The shop I often visit is located in the bustling market area of my neighborhood, just a few blocks away from my home. It's called 'Daily Needs' and is situated right next to a popular café. When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My favorite store is a store called Gaurav. It is located in Mumbai and it was near my college. I used to visit this store almost every week when I was in college and this store was particularly impressive because it had a wide range of imported goods that were available at a subsidized rate as compared to others of the category. To begin with, when you enter the store, there is a drink section to the right which has international as well as domestic drinks at a very reasonable rate. Near the drink section is the packet snack section. Gaurav produces all of its snacks including Indian snacks in-house and provides them under its own brand which is very unique. Many goods are available under the same umbrella and that is why I really love this store. Apart from that, there is a fast food counter which serves the best Indian fast food such as chaat and samosas and they also provide discounts for bulk orders. There is also a sweets section which has a variety of sweets and confectionary which appeals a lot to the younger audience.

A store I visit many often is the Kolkata Confectionary. It's located on the National Highway 13. It is a bakery which imports breads and all sorts of cakes and delicious delicacies from all around the world including Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain. All sorts of food items related to confectionery are available here. It is one of India's biggest confectionery stores and it hosts around 200,000 different varieties of cakes and breads available worldwide. It hosts some of the most delicious delicacies which our city has ever seen including croissants from France and cornettos from Italy. It also includes our traditional bakeries' breads as well such as roti, chapati. These are also available there. The quality of the shop is top notch and there is no comparison of it with any other bakery or confectionery in Kolkata or perhaps I say in West Bengal. This shop is our emotion. I have been visiting there since my childhood. They always incentivize and give discounts to the younger kids who come there to buy cakes. We can avail this offer if we are under the age of 12. To wrap up, this bakery has been our emotion and it is one of the best bakeries in not only Kolkata but in all of India.

Nevertheless the ambience of offline shopping is altogether different as I keep on hopping on to new trends and I am always quite fascinated by the emerging trends in fashion so I want to inculcate all those in my closet. I keep visiting the shops every now and then. All the ladies and young girls from my neighborhood also thong that shop occasionally and usually after their work or college. One of the shops that I often visit is a local stationery and bookstore called Paper Nest located in the near heart of my town, just a short walk from my home. It's a small independent owned shop, but it's packed with a wide range of useful and creative supplements. The shop offers everything from pens, notebooks, and art supplies to academic books and motivational novels. I usually go there to buy notebooks, pens, highlighters, and some other books related to my studies or personal interests like philosophy and self-improvement. The owner even helps recommending good reading based books on my preferences which I often find very thoughtful.
