When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of my colleagues, her name is Tenzin and she loves reading books because her hobby is to read a book and she loves reading books on leisure time and we used to call her a bookworm because every time she used to sit with books and whenever we go on a vacation or a park or a garden, she used to carry books with her, usually she used to read books on horror, sometimes a love story also. As every time when we get a free time, she will have always with her a book in her hand and she always used to visit the library near her hometown to read the new new novels and whenever the new novels come in a market, she get to know about it and she read it because she never miss the new novels whatever it be, she has always updated on

I think the person who likes to read the most in my life is Delisha, who is an extremely close friend of mine. I've known her since my undergraduation, which means precisely three to four years now. The reason why I feel she really likes reading books is because she explores out on all kinds of genres, be it thriller, rom-poms, self-work. I think she's read all kinds of books, and as someone who's trying to infuse reading into her day-to-day life, I do rely on her recommendations at large because she is someone who is aware out on newer books, different kinds of books, and books that will instantly gauge my attention, which I believe is extremely important. As someone who's not read books a lot over the past few years, I think her recommendations have helped me to read out on at least two to three books in a year. She's someone who reads at least three to four books in a month and often has a summary to offer for each book, giving a proper understanding of the plot, which helps me decide on if I do want to continue reading this book or not. So she is a reliable source, given the amount of time she puts into reading books on a day-to-day basis.

The person who is fond of reading, whom I know, is my dad. He just loves to read newspapers. I have seen him read newspapers since the time I was a child. He has always been very fascinated towards newspapers. He even loves to read books for that matter. But newspaper is something which he has never gone without. There has not been a single day that he has not gotten up and read the newspaper. If he is in a rush, he will take the newspaper along with him to his office but he will never forget that. Even in some instances, if he has forgotten to carry his newspaper, he has always bought a new one on his way to work. He has always loved to read since his childhood but he was not that privileged enough to get those facilities as my grandparents come from a relatively poor background. So, for quite a few years, he did not have the privilege to go to school but after a certain point when they became financially stable and he was allowed to go to school, my dad developed the fondness for reading. Apart from newspapers, he loves to read all kinds of books, all kinds of magazines and he has always taught me also to actually read as it is always said that books are man's best friends. So, whatever you feel like, he has always told me to actually read.

Band 6-7

A person that comes to my mind who likes to read a lot is my friend from school time. She is Gurmehar. I knew her from 6th standard and we were studying together. She was my batchmate and we used to study together and play together. So she was always into books. She used to bring a book to the school with her and secretly read while sitting at the back seat and the teachers would scold her for that and the whole situation is so funny. We used to laugh but also admire her for reading a lot. She was into fantasy novels or autobiographies. She used to read Chetan Bhagat or fantasy novels like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. So me and my one other friend Rhythm were also into reading because we admired the trait of her so we inherited from her. So we also used to issue books from the library and read it secretly in the class. It would be so much fun. I think she likes to read because she always liked to live in her fantasy world. When you read a book, you always indulge in the book so much that you forget about your own real world. I think maybe that may be the reason because she likes to read a lot. Even I also started reading Percy Jackson novels and then also the book called Twilight. The book has a funny story because that book travelled from me to Rhythm and to Gurmeharth again.

My mother is a person who likes to read a lot. She always reads something or the other. The most frequently she reads is the newspaper, which is Times of India, a daily newspaper. And also the story-related books or moral-related books. Also few magazines, which are related to interiors as well as cooking books. And the online stories, which we usually have in the Kindle or e-books. She likes to read these type of books because she is interested in it. And also due to her profession, she always has a tendency to read every type of books or her hobby. To read any paper related to some news or articles, etc. In addition to that, she is connected to the stories, which were told or which were described in the books. As she always describes that it feels like it motivates her in order to move forward in life. Moreover, she shares all the stories with us and also asks us the morals of the stories and how we felt about that. Additionally, she also browses through the internet in order to read some kinds of books.

Reading has become a habit rather than a hobby for her. I am talking none other than my sister. My sister is currently studying in her 9th grade in London. I know her since childhood. She is a very mischievous kid. She used to do a lot of activities in a certain way that would make me and my mom angry. Well, the habit of reading was inculcated from me to her when she saw me reading certain books. As I like the genre of Indian tradition and mythology, I used to read books about certain Indian traditions. And she got inspired after seeing me and she also borrowed few books from me and started reading them. Well, the words mesmerized her and she started gaining more interest in certain stories not only that belong to the genre that I used to follow but she started gaining more interest in genres that her interest grew. Over a period of time, she became a part-time reader to a serial reader. From becoming a mischievous girl to a bookworm, she has inspired me to keep my reading habit continued as further. But this is not just the beginning.

Band 6

The person who likes to read a lot is none other than myself. I love reading books. It can be of any genre. I love reading romantic books, suspicious books, spiritual books, fictional books, spiritual books. It helps me to understand so many different things. I usually prefer reading after having a long day and it calms me down. I love suspense thriller books as well. It creates a curiosity in my mind and it makes me finish the book as well. In this world where we often use social media more and we keep scrolling through the social media, it is important to at least read a book once a day for at least 10 minutes. It will help us to improve our vocabulary and it will help us to understand what exactly the things are. We will get the moral of the story as well, the conclusion is written. It is not that important that what kind of books you read, there are a lot of kinds. The books are bad as well, good as well, but it is up to us like how we take it as a person, what all things we get to learn through that book. So it definitely helps me out to understand more.

Band 6

I have a friend who always seems to be so interested in novels and some fascinating stuff. It will always be friction. I recently heard through her that she is reading the new or recently released book called Midnight Sun. The author name is Stephanie Mayer. It is a series about vampires living as normal humans hidden in a small country and how they live their life like a student, a doctor and how people don't seem to recognize them. Moreover, they have a specific house in the woods where no one can even reach. But if they realize that they are not like humans, they can blink their eyes very fastly, which is not often seen in humans. They don't drink human blood. Instead, they have switched to animal blood since drinking human blood can stop them from living a sustainable lifestyle, which often comes with endangering them.
