When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Advice are the best thing an individual can get or receive from a well respected person which can create a greater impact on their life too. Today I am here to say about an advice which had also impacted in my life and changed it. While I was struggling through my college studies, I was really doesn't have any work or anything to do. I was simply wandering here and there for one year. After one of my cousin saw me that, he also witnessed that I was working without any job or no income or any skills I was not receiving at that time. Once he called me and told me about that, you should get improved and you should get updated into your working life. Just kick start your work and buy a entry level job. His name was Vineet. He is my sister's fiancé. He gave me an opportunity in his company. It was purely a healthcare sector company but my field of study was currently different. He told me that it's not just for your income, it's purely for your skill development. Just think about that and then you work and your growth will be very great in your future. That point had struck on my mind and it had forced me to extend to my ends in my career to push me to an end which I can reach. It was a very grateful moment.

Here I would like to kick off by explaining an incident when one of my colleagues gave me a positive advice regarding my work and it was during my clinical posting. As I already mentioned, I am working as an assistant professor in MES College of Nursing, Perindarana. There we used to evaluate the clinical assignments of the students by setting up certain evaluation criteria. In one of the evaluation criteria, evaluation format for the case study, there were some suggestions or corrections that has to be made. So it was noted by one of my colleagues and it came into my attention. So after getting that correction, I could make that correction.

I have encountered many situations wherein someone has given me a positive advice but one incident that I remember evidently is when my mentor at my internship gave me the advice of always tying up the loose ends before submitting a work. This advice has helped me a lot in giving a proper closure to all of my work which has helped me in putting a good impact of my profile on the person. She is also a mother chota hai yaar. I have come across a lot of situations where people have given me positive advice and suggestions for my work but one such incidents that I remember evidently is when my mentor at my internship gave me a very valuable advice. She had advised me to always tie the loose ends before submitting my work to the client. She believed that doing such practice will make me a better person in the eyes of the client and also help me put forth a very good impression of my profile. Since then I have never completed or I have never left any loose end from my side for my work and I have seen the positive impact of doing this practice. I have seen the confidence that the client gets of me. I have also become a very productive person and also my overall reputation and my impression has increased.

Recently, at work, one of my senior, Ms. Shrikala Nair, she gave me a positive advice. She told me about how I can manage my work, so much of work, so much of stress, with one simple trick of relaxing and focusing on, focusing based on my priorities. Her suggestion helped me to overcome the difficulties of managing multiple tasks in limited time. I am going to work on this even more and I am going to reflect on this on multiple occasions to make sure that my work is getting done in a very respectful and effective manner.

As a psychology student, I recently did my internship in an NGO and there I had the chance to talk with this amazing psychologist with whom I shared my concerns about how I wanted to stay in academia and did not really want to view clients in general because I really loved the concept of carrying out research to contribute more to education in general. However, this person, having been in the field for so long, gave me a very potent advice. He said that unless and until I see patients and I see clients, I deal with them and listen to their concerns, I wouldn't be able to understand the gaps that are existing in the research already as well as what problems that actually ails within the human heart. Thereby, he did actually tell me that dealing with clients and seeing patients would be the best way to identify research problems and thereby contribute further to it. I really liked this suggestion and advice that he had given me because it shed a light and insight into my way of working and I understood the mistake with my approach because unless one actually goes into the field and works for it, there is no way they can really turn out to be a good researcher.

My portfolio teacher, Mr. Kaushal Ledeep, was the one who gave me positive advice on my final major project portfolio. I went to him to describe my idea of my main project and he listened to me very thoroughly and he gave me constructive criticism on my idea that my portfolio idea was very materialistic and did not have enough depth for it to be called a fashion final portfolio and he gave me really good advice to blend my portfolio with my personal experiences so that it can feel more personal and a little bit more me. So I took his advice and I worked on the idea and it allowed me to come up with a really good portfolio which was very personal and it described my life, my various seasons in my life. So I was very very grateful for that help and it allowed me to in the end make a really strong portfolio to apply for my future careers.

The person who has given advice to me is my general manager, he is the boss of my work and he said that after finishing my work, please do a research when you go home and upgrade your skills, you will be unstoppable. After saying this advice, I have gone through the projects, I have gone through the office work and asking doubts about this to the general manager and I started getting, I learned so many things and getting promoted to another level.

    Band 6-7

Positive Advice is not just a few words, sometimes it's entirely change your life. I remember when I was young, I have just done my graduation and I started my first job. I usually go to the government tax authorities and I was in connection with some government officials. One of the officials has given me an advice to prepare for some government exams so that I can achieve something in my life. I seriously took his words in my mind and I started working on the advice that he has given me. I would say it was better advice which I have got in my entire life. It has changed my entire career. I got a government job in Home Ministry. I would say I am thankful to him that he has advised me to work on the field and on the path.
