When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, hello. So, today I am going to talk about my experience witnessing one of Preetham Das concert. So, yeah, last year I was living in Mysore and Mysore has this tradition of celebrating their Dusshera festival with a lot of grandeur performances. The government organizes a concert that includes both northern and southern regional artists and it's completely free for the public to attend. So, this year a lot of northern artists such as Preetham, Sunidhi Chauhan and Zubin Nautiyal were there to perform for the audience and I went to the Preetham Das concert. Preetham is a very famous, very reputed Indian composer. He has worked in like plenty of Indian movies and his music is very nostalgic for most of my generation as well as people who were huge music geeks in like early 2000s till late 2000s. So, yeah, that day when I went to see the concert, I went alone. I wasn't, I was supposed to go with my friends but they couldn't be able to attend it. So, I was bit sad that I was there all alone and I wouldn't be able to share this experience with my friends but the connection I felt with his music, the memories that have grown to nurture for so long had resurfaced and that made me very emotionally moved. That had a huge impact on me emotionally. Thank you.

I remember a live performance by a singer called Zubin Garg from Assam. I'm basically from Assam and he's a very famous singer in my state. So basically he's a folk singer and he sings and he has many songs in his coveted playlist. So the performance that I'm excited to describe about him was in a festival called Zero Festival in Arunachal Pradesh. I was there in the last month of June. We were a group of 5 friends who visited there. It was a 3-4 days festival and the singer Zubin Garg was performing there. He was performing there with 4-5 of his very famous songs. The song I particularly liked of him was Mayabini. It is an Assamese song which is a tribute to a lover who has been away from you for very long. So we enjoyed the performance totally. He was very good with the mic and he is very unique in comparison to the singers now who use auto-tune and everything to enhance their musical performance. He was a real singer to the core of his heart.

Besides this, it was the first time that I am meeting him and besides this he is a famous Punjabi singer and also it is globally recognized by the world of people. Moreover, I enjoyed his singing and also his voice is very peaceful and always say the true meanings of life in his songs and also lyrics are also always wonderful of his songs. Besides this, he has a very calm nature and always like helping others despite me and my friends and my all relatives dancing together and we all take pictures with them and it was a very beautiful experience for us to meet him.

The live performance I enjoyed a lot. In 2023, I went to a concert by BTS. It was their live streaming of them and that was the first time I was going to a concert by myself and it was mesmerizing. They sang very beautiful songs and I am a big fan of them so each and every song, each and every performance was very impactful for me and I enjoyed it a lot. They were very charming and I was enjoying it to the maximum. I went to the concert by myself and I found friends there who were also fans of BTS. We were a group of girls who were enjoying our favorite band performing and it was interpretable I would say because each and every one of us were happy to the maximum and each song when they sang our favorite songs, we were out of the world and we were screaming our hearts out. That was the most beautiful day I have spent with my ARMY friends. ARMY is the BTS fans. They call us BTS ARMY. We made ARMY friends and we went to cafes. After that live performance, I had a great experience spending time with the people with my taste. So that's it.

To make the… So this performance was done by a Punjabi singer known as Sidhu Moosewala. He is basically a singer and he is from Punjab. He did a singing show back in 2021 in Delhi and I was very curious to go in his show because he is one of my favorite creator at that time and right now also he is not there though. He passed away but still I am very fond of listening to his music because of many reasons like I can relate myself with his wordings as my family is from Punjab only and he is also a Punjabi singer. So the words he used as lyrics are very relatable and you can even… it is also very connecting with life connecting lyrics also. And secondly like I am also from Punjab only, my parents are also from Punjab only so I am very keen to listen to the Punjabi music. This show happened in year 2021 and it happened near my home only in Delhi itself in JLN Stadium, South Delhi.

So, a live performance that I enjoyed a lot was a stand-up comedy from Anubhav Singh Bassi, which I watched last year in July and Anubhav Bassi has been my favorite stand-up comedian. He belongs from a place which is also near to my hometown, the place is called Meerut. So I have been following him since a very long time and finally I got a chance to visit him, see him live and I was sitting in the very front rows and because of that the live performance was very special for me and he also interacted with me, made some jokes on me and so he talked about his college life, his hostel life and even his job hunt and all those things which I could also relate to, made it very funny for me and it was a very new experience for me, something I have been to very few live performances and that was the first stand-up comedy show that I went to. It was very special and I went there solo, so again it was an adventure of such for me. Other than this, he talked about how hard it is for some of the students who do not belong from prestigious colleges to get jobs and along with the comedy, he also showed how the reality of life is. This is something that made the whole show not just comedy but also something from where we can get some message and this is something that makes Anubhav Sangh Basti special.
