When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

India is a diverse country and a culturally rich one. So it holds many different cultures among different states in it. And to me, to be honest, I have only seen the cultures in my own state. And I know certain things that work. For example, marriages, how it takes place. In May, we have certain functions that start with the turmeric ceremony and it proceeds with the henna ceremony. And then later to a one-night marriage, which I have seen since childhood. But for other states, for example, in a nearby state from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, they have this different process through three-day event that takes place during a marriage. So I want to experience the way people hold their marriage ceremony in different state of India. And, for example, in northeastern states, they have completely different attire for marriage. They also have like complete different festivities that are held during this marriage ceremony. And my friend is from Ladakh. She tells me about her culture and I am very intrigued by it. It just makes me very exciting and very excited to know that I am in India. And I could experience all those things by just traveling. So it's my dream to experience and go to other places. And just for once in my lifetime, I want to see how everyone celebrates there. I just want to experience that in my life, how everyone is just doing things together.

The topic that I am interested in my country, India, is provision of public toilets to every population. They need to have clean and hygienic toilets, not just for male but also for females. The females have toilet which includes tampons, cups, menstrual hygiene products. Since India is a country where there is very little to no provision of great washroom and water facilities, it is high time that we need to look into the aspect of provision of good toilets, hygienic, clean and comfortable ones where female or the males, especially male or female is able to enter and is not scared and is able to use the new facilities properly. I would also like to address the fact that the toilets are there but they are not clean. The cleanliness part of the toilet is very important only when there is presence of water in the washroom or toilet papers which can only be done when many people come together and bring about a change. The reason I am interested in this topic is because I myself experienced a very harsh situation where I was into a washroom and I wasn't able to reuse water, tissue or anything and it was completely a very unhygienic experience for me as a girl and I would like to bring about a change.

With the recent news that has been hovering everywhere, the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir, the news that I got to know is through television, radio and every mass media communication sources. For me the point is, the question is, why is it always Pahalgam? I guess from the time I know, it's the second attack that has happened in Pahalgam and I just don't understand why it is only Pahalgam and why J&K? I understand that Pakistan wants Kashmir, they still feel like that is more a part of their country than ours. But why is it always Kashmir, was my own question, always. And to be honest, at this point, it's more like they are provoking the differences between religions and everything, with the fact that they had asked questions regarding their name and they shot people dead when the Hindu name had come out. It's just such a trivial matter and I'm really happy with the way that the government of India is dealing with the situation. They had stopped the water supply and it kind of impacts everything. And from my observation, whenever there is an external officer that comes to India, that is when such attacks happen. Like if there is an officer coming from US or something, as soon as they come, there is some random attack happening in that area and to me, Kashmir is such a beautiful place and people, to be honest, should have some brains to continue to do whatever they were doing instead of killing people.

They want to play cricket and right now India is the leading, India is the best country in the cricket world. Then there are other countries like Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan etc. I started to watch cricket when I was 19 years old and there was a match between Australia and India happening in 2015. At that time India lost the game which was semi-final. I was studying at that time in 8th standard. So this was my first experience that I accessed. From that time onwards I started keep watching, kept watching this cricket and as of now India has four, I think two ODI World Cups, two T20 World Cups and one Test Championships. It means India won two ODI World Cups, two T20 World Cups and one Champions Trophies.

That's why I like our culture and if I am talking about the festivals, I like Diwali, Holi, etc. The festivals of colors which we celebrate to make everything colorful when we are living as a black and white life. So the meaning of the Holi is to make everywhere colorful. And if I am talking about Diwali, Diwali is the festival of joy and lights. The topic is gang rapes against women. I got to know about this particular thing from the articles, from the newspapers and from many of the locals in my state and across the country as well. The reason that I have chosen this topic is that because being a girl, it's actually my responsibility to understand the pain that a girl is going through when it is happening to her and to just stand with her, to just stand with the family, what they are going through in that particular situation. So tomorrow it can happen to you, but what's the thing, what's the point in you not taking stand for a woman in the situation that what she is going through. So I feel that every woman should take stand on this particular situation and raise the voice against all these rapes that are happening against women and to make appeal to the government to have a safe environment around girls so that they can live a peaceful life, so that they can go out and do whatever they want because in today's life, in today's generation especially, girls are thinking twice before going out to purchase anything as well because their families, their parents especially are feeling so scared to even send their child out of the house. So we should not be in that situation and just come out of this by raising a voice against the child rapes that are happening across the country. So that is the reason that I have chosen this topic so that I raise my voice against this and make my country a better place so that a girl can roam around very happily and peacefully.
