When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Yeah, for me, for me personally, like my brother has pushed me a lot in so many different fields. Especially, I remember a time after my 10th grade, I got peculiar marks than what was expected. I was about to change my field, I was about to go in mathematics field, but after seeing my score, I thought of taking commerce, but my brother has just pushed me like this is always your dream to become a computer science engineer, so you should definitely try, try just give it a shot, I know you are capable of doing this. He was someone who has just motivated me a lot. After seeing the result, I was very disappointed, but he stood by me and he went and helped me take admission in my 11th standard, mathematics as my major. And even he helped me throughout my course with love. Whenever I used to have any problems, he used to just help me and figure out the answers to that. And I remember a time when I scored much higher good marks than many other students who have scored top rank in 10th standard. So that has actually proved that I am much more capable of doing stuff. In the end, I want to say just based on one single result, you cannot prove your intelligence. So that has actually proven right for me.

Hi, the person who persuaded me was my ex-manager. This happened back in 2015 when I initially started my career and I was all new to the software field. My manager basically told me to start reading some books based on the programming language that I'm going to deal with. Additionally, he asked me to read some books that can help me increase my vocabulary as well as that helps me boost my confidence and I can feel more confident while trying to deliver my thoughts. So, the persuasion happened because I was a fresher. I had zero knowledge of how to carry out things in a corporate world. When he saw me struggling with these things, he approached me, he guided me in the right direction and eventually I ended up becoming a senior developer in just three months. So, yes, I acted upon it and because of that persuasion and the action against that persuasion helped me achieve higher goals with higher responsibilities.

After completing my 12th, I was wondering what to do next, to take a professional course or to take a degree. I was so confused, but deep down in my heart, my ambition was to become a pilot, but it was way too expensive for me to achieve. But my friend Tejas always motivated me that you should become a pilot, you have that potential and you don't need to take a degree, I will help you, I will assist you to become a pilot. But the thing that was keeping me from not becoming a pilot was, I didn't have that much financial freedom, but he also helped me with the student's loan and the DGC exams that have to be cleared from India itself, so he is one of the most significant person who evolved me from backing down from my ambition.

This is one of my friends. She worked with me during an internship I applied to and we both went to Kashmir. We have worked there for 3-4 months. We stayed there. But a lot of times it happened that she asked me to lend money to the natives. I felt it was unnecessary that they have their own means of earning it. They are currently running small businesses. That's how they can earn it. They are doing a lot of other activities where money can come from. But looking at the children and the families they had, it somehow pushed me that if Sana can do it, I could also contribute in helping the people who were living around me during that time. I think it was necessary. I reflected back on this and it was the right decision. I needed this to happen in my life and it was through that journey I learned a lot. There was a feeling of being independent. There was feeling of joy. There were a lot of learnings in life which came from this experience of living away and helping people. I was not that kind of person earlier.

I have a friend called Avyukt and he is one of the best in software developing and he's one of the computer science major. So as a friend of his, he was really concerned about my growth. So he thought to help me, persuade me to become this software developer side. He told me how to do it, he told me different tools, different applications, what to do it, how to do it. He gave me a whole roadmap. So because he persuaded it for like over two to three months, I gave in and I started doing Python. Then I started shifted my sense to MATLAB. I got enrolled in LinkedIn because of him. Now I'm at a position where I know MATLAB best. I'm one of the best person who have this all things amazing and I'm also a research intern in IIT. It's all because he persuaded me that time. If he wouldn't have given his best towards me and if he won't have been selfless about this thing and want to see me succeed, I would not be anywhere right now. I would be just juggling between the Macs and the college, nothing else. I'm really grateful to that person.

Yes, today I would like to talk about a person who is persuaded to me to do something. Her name is Disha. I met her in my college hostel. She was an energetic and a frenetic person. When I joined in the college hostel, I was a little bit of a couch potato and I don't like to do any other activities like physical activities. Those days she was doing brisk walking and yoga practices and she tends to become my best friend. Those days she told me the advantages of doing the brisk walking and yoga practices. Then when I heard that I became inspired and I started to do the brisk walking along with her and doing the yoga practices by a trainer and it helped me a lot to increase my concentration and it helped me to become a healthy body. I am practicing this yoga and it helped me a lot to improve my concentration during my studies and doing the brisk walking helped me to leading a healthy life. I feel a lot of freshness and joy.

I would say last year I met a person who was different from the people I met in my whole life. I was under training in the bank which lasts for one year and during the training I met my colleague which is very close to me. She teaches me a lot of things during my training and I learned a lot of things from her. She and me have a lot of age difference of at least 12 years but I didn't feel it when I started this job. That time it was difficult for me to share or talk with her because that time I feel like she has a very big gap of age from me. But when I decided to start talking to her she looks like a sister for me. I shared everything even I always have hurry to speak with her in everyday. So she insisted me to make a Rangoli on Holi. Honestly saying before that I didn't make Rangoli in my whole life but she said that you have beautiful painting and you can do it. So I started to think about what kind of Rangoli I should make. So I decided to make a peacock and with that I took some colors and with different colors I made a peacock that was so beautiful. And when I make it I even myself feel that it was a beautiful thing I created and I have a lot of pictures of that. When I shared the pictures on social media most of the people praised me like my friends and my relatives because I tagged that I made it.

A person that persuaded me to do something is my friend Sharon. She insisted that I go to this birthday party that I wasn't even invited to. This birthday party was held by a boy who was Sharon's friend and we were just batchmates. Me and this guy hadn't really spoken together or even spent an ample amount of time together. Sharon and me have been high school friends and we had known each other for the past five years. However, I wasn't invited to this birthday party of her friend's and she wanted me to go for it just so her parents would let her go. I found the situation really uncomfortable because it was hard for me to say no. As a result, I ended up saying yes and we went together. This resulted in me feeling unhappy and a sense of loneliness came over me during the party. I regretted my decision and I also did not like the fact that I was persuaded into this decision. Therefore, I left the party early and I reached home before 10 pm. After this incident, I called Sharon and let her know that it wasn't my decision to come to this party and I do not encourage this kind of behavior anymore.
