When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

He enjoys selling jewellery because he finds happiness in doing so. He likes looking at people's expressions when they actually see some jewellery that suits them. They also give away gemstones. And they are firm believers in astrology as well. And hence the significance of gemstone in their life is also very prominent. And that is why they sell gemstones as well. He is the owner of the shop and he is the one who runs the shop. He also helps in moulding gold into different types of necklaces. He enjoys in doing so and finds comfort in doing all of that. The person I know that really enjoys their work is my best friend's father, a person very close to my heart, a person I consider as a mentor. He in very simple terms sells mass produced fabrics to restaurant chains, to factories, to clothing brands etc. I have seen this person go at 8 am in the morning, come back at 11 pm at night without any frustration, without any worry, just a smile on his face because I have seen this person enjoy his job a lot. When I had once asked him about the tireless hours that he has to work, he smiled at me and he said, time passes by so quickly he doesn't even realize when he is working. He said to always have a positive outlook in life and he told me that even days where he has had difficult customers to work with, he has always taken it up as a challenge instead of worrying about if he would get a sale or not. He has always given me immense amount of support and this optimistic lifestyle that he lives makes me want to love my work as much as he does.

I have a friend, my best friend, Guru. He works for his family business. His family business is a real estate organization. He initially was inclined towards working for the government and gave some exams for that, but he was not able to clear them. And then went for a master's in real estate. But nevertheless, he was able to find his way into the real estate industry. And when I see the way he talks, his eyes light up. He's so passionate about the industry. He is up to date with all the trends and knows really well about the local market of our city, Jodhpur. Initially, he had no plans of working in the family business, but at one point, his dad asked him to work for him for a couple of months. And once he got into that industry, he was so aligned. He loved understanding the real estate landscape that he was never able to look back to any other path. And right now he manages most of the real estate business that his dad used to handle and has also been on multiple international trips like Switzerland and Singapore to expand his business and create more networking and business opportunities.

I would like to describe a person who is my cousin who works in his family grocery shop which has been running for more than 20 years. He handles customer interaction, manages stocks and also looks like after digital payments and orders. He also helped in modernizing the business. He enjoys working there because it gives him flexibility and a sense of responsibility from a young age. He has learned important life skills such as communication, money management, problem-solving. He has a strong bond in his family as they work together and support each other. He finds working in a family business satisfying because it gives him independence, practical experience and emotional connection, not just financial benefits. He enjoys working there because he takes pride in continuing his family traditions.

Okay, so I would like to speak about a friend of mine whom I have known since around 7-8 years. So he is a school friend of mine. He has been lately working in the field of real estate which was initially started by his father and right now it is more of a family business. Sadly his father is no more so his mother takes care of it. He studied until bachelor's degree which he completed and then instantly hopped on to the family business of real estate. He looks into the marketing and other building and selling aspects. So it is mainly the office work more than the physical work I would say because it is a well established company so there is no much physical work required in that field at a higher authority level. So it is more of a managerial role. I definitely think he loves his work. One it is much easier to get into family business than a regular 9-5 or maybe even start a new business at a very young age because there are a lot of hurdles and this is something already hand given. A person must only continue to take it forward to another level. I have met him a couple of times recently where he explains some of the activities he does on a regular basis and I find him being a lot interested in the work he does when compared to me while I do not enjoy the work I do right now.

    Band 6-7

heart and he does it well. The concepts he, the way he works is actually good. He does take care of his family as well as taking care of his business simultaneously. That's what makes it interesting. I have interacted with him multiple times and I have noticed that he's someone who is compassionate, who keeps track of his family members as well as the person, as well as the people who have interacted with him and tries to gain knowledge out of everyone. That's what I feel is a habit of a leader. You should look out for your people, you should learn from your people and promote the development of both the people, the place you are working and the global cause. That is for the country, I feel.

    Band 6-7

The one person I know who enjoys working for his own family business is definitely my cousin. My uncle and aunt both own a medical shop and they have been working in that field since past 20 years now. Their son, my cousin, completed his bachelors in pharmacy because he has always had interest in chemistry, learning about medicines and doing experiments. He has always been too much into it so he joined the family business of it. Right now he is supporting his father learning more about it and I have never seen him more interested in anything else. I think he loves doing it because I have always seen him being very on his toes in helping people around him and always being very curious about what medicine or what treatment anybody can get if anybody around him is sick or going through any sickness temporarily or permanently maybe. Therefore I know that he has always been a very creative person also, a very inquisitive person also who wants to know about every kind of medicine, every kind of treatment which is there in the market as of now.

    Band 6-7

The person who loves and enjoys working for a family business is my mother. She helps us, helps my father and my grandfather run our family business. We own a bakery. She bakes and she will manage every single program that's going to be held in their little birthday parties, little meeting, meetups. And she cleans everything. And she loves, loves, loves helping. She helps open the shop. She helps cleaning everything. She bakes, she cooks and she serves also. But she does not get paid for it, yet she enjoys it so much. It's just one of her favorite things to do. In addition, she loves to look at my father being happy. She loves seeing my father and grandfather happy. And also, furthermore, she loves us being happy. And, you know, like, she loves us. So she just does it out of love. It's her act of love. She loves working at it. She enjoys serving people. She enjoys looking at people's happy face. She does not like to just sit quietly in a place. Furthermore, her favorite thing is baking. And she gets to do it. And she enjoys it so much.

There's this friend of mine called Chandrashekhar Agadi who lives in Haveri. He has a wholesale distributor business for a brand called ITC which is one of the biggest companies in India that sells FMCG products and also cigarettes. So this is a wholesale business. He particularly has a role of maintaining stock and he is also the proprietor of the business. In addition to being the proprietor, he also does marketing for the business and also attends the meetings on behalf of his family. He enjoys this business because he has the freedom to choose and decide whom to work with and also the style of business and the way of conducting his business. In addition to his work style, he also has the freedom to take holidays whenever he wants to. In spite of his busy schedule, he recently attended a week-long trip with me and my friend where he... And he... And he...

    Band 6-7

Well, the person I know who is working for his family business is one of my neighbors and who is none other than Mr. Kripesh. He has been working in the shop which sells grocery items for decades, if my memory serves me right. I think the shop started by his maternal grandfather and later transposed into his daughter and then to his grandson. The shop sells all the grocery items and the people nearby go to that shop to buy all the things because that shop is very nearby for all of us. I think he enjoys walking there because to hold back the memory that he had in his childhood days when he accompanied his grandfather to the shop every day. So I think he didn't try for any other jobs instead of this because of the delight he gets from walking there. Even now I see him every day going and coming back to the shop.
