When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A historical building I would like to talk about is Charminar. My friend who is a resident of Hyderabad introduced me to this place, Charminar. It is most important place for Muslims around the area. As I mentioned earlier, here the Muslims believe that when they took a round around this Charminar, their wishes will be granted and they will have a lifetime of happiness. The unique structure of this place made me speechless. 45 pillars are used to construct this place. Apart from this, the building's cement is a particular thing we have to talk about. Furthermore, the food around this area is really good and definitely to try. In night times, there is also a light show going on which is famous for this area and the people around this are really eager for this light show. To add to addition, Charminar is a place not only Muslims but also other religions also take part in the rounding around this place.

When I recently visited Delhi, I went to a place named Humayun's tomb. Humayun's tomb was built in 1600 century by his son Akbar. It's basically built as a memory of his father. Being a civil engineering student, I had a keen interest on observing the architecture involved in the building. When I first went to the place, I observed what kind of foundation they used from the notice board. Then when I looked at its intricate carvings on every dome, I was surprised by its Persian architecture style. The tomb was surrounded by a huge garden which has similar architectural buildings around the tomb. It also has four to five entrances where the kings used to go in earlier times. There is also a special Persian style arch in the middle of the Humayun tomb which translates peace and harmony which it symbolically represents.

I've recently been to Mysore with my friends. I've been on a vacation. There I went to a place called Mysore Palace and I think it's a very beautiful piece of architecture. There while exploring the palace, I think it took about almost half, almost four to five hours to explore each part of the palace. I think it contains most of the beautiful architecture pieces coming to the Mughal art, etc. I think as the rulers changed, as type of the ruling changed, I think it restored all parts of it very beautifully. I came across these amazing paintings of the rulers which have ruled Mysore and I really found very appreciative of how they restored and how they stored all of this. I came across many architectures, architecture forms and many accessories in that form. There was a section where it displayed all of the jewellery and all of the architecture or even weaponry used at that time. I found it very fascinating. It really poked at my interest and I think even though how many people have come and destroyed it, there are some parts of it which were destroyed. I think the system nowadays, I think they restored it very nicely and some of them unfortunately have not been destroyed. I really enjoyed the visit of the Mysore Palace.
