Cue 1:What is the job?

  • Clearly state the job you would not like to do in the future.
  • Provide a brief description of the job's responsibilities.

Example

The job I would not like to do in the future is that of a traffic police officer. This role involves managing traffic flow, ensuring road safety, and dealing with violations, which can be quite stressful.

Cue 2:How do you know about it?

  • Share your personal experience or observations related to the job.
  • Mention any specific incidents or stories that influenced your opinion.

Example

I know about this job because I often see traffic police on the roads during my daily commute. I have also spoken to a few officers who shared their experiences, and it made me realize how challenging their work can be.

Cue 3:Whether it is an easy or difficult job?

  • Discuss the challenges and difficulties associated with the job.
  • Mention any aspects that might make it seem easy to others.

Example

I believe it is a difficult job. While some might think it’s easy to just stand and direct traffic, the reality is that they face harsh weather conditions, long hours, and sometimes confront aggressive drivers.

Cue 4:Explain why you would prefer to do something other than do it.

  • Explain your personal preferences and career aspirations.
  • Discuss the reasons that make you choose a different path.

Example

I would prefer to work in a corporate environment where I can use my skills in marketing. I enjoy creative tasks and interacting with people in a more positive setting, rather than dealing with the stress and dangers of managing traffic.

Conclusion

    Example

In conclusion, while I respect the work that traffic police officers do, I believe it is not the right fit for me. I would much rather pursue a career that aligns with my interests and allows me to work in a more comfortable environment.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

In my opinion, operations related roles are one of the toughest jobs that I could think of. My major reasoning for that would be that operations requires a lot of coordination and for you to be on your feet all the time. So, I mean, you would practically not have a lot of time to yourself personally or have a personal life as one would say. So, I am someone who prefers a balanced life and jobs like these wherein you are required to work over hours and extra hours for that matter, work on the weekends and all. So, those kind of job profiles are actually very demanding and which is why I think it would be rather a difficult task to work in this specific role. My experience of working in the operations role was with Shutterdown. It's a small luxury premium wedding company and my job role particularly required me to sort of arrange all of the day-to-day operations and tasks for the internal operations of the team and also scheduling the various events and weddings that were happening. And my understanding from this particular role was that it is something that you cannot really establish boundaries with. It's a job that would not be able to demarcate that. And having said that, I think it might be rewarding on the financial front, but it takes a toll on your physical and mental health and which is why I think I wouldn't want to do that job particularly and anything other than that would be a preferable.

I'm a person who really don't like to work as a government employee as it is a scheduled job from 9 to 5. I'm not a person who is willing to be scheduled like that or organized in a way that 9 to 5. Many of my family members are government employees. So I don't see them often and they are really busy during the weekdays as well as weekends. They are having much work pressure and things to be handled for the next day's work. So I don't prefer it as a really good job. But comparing to other jobs such as the corporate jobs, government employees are being highly paid as well as they are having a scheduled working time. For me it is very old and I can't adjust with that. But the others who are just organized to it will be really comfortable in the job. Moreover I don't want to follow others what they do or I don't want to be a regular person or a regular thing what others see on me. I just want to shine in my own way so that I don't always prefer a government job as it is not good enough.

The job I would not like to do in my future is the production job in the pharmaceutical industry. I know this job from the first year of my B.Pharm bachelors degree. I know it and everything in the pharmaceutical industry. But I don't like the job in the production because in my internship programs I saw all the infrastructures and manufacturing production areas in the pharmaceutical industry. But I don't want to do more careers or future jobs in that sector because it is too much hectic. These jobs are not convenient for these women because it takes more than 8 hours to stand and do her jobs like the research and to form any formulation for which including the weighing of all the products, all the ingredients or the formation of any products. But I think I do jobs in the medical coding because this is the well-doing profession in the pharmacy and it takes the highest peak in today's market. So I think in the upcoming 5 years I take the growth in that field. Due to that my personal growth also develops and I can expect a good salary.

I don't prefer doing the job of teacher because it has never been my dream to teach any people. I got to know the difficulty of this job from my teachers and my mother. They were the great teachers in my life. However, I saw many difficulties they have during their teaching because most of the children were not listening properly or they were making fun of some teachers. That would be some infuriating moments for any teachers. I also don't have a knowledge about how to handle the children and talk with them in a gentle way. I was not really fond of spending my whole life with them. Moreover, children are good to play with but I am not interested in teaching them. Because of all these difficulties and the energy required to handle the children all the time, I don't fancy these jobs. Consequently, I would prefer jobs like being a researcher more because being a researcher is easier than being a teacher. Because we don't have to deal with the children or any source of people. We only need to experiment on certain things and job done.

