When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I am a person, I belong to the So, the person I am talking about is my close friend, she belongs to Maharashtrian culture. Even though we share some similarities because we belong to the same country, but my country has different cultures, backgrounds, so I learn a lot. Mostly when I went to her house, we cook. She cooks so well and I love the Maharashtrian food. I was born and brought up in Maharashtrian culture and in my home, in my house, there is more U.P. culture, like you have this U.P. food, Uttar Pradesh food, actually, so that's very different from the Maharashtrian food. The Maharashtrian food is spicy, more authentic, like the food from Uttar Pradesh is also so good, but they share so different elements together. They are fun, but different, so I really love that culture, like the Maharashtrian saree, nawari, the dance, it's very different from the U.P. culture. It's so different and there's so much to learn. The language, the Marathi language is so beautiful. It's like when you speak Marathi, it feels like you are a royal person. It's very different and very strong, whereas Hindi is so cute, so subtle and that makes me learn so much about different person. My close friend is someone who will stand with her words. She taught me so much and I've grown up because of her. I learned so much and I can understand the world because of her more better, in a more better way. So, that's it.

Additionally, they all have different cultures, somebody comes from Maharashtra, some Kerala and some are from south side which has a wide variety of cultures after some miles. So today I wanna elaborate about my friend named Yash who is from Kerala. His residence is in Pallipattu gaon which is in south side of Kerala which is very beautiful village I have ever saw in my life. After watching the pictures and videos of culture, I found drastically fascinating them. Furthermore, first of all, I decided to go with Yash for making a visit of his village to know more about his culture but due to some difficulties and my family pressure, I didn't do to anything. Along with, I prefer to go with him. I usually like to spend time with him because his and my interest are same. He also like car racing as well as horse riding so we often go to watch car racing along with horse riding as show some fraction of space whenever we get some leisure time. Then after completing our education in 2014, we got separated and later on after my studies, post graduate studies, we again met each other and then our relationship continued to the same. Basically, I got to learn that as a human being, we need not justify others about their religion or culture. One have their own cultures and also we can learn many things from others. He has been a beautiful, helpful person to me and I always rely on him in any circumstances.

I mean everything is so deeply rooted in culture and tradition which is really really amusing to me. We both celebrate the festivals that she has like Lohri, Holi and Bhaisakhi. All of these are so interesting because they are amazing and deeply deeply nourishing to the soul. She is really warm and everybody that comes from Punjab that I have met are really warm and welcoming and lovely and so so outspoken. Everybody loves out loud. They all are so fun to be around. They are always laughing, always lifting your mood up. You know wherever they go they always grab the attention with the strong personality that they have. So my friend Lovleen, she is really really expressive. She is really fun to be around. She is deeply rooted in her culture and the food that she brings me, Dal Makhani and whatever that they make in her culture, it's all so rich and delicious. So I truly love her culture.

So I got exposure from her side that really makes me excited to get to know about her life, her culture that completely different from mine. So it was a quite great experience and I really enjoyed her company when I used to live with her. So that's all from my side.

Every person have their own cultural activities. Most of the people are coming from different backgrounds and from different cultures. The art form from every people is different compared to others. One of my friend named Kavya, she is my friend during the time of my college. She is actually a Tamil student. Moreover, we celebrated our festival like Onam, but they don't have any celebrations like that. At the time of Onam, we shared the experiences and I told her about the stories and history about Onam. It was really such a nice event and we shared so many memories at that time. She helped me in many ways and I tried to teach her about that event in different ways. She really enjoyed the way I talked to her. Furthermore, the rituals are different, but the coordination of everyone is important in every ritual or every program. The thing I have to say is, be with everyone and help every member.

So this person would be Akash, who we also call by the nickname of Raja. I met him during my undergrad and he belongs from the southern India culture, which was in particular a very new experience for me since I have been living in the northern region of India. There is a vast cultural difference between the two extremes of the country. So it was a very impromptu moment where through a common friend we got introduced and eventually we became really good friends, we enjoyed spending time together, moreover we just used to go out for dinners and additionally he and his friends who are also from a similar cultural background, they used to tell us about their language, they used to teach me about the language, they used to help me understand the local songs of their culture and language. So the bond actually impacted me in a huge positive manner since there is always a disparity between the northern and the southern cultures and there have been talks about the northern people don't like south Indians and vice versa, but it was a complete myth buster since we get along really well.

    Band 6-7

So, one of my close friends at universities is Meghna. She hails from the Kolkata in West Bengal. One of the most favorite thing I like about West Bengal is its diversity in music. She has introduced me to a lot of Bengali songs which I now have come to admire a lot. We usually cook recipes she used to often eat at home like one of those was a recipe that included potato and egg and we also made a lot of, we also tried a lot of recipes with biryani, Kolkata style biryani which is one of the most famous. Also her place is known for sweets. She always brings sweets for me as she comes from home. One of them which I like the most is Sandesh. I really enjoy her cultural background. She has also shown me her videos of dancing the classical way on stage and I just love how Bengali dancers perform. I have come to appreciate the folk music of the land and by knowing her I have come to acknowledge that how India is a diverse land of different religions, different practices and yet we live so close together. By learning, by knowing her I have also discovered that recipes vary so but the inherent quality of cooking remains the same.
