When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Here I would like to talk about Kabaddi which is also a national sport of my state Haryana. Kabaddi is basically a team game which is played between two teams, seven-seven individuals divided into two teams. I played this game since my childhood. I have joined when I was playing district level Kabaddi for my school. So I have started playing Kabaddi from my 5th class and I was a left-handed defender. Kabaddi is basically a team game where seven-seven individuals are divided into two teams. Four defenders, right-cover, left-cover, left-corner, right-corner and three raters. Basically we play on the mat and also on the ground. There are two types of coordination, Kabaddi and circle Kabaddi. This game is also a variety and now it is popularized widely. Kabaddi is basically a region from India and one of the oldest sports of Kabaddi. As I already mentioned, it is played between seven-seven individuals divided into two teams. There is a mat in which there is a middle line which will have to cross and go for reading into the court of other team and their defenders. There is a line which has to cross to validate his read and there is a bonus line. When a person touches it, he has to cross that middle line. There is also a line which throws him out of the game. Kabaddi is one of the most popular sports in India. There are two sets of 20-20 minutes and two sets are played. The maximum score will definitely win. I watch it every year. It is going on now in India. They are known as BKL Pro Kabaddi which has given boost to many Indian teams. India is the only team which has always won.

I would love to watch football the British call it football and the Americans call it soccer. My favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo who has played for Manchester United and Manchester United is my favorite club I've been supporting this club since 2009 and I think it's the most important sport to watch in the entire world people with almost five to six million people watch it and it's really fascinating for a 90-minute game and 22 players in it. The most important part is that you get a result after 90 minutes so you don't have to wait a day or two for the result of it. The hustle, the passion, the motivation throughout the game makes me really happy to watch it and it's not only about that but people getting ample wages through it and producing development and a lot of employment as well development as in for the nation. This is just not a sport but my life as well because I have been playing football not only on field but virtually as well so it helps to gain so much knowledge and also get maturity when you're going through a lot of stuff in the game and you get to know about the game and the relationship with the players and the managers and the coaches. It's really fascinating to learn all these things when you're watching football and yes so that's why I would love to watch football and I love watching football all the time so yeah that's it.

I watch cricket on television. I also like to play it. It's a two-game team sport where each team has 11 players. One team decides to attack the ball first and the other team tries to chase the totem or try to defend the totem. So there are 11 players in each team and usually there are 7 batsmen and 5 bowlers. One of the bowlers is an all-rounder. Their teams should be a perfect combination of batters and bowlers. So there are 2 openers and there is also a wicket-keeper that will try to defend the wickets. The batsmen can hit the ball to the boundary and it will be 6 runs. If the ball touches the ground before the wicket, it will be 4 runs. In the meanwhile, the batsmen try to cross the pitch so that they can score runs. Even if the ball does not reach the boundary, the batsman is still able to score runs by running across the pitch. For the bowlers side, each bowler has to throw 6 balls in an over. So in T20, there are 4 bowlers for each bowler. There are 2 types of bowlers, pace bowlers and spinners. Pace bowlers try to take a big run up so that they can get enough speed to throw the ball while spinners try to spin the ball after throwing it to the ground so that batsmen cannot predict where the ball will turn.

Band 6-7

So a sport that I like to watch is cricket. I've been playing cricket since my childhood and as you know that if you stay in India, then at least 9 out of 10 people play cricket in India. So talking about the sport, there are two teams consisting of 11 players. At a time, one team is at the batting side of the game and one team is at the bowling side of the game. The ground of a cricket field is circular in shape. It has a specific length of a boundary. A boundary is when a ball crosses the limit that has been built around the ground and then it is either 4 runs or 6 runs. If you hit it directly outside the boundary, then it is 6 runs. If you hit it on the ground, then it is 4 runs. I've played professionally, I've played cricket professionally for the past 20 years of my life. So I've represented U-16 Maharashtra in the Vijay Merchant Trophy that is organized by the BCCI and the U-19 team of Maharashtra in the Vinnu Mankat and Kujbiha Trophy if you know that in BCCI. So in the later years, I have been not performing as good as I should have. So that is why I am thinking of dropping out from cricket and moving towards studies abroad and that's why I am giving this ad. Then there are two types of games in cricket which is a limited over game that consists of the 50 overs ODI that is one day internationals and the T20s that those are played in IPL. And then there is the test cricket which consists of a game played for five days. So I love cricket a lot and I hope that we win the next World Cup soon.

Band 6-7

Cricket is a very good sport and in the world every nation has a team of this sport. This game is played in free format T20, One International and Test match. T20 have 20 overs and each team used to play 20 overs. Test have 19 overs and 2 innings. This is a 5 day match and ODI have 50 overs each team to play.

Band 6-7

A sport where the ball doesn't touch the floor, the game doesn't work till the ball touches the floor. Volleyball. A sport where you always look up. The sports which I like, I like to watch volleyball matches, like not on the TV, but in person where when I am present in the stadium, experiences the squeaking of the players and the sweat and feeling the heat among them. It is played with 6x16s with one level who can independently go in and out, but needs to stay back off the line. It is a sport where you need to be very energetic because you are moving constantly here and there to attack, to defend or to set the ball for another spiker. And it's also a sport which is so engaging and inspirational as it teaches you about the teamwork and helps develop your cognitive skills on where to attack, where to set the ball and where to place the ball so that the opponent team cannot pick up the ball. It's a very strategic game, whether it not seems like so, because it's very competitive. But in India, there are not many opportunities, at least where I am staying, there are none. But I need, I want to play volleyball. In college, I would definitely play that sport as it is the one I truly love and would like to make a career in if I ever get the chance. Thank you.
