When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A person whom I know who has a different cultural background is one of my friends John who came from Odisha. Odisha is a state in the northern part of India and he came in Kerala for his higher studies. We met each other in the year 2022 when we started our graduation classes at SCS College, Srikantapuram. And when I first saw him, I was really interested to talk to him and know more about him and his cultural backgrounds. So he was really happy to be with me and make me as a friend. Then we sat together in our classes and we shared our lifestyles and experiences with each other. So that idea, this sharing gives us more ideas about our lifestyle and cultural activities, everything. He's a person who is more traditional and religious. He's a religious person. And all these traditions came from their own community. So he has a practice of visiting the temple every day morning at 6 p.m.

The person whom I can think of with regards to have a different cultural background whom I enjoy spending my time with was Mariam. He's a pharmacist in Saudi Arabia that was way back 2016 when I first had my work as an overseas Filipino worker. So yes, she is a Saudi national which had introduced me to their language, to their culture, to their practices. So through her I have indulged, immersed myself to their culture, to their practices. So I have discovered that wearing the hijab or wearing the face cover is not really obligatory but it is a form of protecting yourself, being away from the danger or being away from predators. It's a form of protection because for most of them, especially men, seeing your hair would arouse them, would be a threat.

She comes from Kolkata, a place in the eastern part of India and I am from South India. Both are cultural and educational and every background is different but we enjoy spending time with each other a lot. I met her at first during my first year in my college and she was my classmate. Since we both had a similar behavior as in we both used to sit at the back of the class, we naturally bonded slowly. I was curious about the language she spoke which was Bengali and slowly she was curious about my mother tongue Malayalam too. So we both started exchanging the words in both our regional languages to each other and slowly we became familiarized with it. We both used to go to museums, we often used to different restaurants that served our regional foods, local foods and we slowly like exchanged our background cultural and food and everything. She even introduced me to the Ikkyan of her friend from Kolkata who were there in our institute and I got to learn that they were quite too much into writing and music much more than how it is in my place. I am going to talk about a pleasant personality whom I met in my school days about a decade ago. She was my mathematics teacher as well as my class teacher in 5th standard. Her name is Mrs. Sharita Sharma. It was my first day in the Army Public School, Ahmedabad. Concerning it, I reserved late because my car broke down. When I rushed to the class, she was already in the class. I was scared to enter but she held my hand and took me inside the classroom. The incident made me aware of her nature and behavior. Moreover, she was an extremely beautiful lady and the best thing about her was her smile which I loved. She always greeted people with a smile on her face. Apart from that, as she was a child, she looked stunning whenever she wore a saree. She mostly wore Indian outfits such as salwar kameez and sarees and rarely more western clothes. I generally show her wearing green, bright colors, apparels and because of her hair complexion, each and every shades stirred her. She had dark brown hair which perfectly complemented her skin color. Besides being a very good mentor, she was also pretty. So, she was a perfect example of beauty with brains. It is said that she, the inner beauty, determined everything.
