The university was established as the Tounis College, but later on the name changed to the University of Edinburgh. It is known to be the fourth Scottish University which was established by the Royal Charter.

Accommodation

The institution makes an attempt to make newcomers feel welcome and offers guaranteed campus housing if confirmation is completed by the deadlines set by the university. The residence halls are fully furnished, with all utilities, laundry, and internet access included.
