Show all 26 answers

Cue 1:When did it happen?

  • Begin by stating the specific time and place of the experience.
  • Mention any relevant events or activities happening around that time.

Example

It happened last summer during a family gathering at my uncle's house. We had all come together to celebrate my cousin's birthday, which usually involves a lot of fun and games.

Cue 2:Who were you with? What did they do?

  • Describe the people you were with and their relationship to you.
  • Explain what activities they were engaged in that contributed to your boredom.

Example

I was with my cousins and a few family friends. While everyone else was busy playing games and chatting, I found myself sitting on the sidelines, as I wasn't interested in the games they were playing.

Cue 3:Why did you feel bored?

  • Identify the reasons for your boredom, such as lack of interest or engagement.
  • Mention any attempts you made to join in or change the situation.

Example

I felt bored because the games were too childish for my taste, and I didn't know how to engage with the conversations happening around me. I tried to suggest a different game, but no one seemed interested, which made me feel even more disconnected.

Conclusion

  • Summarize your feelings about the experience and what you learned from it.
  • Reflect on how you might handle similar situations in the future.

Example

In the end, I realized that sometimes, it's okay to feel bored, as it can lead to self-reflection. Next time, I might try to initiate a different activity or find a quieter space to engage in my own interests.

Tip

Organize your answer by following the cue prompts. Start with when it happened, then describe who you were with, and finally explain why you felt bored.

Overly Negative Tone

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A feeling, a feeling which I had was a feeling of a crush towards a person, which happened during 2019. I think we met on an online site. He was, he was very, very good looking. And furthermore, he was a very affluent person. And I like this mannerism, the way he spoke, the way he moved, everything, everything was like, I saw everything in a glass, glass filled with Rosy. I don't know how do I explain it. Rosy filtered glass. Everything was like a magic when I met him too. So it, it, it was very intense in the beginning, when we started speaking and got to know each other. And, and after a certain period of time, I knew it was love, but he felt differently. But we were still dating and we got to know about each other more. Furthermore, he was a very intelligent person who always provided answers to all of my problems in life. I wish I had him in my life even now, but we are not together because of why? Because it got boring after a while. Boring in the sense, we, we, we meet each other, we talk to each other. And it was okay till we were studying. And after that, we had life drifted us apart. And the when the boredom settled in, we decided that it's time to call it off. And it was a disheartening decision. But we chose it with love for towards each other. And it is not a very big, I still remember it as a distant memory. And I still think of him fondly. But the scars are still there of that love.

Feelings are the most important part of human beings. With feelings we can express our emotions to the next person. Today I would like to tell, I want to express and I want to tell that when, experience when I got bored with others. At the time when I was at my aunt's home at that day. It was my cousin's birthday and I left home very early. So she calls me there so I can prepare for her birthday. But when I reached there, there was no one. My friend was out of her house because she was busy doing something. She had to go to parlour. But then when I visit her home, my aunt was there and I meet my aunt and I sit down. And aunt was busy in doing work and that time I sit in her, my friend's room and my phone is dead. And I called my friend. So when he will come, she will come and she told me she will, she will take at least one hour and then I sit. I suffer sometimes, I play with the toys but toys not good and I watch TV. But at that time I was not feeling good and I feel very bored at that time. And I think, and I think at the end of the story, this is the time when I failed.

So, I would like to describe the time when I joined my new job. It was my second job actually. So, what happened was that this job was very different from what I was doing earlier. It was all about administrative field and very different from the academic ones which I used to practice earlier. So, what happened is that whenever my colleagues, in the initial days, it was so difficult for me to follow them because they used to discuss about all the administrative matters, about report making, about registration, licensing. It was all confusing and I used to get bored like I didn't have any clarity about what they are talking. So, what else I can, I can't do. I was also always worried and to think that if I will be able to ever contribute to the job because I have no clarity about what to do. But later, and so I used to get bored of all day because I just pushed myself to go into this job. It was a 10 to 5 job. So, I always have to push myself to go for this job. It was really a terrible experience for me. So, I decided to pursue a PhD other than just getting struck with this job. So, but later this problem was little solved because we got training to how to perform at this job. So, it brought a little clarity of how we should do our job. But still, the boredom still remains. So, I hope I could move to some other profession which I will find not boring.
