount, the favorite plants which my mom like to grow are Tulsi plant, even she grows lettuce, chili and tomato, the balcony of our home is big enough to accommodate 7 to 8 plants, so few of the plants are kept there, the other plants are kept in my room's balcony and some are in the balcony right next to the kitchen.

Okay, so my grandparents used to, like, grow plants and they like to grow different kinds of plants on a terrace, actually. And maybe because they came from the village, actual village, so there they used to do farming when they were young and now they live in a city. So like, they don't get any kind of big lands, so they can farm and grow some, like, rice and wheat. So they do plantation, they grow plants, not just specific, but different kinds of plants. And maybe that's because of they are old, they don't like, they have no interest in phones and watching TV and anything, so they just spend most of their time in the plants and the, like, soil and all. So my great-grandfather, he was from the Uttar Pradesh in a village called Lucknow. So they came here in 2001, so, and they have a lot of interest in growing plants. But by the way, their favorite flower is rose. We have so many rose plants on our terrace. All of them were grown by him. And they grow our plants on the terrace because that's all we have and we have a big terrace, so we have, like, around 24 to 25 only rose plants. And he grew all of them because nobody's here are, like, more interested than him.

She is very enthusiastic. And I can see that she likes flowers. I would like to say one more thing.

I have a friend, a very dear friend of mine who has a knack for gardening. She grows plants in her outhouse which is somewhat of a greenhouse inside her own mansion. It's a beautiful garden. I have been there quite a number of times and enjoyed the detailing which she uses to plant those shrubs. There are many varieties of plants which I have been exposed to in the duration of time. I have been friends with her. She also introduced me to a number of plants that are not quite native where I live. I have also seen how serene she looks while gardening and planting trees. And I aspire to have that level of serenity someday. It's a beautiful thing to have a hobby, you know. It gives you a feeling of beauty, a feeling of not having to do anything or not having to worry about the mundane technicalities of life. The garden she has has a variety of plants. Some of them are curry leaves and some of them consist of plants that you can use in the kitchen also. So it lessens the money you have to spend in. I would like to talk about my grandmother who loves to grow plants in her backyard She is around 70 years old and she is still very active when it comes to gardening or spending her time at her backyard She really enjoys her evening time along with plants where she tries to water them everyday and she takes good care of all her trees She has a big house and at the backyard she has a big mango tree where the mangoes usually come bi-seasonally Whenever the mangoes are there she is extremely happy that all the effort and hard work has given her a fruit ironically I feel that she likes to grow or likes to do these kind of activities because I feel that these kind of activities make her feel helpful to others She feel motivated because when a person stays motivated and is busy with the work their age starts to slow down and they feel more energetic and active in their daily lives I remember one time when I was with her during my summer holidays I could see that she was so much enjoying doing all the hard work at her backyard where she was sowing some seeds for the new flower plants and I could see the smile on her face and that clearly shows that she really does get a lot of satisfaction a self realization and she really tries to absorb all the nature and elements of nature for herself

A person who I know is really interested in growing plants is really very close to me. The reason she's growing plants is because she's got a lot of free time right now after she has quit her job. She's a middle-aged woman, she's in her early 50s and growing plants has become a hobby for her because she spends quality time in taking care of beautiful plants and it's fun actually watching her to see her being friendly with plants, really it's pleasing to the eyes. The person who I'm talking about is none other than but my mother. She's very fond of plants, she's got a huge collection of plants. I would say she's got a couple of aloe vera plants, she's got roses, she's got curry leaves which she takes care of it. There are a lot of processes which is involved to take care of these plants, you need to water them daily, you need to add fertilizers and pesticides and what not, you need to keep it in the sun, you need to protect it from insects or rats, whatever it is. But she does all that happily and she never complains about it. There are times that she bothers me also to take care of the plants but I do it happily, I don't complain or anything. She has a habit to grow all these plants in our balcony, we have a nice huge balcony. She's ordered special stands to place all these plants in the balcony so that it doesn't dirty the floor as and when we water them because there is always mud which flows as you pour water on the plants but it doesn't cause much harm to the floor or anything.

Even in my family, everyone loves plants, trees, and to grow them, to cherish them. But a person that I would like to talk about today is my neighbor, who has shifted in the flat next to our door a month ago. So, I was just wandering around the streets or just roads. Then I came across a backyard of that neighbor, and I was amazed to see a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and plants growing out there. I inquired about this from my neighbor, and I got to know about that he lives alone in his house, and has a great interest in them because since he lives alone, he has no one to talk to, share his life, share about his life. So, he just spends his time with them, talks with them, and takes care of them like their children. I also got some encouragement to cherish the small moments, to also grow plants. They are also healthy for our body also because from the market, the vegetables, the things we buy always have some chemicals included. But the things we grow ourselves don't have them, and they are organic in all aspects. So, I really learned a lot about plants and vegetables, and also learned about the pH level of the soil, how to grow them, how to take care of them.

These days people are very much found on growing plants nearby. That being said, growing plants is also a very important activity which enables or which provides us the fresh amount of air in the surrounding region rather than inhaling the pollutants. And in my family, my mother, she is very much interested in gardening and planting. She loves to do so and even in our entire surroundings, right, we have a huge amount of plants. And to be very specific on the varieties, it's not only just herbs or shrubs, even she grows a lot of big trees which has a huge trunk and also she does plants everything throughout like in the... In my opinion, plantations and people who love doing such kind of activities are highly appreciated. I mean this because they support the environment in one or the other way possible. Growing trees helps little birds to get their shelter and also provides in one or the other benefits to the person as well. And in my family, my father and my mother, both are interested in planting. I'll tell you the reason why they are very, like they are highly interested, I guess. Back then they used to stay in a village and they have a lot of things that they were doing near the farmlands. But after we relocating towards the countryside, right, unfortunately they don't have that much of room to go ahead and work on the farms. So that is the reason they make our surrounding areas with a plant. They grow a lot of trees and which make themselves very happy. And when exactly I want to tell about the specification, what do they grow, right? It's not something an ornamental plant, they do grow a lot of natural plants which either yields different kinds of fruits, different kinds of vegetables, and especially a various varieties of flowers. I do love flowers, so they keep on growing a different range of flowers. And where do they exactly grow this plant? It might be in the terrace because these days a terrace farming has become so, so, so unique and people love doing it. And even my parents are very, very keen in doing it.

So, my grandfather really likes to grow plants and loves gardening as a hobby, loves to do gardening as a hobby, probably because it makes him more tranquil and makes and provides him with a sense of accomplishment. Most of the things that he grows include some vegetables, seasonal vegetables, and some herbs used for cooking. And one of the places that his gardening hobby has spread to is our own rooftop, so we'll be able to see all kinds of fertilizers and the bags with soil in them, there would be some pots as well, flower pots as well, which would be growing some herbs and within those bags of soil, we'll find some vegetables. Although those are just the vegetables that grow on top of the ground, there are no vegetables that can be grown inside the ground because we don't have that amount of soil and the amount of soil needed for those kinds of vegetables can only be found in the actual grounds and not on our rooftop. But again, I know it makes him happy and this hobby is what he spends around 1-2 hours a day on average.
