When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I would recommend any first-time visitor to explore Rishikesh. Rishikesh is the yoga capital of our country and it is situated close to my hometown itself. Being situated at the foothills of Himalayas, it acts as a base camp for all further expeditions and explorations into Himalayan territory offering different trekking routes and camping opportunities on top. Apart from these, people also get to indulge in the spiritual side which involves a lot of yoga schools, devotional offerings and beautiful and prestigious Ganga river passing through it. Moreover, personally Rishikesh holds a very cherished part in my memory because since childhood I had multiple opportunities to explore it being close to my home and I derive a lot of life lessons from my visits to this place. Initially, it presented a thrilling adventure of all the adventure sports that are being practiced here. As I grew older, I admired and acknowledged the presence of river Ganga and the pristine and sense of relief it offers to you which is absolutely immaculate.

So a place in my country that I would sincerely recommend people to visit is Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to. I still remember I was only eight years old when I visited and I have such fond memories of my time at the beach. I also did a lot of activities such as scuba diving, boat riding, fishing and swimming. I also made a lot of friends there at my time in the hotel. I wish I could still get in touch with them but unfortunately during that time social media did not exist and it did not play as as big of a role in our lives as it does now. I hope to visit it again sometime but the trips are costly so I would like to save my money and make sure that I am getting all the best that I can from my visit again to place Andaman and Nicobar Islands. I would like to recommend it to people because I think it had a long-lasting impact on me. It changed the way I saw sea and I only read about it before that experience but after witnessing the beauty from my eyes I experienced a lot of emotions which made me overwhelmed. I still am very fond of those memories and I wish I can go back there very soon.

One of the places that I recommend people to visit in my country is the state of Rajasthan, particularly the city of Udaipur. I might be biased towards Udaipur because that is my hometown, that is my grandmother's place and we visit every summer over there. As a matter of fact, I am visiting there about three to four days later. Growing up, I have always been going to my nanny's place which is Udaipur and it is a beautiful city. It is also known as the city of lakes because of how many lakes it has and the thing that I would recommend people about there is the rich culture and the rich history Rajasthan has to share. As you know, Rajasthan is known as the city of kings, the state of kings because it was one of the only states that was never fully captured by Britishers. Apart from that, the people are extremely kind over there. You will never find yourself alone or struggling in Rajasthan because people try to help in every way that they can. There are also a lot of deserts that you could visit on the west side of Rajasthan, a little far from Udaipur but I still recommend going there. You could do camel riding and then you could visit more than a hundred forts in Rajasthan. Like I said, I am biased because of my upbringing but apart from it, when you visit, I would definitely suggest the food over there. Dal bati, churma, jalebi, all of this is exquisite and something that you only get to try in Rajasthan because it traditionally comes from Rajasthan. It is a tradition over there. And then the jewellery over there is peculiar and extremely beautiful, especially the ones made out of copper.

This scene was taken on January 13, 2021. I would highly recommend visiting the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan to fellow travellers. This is because the city acts as a converging point for culture, food, architecture and shopping all of which are checkpoints when it comes to travelling and vacations. Jaipur offers both luxurious resorts and stays as well as a slice of tradition and history like no other. I visited the city a couple years ago as part of an immersion program with my college and I fell in love with it at first glance. Moreover, as an architecture student, there was just so much to do and so much to admire. I particularly loved the palaces and the museums that the city had to offer. Moreover, there are distinct exhibits and places to see at each one. Tourists and history enthusiasts will truly love the city. We can get there by train or flight depending on where we are travelling from. I especially liked one of the museums there called Jawahar Kala Kendra that was based on a 9 grid system that the city was planned on the basis of. Such exhibits are inherent to the city and truly reflect the diversity of this place. Jaipur on the whole is a great city that will truly capture your heart in its food, its culture and shopping. It has several local delicacies that are only offered in Rajasthan. It also has some of the best clay pot biryani that I have ever eaten and there is a sense of community and architecture that can be found here.

The place I would want many visitors to visit is a village called Bir that is situated in Himachal Pradesh. So you would be reaching there by bus and it would take you around 13 to 14 hours to land there. Bir has been one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited till now. The last time I visited Bir was in 2024 as a part of my solo trip and this trip was fortunately initiated by my mother. I went there, since I went there as a solo traveller, I happened to meet a lot of great people. Bir is actually known for its paragliding activities and fortunately enough I got to experience paragliding. Bir also has a lot of monasteries you could go to. So it is a very quiet place, very quiet and peaceful place. There it has a lot of monasteries, you can go to one of them, you could meditate, one could meditate. The landing site for the paragliding activity makes you, has one of the most beautiful sunsets that you will ever watch, which was extremely very touching for me. Then I visited to one of the waterfalls over there. The trek towards the waterfall is a bit tricky, there are a lot of big stones over there but fortunately with the help of the guide I was able to do it, accomplish it and then afterwards when we actually saw the fall, it was very beautiful, like literally Bir is one of the most beautiful and serene places one should ever visit in their life.