I think a job that I don't see myself getting into would be a corporate job. In general, for me, a corporate job sounds very hectic and very difficult as you have to work under someone. And for someone who has not been raised in a home like that or in a condition where both parents work independently, they don't work under someone. For me, that whole idea is a bit difficult to accept.

The job that I would not like to do in the future is customer management. When I was studying, when I was pursuing my degree in BBA, I learned that customer management is very crucial for the organization because without the customers, a company cannot survive. But while addressing the customer issues, they will do a lot of complaints regarding the product, sometimes they will talk harshly, and additionally they will throw more number of tantrums, which I don't like. So from there I came to know that customer management is not an easy job, it's a difficult task for me. The reason difficult is because I cannot handle much number of people in a day, as I am an introverted person, I don't like talking to people so much, so additionally it requires much interaction with higher number of people. Rather than customer management, I would like to do paperwork in any company, because that doesn't require much communication with most of the time. And while addressing customer issues, it requires a lot of patience also, and tolerance, which is difficult for me sometimes, and I don't want to make any customer go from the shop just because of my anger, so that's why I don't like this job much. And with paperwork, I would like to do transferring goods from one place to another, because it too doesn't require much communication in the job. So basically I don't like job that require much communication, rather than I will just sit silent and I will complete my work.

A job in the manufacturing industry is something which I would not like to do in near future. I know this because I have already worked in manufacturing industry. It was a factory located on the outskirts of the city. It was not a very good experience. It was a horrible experience if I am being honest. The temperature of machines like manufacturing industries use lots variety of machines which work on higher temperatures like 300 degree celsius. If it is a metal based industry then it goes up to 1000 degree celsius. So working under these conditions is pretty annoying for me and other things which I don't like about this kind of job is there is no work life balance and these manufacturing plants are located in the outskirts of the city so the travelling time is much much more. So if my job was around 8 hours but if we include travelling time then it could reach up to 14 hours so that's not the best part of this job.

The job that I would never, never, would ever like to pursue in future would be the profession of lawyer. The well, it's neither a tough job or it's neither easy job, but I would say it's a really very complex oriented work to basically sustain for my own survival in future. The main reason is that law needs a lot of brain, ethical thinking and also it is very, very argumentative in nature, especially in the law, the moot scores that we today visit in India just to get our own basic fundamental rights get enacted as per the constitution of India. Well, the main reason out for this is that law is something that is basically needs to be followed, but mostly it is also broken in India because in India also the one of the most biggest corruption professional job is the law profession itself, the rich and the powerful people itself basically use their own power, status and money just to basically capitalize the mind of the very intellectual and good hearted lawyer just to win over the cases in India and the poor and the weak people are neglected and not given proper justice in India. Thus, I would not ever, ever go to the profession of law in any of my life because I consider it to be the most corrupted profession in India just after politics. Thank you.

A job I would not like to do in the future would be product listing on e-commerce platforms as well as websites. The reason I know about this job is because during my early career days, I had done this work for almost an year. The reason I would not do this job would be for sure because of its high demand of attention to details whereas if there is even a slight change or slight error in the product listing, the product gets banned immediately.

    Band 6

So if you would ask me what is the job which I don't ever want to do again, that would be marketing. I have specific personal experience which helped me to think like that because marketing is not my cup of tea. During the COVID pandemic time, myself and my cousins planned to start a business which was a QR code sticker for the cars. Initially for that business, we didn't have a dedicated marketing team. So we planned to go to the market and get the customer response and market the product directly to the customers. As a part of that, we went to a nearby town known as Trishul and we started marketing the product. From the first day itself, we got a lot of rejections, we got a lot of look back questions that actually made a belief in myself that this is not my cup of tea. Because by education, I am a doctor, but why I am doing a job which is more stressful and which is more challenging than what I am doing as of now. Of course, my profession has its risks, but I enjoy doing the same. But the skill which I am currently lacking is to convince people and also to make the people to decide whether they need to purchase that product or not. I believe that this is a skill which I am lacking as of now. So if you ask me what's the job I never want to do again, that's the sales or the marketing job.
