When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

India has multiple beautiful places all around. We have 30 different states and we have various specialities in all these states. The north states are colder and have a very different vibe compared to the south states and the north eastern states are very different compared to the western states. One of the cities that I would absolutely recommend everyone to at least visit once in their lifetime would be the city of palaces or the city of lakes, Udaipur. Udaipur has the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen. The architecture styles in Udaipur are heavily influenced by the Mughal style of architecture. Most of the buildings are placed scenically around the lake and there are multiple different lakes in the city of Udaipur which is why it has the name city of lakes. There are also various different palaces for various queens and kings and for their recreational activities. The city is also bustling with good cafes and food and a lot of tourists travel there frequently. It is also a very good heritage site and most people also tend to have their destination weddings there because it is very popular among the destination wedding destinations.

I would like to recommend Kashmir, which is often described as the paradise of the earth. It is located in the northmost part of India, surrounded by the Himalayan mountain range. Visitors to Kashmir can enjoy a wide variety of experiences. They can take a peaceful shikara ride in the lake, stay in traditional houseboats and explore beautiful gardens such as Shalimar Bagh and Nishit Bagh. For adventure lovers, activities like trekking, skiing, and gulmog and hiking in Palgam are extremely popular. Visitors can also experience local culture through Kashmiri cuisines, handicrafts and farm hospitality. I strongly recommend Kashmir because of its unmatched natural beauty and calm atmosphere. The combination of snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, and scenery lakes offer a unique experience that cannot be found everywhere in the country. It is a place that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who visits Kashmir.

One place I would highly recommend to visitors is Amritsar, a holy city located in Punjab, India. It is most famous for the Golden Temple also known as Harimandir Sahib. I still remember the first time I visited Amritsar, I was 14 years old and it left a deep impression on me. Even though there are thousands of people inside the temple complex at all times, the place feels so peaceful and calm. I often sit by the Sarovar and just meditate or reflect the energy there is truly special. At night, the golden reflection of the temple is the water, looks absolutely mesmerizing like something out of a dream. One of the most inspiring things about this place is the langar or community kitchen. Every single day, lakhs of people eat together regardless of caste, religion or background. It gives a strong message that everyone is equal apart from spiritual experience. Amritsar is also the world capital of India. Whether you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian, there are something for every kind of food here. From butter naan, which is soft flatbread to Amritsari fish to chole kulche, spicy, you name it and it's mouthwatering. There are also other historical places like Jallianwala Bagh, which reminds us of India's painful past. Another unique experience is watching the beating retreat ceremony at Baga water and the energy, the crowd, the patriotic feeling, everything is unforgettable. The best time to visit Amritsar is between October and March when the weather is pleasant.

One of the places that I would recommend people to travel in my country would be the state of Kerala. Although I hail from West Bengal and there are several places that are worth touring in my state, I would still recommend people to travel to Kerala because Kerala is also known as God's own land. And it is a beautiful place with lovely landscapes of nature. You have forests, you have hills, you have seas, you have backwaters. And it's amazing, the weather, the climate, the people, the food, the cuisines, the culture. It also is the state in India that has a 100% literacy which is not seen in any other state. In terms of tourism, there are beautiful hotels situated in every tourist hotspot. One of the things I would personally recommend people to try is the backwater houseboats. It is an overnight boat ride on the backwaters of Alleppey in Kerala. It's your own personalized boat. It's like a hotel on water which is very comfortable, very cozy and very pleasant. Especially for people who are travelling on honeymoons and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. You can dwell in the rich seafood in particular that they would serve you on board. It is a 24-hour tour that takes you along the back streams of the water and you anchor at a fixed spot in the night. Where the team on board take perfect care of you and your moments.

A place in my country that I would highly recommend to visitors is Darjeeling, a beautiful hill station located in the state of West Bengal. It's often called the Queen of the Hills and I genuinely feel it lives up to that name. What makes Darjeeling special is its breathtaking natural scenery. The moment you reach the town, you are surrounded by vast tea gardens, fresh mountain air and stunning views of the Himalayas. One of the highlights is watching the sunrise from Tiger Hill. On a clear morning, you can actually see the first rays of the sun hitting the peak of Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain. It's an unforgettable experience. Apart from natural beauty, the place has a charming old-world vibe because of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The toy train ride is slow, but it gives you a unique chance to enjoy the landscape and the culture along the way. Visitors can also explore local markets, try authentic Darjeeling tea and enjoy delicious food ranging from momos to traditional Nepali and Tibetan dishes. The people there are warm and welcoming, which makes the trip even more enjoyable. I would recommend Darjeeling to travellers because it offers a perfect mix of relaxation, culture and scenic beauty. Whether someone is looking for adventure, peace or just a refreshing break from city life, Darjeeling is a place that truly has something for everyone. Also, I would love to travel Darjeeling and I do visit Darjeeling once or twice in a year. It's one of my go-to places. Whenever I feel down, whenever I feel I want a refreshment or want to get out from the monotonous life which I am having, I surely do book a ticket via bus or train and visit Darjeeling.

