When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of the most memorable dinners I have ever had was about 6 months ago, when I went out with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday, we chose a reversal restaurant in our city which was known for its cozy outdoor seating and beautiful view of water. The atmosphere was amazing, there were fairy lights hanging above the tables and soft music was playing in the background, it felt very warm and inviting and as soon as we sat down, everyone was in a cheerful mood, we ordered a variety of dishes to share including grilled fish, pasta, some traditional Indian curries and desserts like gulab jamun and chocolate cake. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and the presentation made the food even more appealing. What made the dinner truly special wasn't the food but also the time we spent together, we laughed, shared stories and even reminisced about family memories. At one point, we took a short walk along the riverside which added a calm and magical feeling to the evening, I remember the desserts particularly well, the chocolate cake was soft and rich and the gulab jamun was perfectly sweet. The combination of good food, a beautiful setting and happy company made it an unforgettable evening. Overall, this dinner was memorable because it wasn't just about eating, it was about spending quality of time with my family and creating happy memories and even now, I often think back to that evening with a smile.

Recently, I got married and I was invited for a dinner by my sister-in-law. The dinner was at her house. It was a family reunion. We were specially invited since we were recently married. We went for the dinner along with our family members. It included around 30 members. It is inclusive of the elderly people, the adults and the children. We prepared the dishes for the dinner. I was involved in cooking. I was not an expert in cooking for more number of people. However, I got guidance from the elderly people who assisted me in cooking. We prepared the dish. My favourite dish was tamarind rice which was prepared with caution. It was served to me and we enjoyed the moment. For each spoonful, I could see delight in everyone's eyes. It was a heartwarming family reunion. I enjoyed a lot with some indoor games involved as well. The cooking experience and the family moment was great. We enjoyed a lot there. I wish to get more family dinners like this in order to have a healthy conversation with my family members and to get involved in my family reunion activities. This is a heartwarming moment.

It was an evening on a festival known as Diwali, which is celebrated in India. During this festival, my family comes together to sit and eat. We ate lots of sweets and my mother had prepared condiments and sweets. Also, pulao, which is our favourite. I believe I really loved this particular dinner because it's rare that all of the family members are under one roof. So when they do come together, I feel really happy and satisfied, also emotional.

I would like to recall a place that me and my family went in Jainagar, located in Bangalore. The place is called Phur, which is a Pan Asian Indian based cuisine. We reached there and it was extremely crowded, but we had booked a private seating and our waiter led us to that seating area. As soon as we made ourselves comfortable, we were welcomed with a nice refreshing mango drink, after which we ordered a bunch of items. One of which was a modern based Pani Puri, mango based Pani Puri. It was quite interesting because Pani Puri is considered as a spicy dish, but mango added a tangy flavor to it. Apart from this mango based Pani Puri, we also ordered a hummus based taco, which is a Mexican fusion. This was also quite interesting because taco is never mixed with hummus. Apart from this, we also tried a Lucknowi based Roti Sabji, which was quite enhancing on the taste buds. So overall, it was a very unique and fond memory that I would like to recollect.

One of the best dinners I've had was recently at my best friend's birthday. So we thought we can make that like a potluck party before the birthday celebration started. So my best friend's birthday was on September 12th. On September 11th, all of us gathered in her house with a dish made on our own. So all our friends from childhood, we made one dish of our choice and we took it to her house and her family was supposed to decide who cooks the best. And at every dish, their family had to tell a specific story they could relate to. And we had a lot of laughter, fun, listening to all their beautiful stories of their young times and enjoying our food. Not everyone was perfect with what they did, but everyone made an attempt to make a food that was very tasty and very beautiful. I think that was one of the most beautiful evenings that I've ever had. Apart from that, we also played games on the dinner table. It was just like sentence building, one person tells a sentence and the next person continues. And we ended up making a whole story that led to a lot of laughter and fun. This dinner will be something that I will cherish for a lifetime. And in future, we look forward to having more dinners like that.

So, a great dinner that I had was on my birthday. My birthday is on 18th of May and this year I decided to celebrate my birthday with my closest friends in Delhi. I have a total of three friends, Rohit, Anupra and Megha. We went to a really nice place in Majnuka Deela which is here in Delhi. It was a Tibetan themed restaurant and we ordered loads of good food, lots of amazing drinks and they gifted me a lot of cute things like perfume and lipstick and what not and we also cut a cake and they also gave me a beautiful bouquet. They were all my favourite flowers and we had a great time together and it was one of the bestest birthday that I could ever wanted as an adult. I was missing my parents a lot that day but my friends made sure that I do not miss home and that day it was just amazing and special. It is one of my fondest memory that I will always have it in my core and inside my heart.

A great dinner that I enjoyed was my father's birthday dinner last year in September. We celebrated it at my grandparents' house and all my family were there. It was a surprise birthday dinner as my father had no idea that we had planned him this family get-together for dinner. Not only were his family members invited but also some of his best friends were there too. Some of whom he hasn't met in years now. And their children, their wives, everybody was there. It was quite a spectacular dinner. We had caterers, we completely turned our grandfather's room into this whole beautiful decorative masterpiece as we would like to call it. What made it even more special was I met so many people that greatly impacted my father's life. And so many people that he inspired. My cousin that I hadn't met for years now because she never lived close to us, I saw her after ages and that was really fun and enjoying. Moreover, my grandparents said that this may never happen again as it's a once-in-a-lifetime thingy when everybody come together and have this amazing dinner and amazing families. And that's why we should enjoy it and that's why I love it so much.