A place in my country that I would really recommend the visitors or travelers is my city Pune. It's based in Maharashtra, state of Maharashtra and it is one of the biggest cities in Maharashtra. It has big IT hubs and I guess it balances the modern culture as well as the Indian culture. It has huge IT parks, huge buildings but on the other hand it also has forts. My city has very rich heritage culture. Since Shivaji Maharaj ruled this place, we really look up to him. Shiv Jayanti is one of the biggest festivals that is celebrated in Pune. Other than Shiv Jayanti, Ganesh Chaturthi is also one of the biggest festivals to come and have a look at. It's a 10-day ritual and the Pune itself turns into a very mesmerizing city. It's a great place to be at during that time. Other than that, food is one of the greatest food you'll have in India. You can try authentic Maharashtrian food, Pujan Poli, Okritsa Modak etc and one of the greatest and one of the most famous places in Pune is Dagrushet Halwai Ganpati. It is said that whatever you wish for at this Ganpati comes true and it is known as Manasa Ganpati. You can come here, you can wish for something and it will definitely come true. The crowd goes crazy during the Ganesh Chaturthi when Dagrushet Halwai comes to the stage. Within that, Pune has a very great climate, very great culture, not too cold, not too hot. You can always go out at night. You have a very great nightlife here that you can explore.

The place I will always recommend to anyone visiting India is Srinagar in Kashmir, especially the area around the Dal Lake. I travelled there with a group of my friends a while ago in February and that trip shaped the way I think about natural beauty. We stayed in a place that looked directly over the lake because of my friend's father who is a CRPF officer arranged the accommodation for us. Waking up to that view felt almost unreal. It was such a surreal view I can't even justify with my words. The water was still, the mountain looked close enough to touch and the whole atmosphere had a quiet charm. The windows with all that mist and that coldness in the environment, it was just a wow experience. What I remember most clearly is cycling around that road, cycling around that circle of lake. It was simple activity but the experience is unforgettable. The fresh air, the surrounding, the peaceful surrounding, the scenery changed slightly as you move along the path. At one point you will see the floating gardens and a little further above you will catch the reflection of that water and all the water sports the people are doing. It is kind of moment you will feel completely present. We also took a ride, that is Shikara ride, visited few local markets and tried some Kashmiri dish. Even felt calm, unhurried when everything is different from the cities in India. There is a sense of stillness, there is a sense of being present. I recommend Srinagar because it is offered a mix of beauty, culture.

A place that I would recommend a visitor or a traveler is Hampi. It is located in Karnataka. It is known for its ruins and rich heritage culture. I visited Hampi when I was in college. Back in those days, I made a visit to Hampi during December season and December month and I find it a very beautiful and peaceful city. I think every visitor should witness the rich heritage culture that the city holds. They have a unique musical event where they make music using the façade of the monuments and it's really very peaceful and pretty to witness that. I find it serene and soul-refreshing. Moreover, the people are warm and welcoming to tourists and on top of that the food is delicious.

One place that I would definitely recommend any visitors that are coming to India, which is my country, to visit is Pondicherry. Lying in the heart of Tamil Nadu, it is a Union Territory which is located in the east of Tamil Nadu, aligning to the Arabian Sea. Now, why that place is very special is because of its exquisite beauty and its range of beaches and infrastructure that you see around. Built in the time of French, it has entire colony dedicated and named as French Colony, which is just ashore to the rock beach. One of the main highlights is the Auroville Ashram that is situated in Pondicherry. It serves as the main attraction. Along with that, Pondicherry is also famous for its seafood, its shopping and its cheap liquor. And it's also very famous for its deserts and French cuisines that are available. It is a place that you would most likely want to go with friends. Renting a scooty there is pretty much easy and you can roam around the city without much delay and enjoy your time there.

One place in India that I'd highly recommend to any traveler is Rishikesh, a small spiritual town located in the northern state of Uttarakhand. It sits right on the banks of river Ganga, surrounded by the foothills of the Himalayas. And it's honestly one of the most peaceful yet adventurous places I've ever been to. Rishikesh is known as the yoga capital of the world, so people from all over the world come here to learn yoga and meditation. There are dozens of ashrams, wellness retreats, and small villages where visitors can practice mindfulness and take part in traditional Indian healing therapies like Ayurveda, Siddha, and such. But what makes it truly special is that it's also a hub for adventure sports. You can go whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, or even trek to nearby waterfalls. It's a perfect blend of spirituality and thrill. Personally what I love most about Rishikesh is the atmosphere. Every evening the town gathers on the riverbank for Ganga Aarti, a beautiful ceremony with chanting, lamps, and music. Watching the reflection of the fire on the water feels almost magical. It sort of relaxes and enlightens people as well. The locals are incredibly welcoming and there's a strong sense of calm and community wherever you would go. I'd recommend Rishikesh to visitors because it captures the essence of India, the mix of spirituality, culture, nature, and adventure all comes together. Whether someone is looking to relax, reflect, or explore, this place offers something unique for everyone. It's one of those destinations that stays with you long after you're left.
