When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I remember when I moved to my new home, I was so mesmerized by seeing the new infrastructure and all stuff that was kept in the home. I felt very good when I was moving into the new home. The feeling was quite different because previous house, I was so attached to that as well. When I was moving into the new home, the only focus of mine was interior. I wanted to design the home with my choice. So, I was so happy. I like to stay here because the society is really good, the atmosphere and there is a lot of greenery over here. The neighbors are so good. They are welcoming. They weren't harsh at us initially, which I liked it. The accommodation also we live in, it's a 4BHK apartment. It is so good. It's very spacious. We also have a pool upstairs, in which we usually swim on the weekend. We have lots of parking space as well, in which our previous home didn't have.

Band 6-7

I clearly remember moving into my new home it was back in 2012 we move into our new home which is in Meerut before that we were living in a rented room it was just a single room and we are a family of four member so that means our study was also being affected with living with a single room only because it is was a common room with the sleeping pad a study table and not so much of furniture so I was very excited when our new home was constructed I during the one whole it took one whole year to construct this out is a two-floor house and I was really excited during the process so I frequently used to visit the house and used to guide our contractor who was building this house how to add some personal has to add some details which will make it more personal the day we moved into our house I was very excited and so was my whole family after we start living in our house although in the starting it was not well furnished and not well equipmented but there was a sense of gratitude and I was really happy I started to plant little trees adding personal touches started to paint a wall myself and I still remember those days it gives me a peace of mind and I really love my house whenever I am having a tiring day I just sit in my room with my plants and relax that from that moment till today I used to make everything good in this house I love my new home and I will surely keep modifying it

Last year, I moved to a new home in Gurgaon. It was, I started living in the first floor. It was a three floor building apartment and we lived in a 3BHK which was fully furnished. The house was located, was centrally located in the middle of Gurgaon. I lived in sector 40 and it was very quiet in terms of a place. The life of living in that particular house was very nice. I moved with two other friends. I joined a new, I joined a new workplace. So that is one of the reasons I moved to Gurgaon and I wanted to live with my friends as well. So for this particular job, I moved to Gurgaon which was only nine kilometers away from my office. When I moved to this place, I felt initially scared but later after living there for more than a year now, I feel happy living with my friends. I think moving is a great part of somebody, for somebody in order to learn about new places, new cultures, new life and explore different things about cultures.

Band 6-7

Initially buying a new home, I thought that it was not a cup of my tea, but later on I was able to achieve that. So, my new home is in Pune. It's 30 km from my office and it's a 2 BHK, 2 bedroom hall kitchen apartment and the area located is Talegaon. I was over the moon when I was able to achieve that flat. So, it took a lot of hard work for me to buy the home. There were so many procedures to do and back and forth with working with procedures to work with the builders and the bankers and I had to sign all the agreements and paperwork and apart from that there was a flat registration process. So, I had an appointment one day to go to the flat registration and complete the procedure there. So, finally with all the procedure was done, I was able to shift and I felt to be over the moon that I have achieved my dream and my dream came true. My parents were really happy about it and I felt like now I can stay in my own home instead of sharing rental apartments with my roommates or my friends and so it was commendable. That's all I want to say about this and thank you.

Band 6-7

So, recently we took a new apartment. It's a joint family apartment. We have a huge family. So, initially we were very sceptical about should we take a 1 BHK apartment or a 2 BHK apartment. So, as we are a joint family, so we concluded on to take a 2 BHK apartment as me and my mother, my brother, my sister and my father stay together. So, it is a 2 BHK apartment. It is very spacious and we have recently moved on to the home. We have shifted everything, all the stuffs, furniture. It is now fully furnished apartment. I also would like to mention that it takes a lot for a person to get a new apartment in a place like Mumbai. As we all know, struggling for years and years, it is very difficult to get an apartment, good apartment, spacious apartment for yourself in Mumbai. So, we got that. It is near the area of South Bombay in Bandra. It has a spacious balcony. It has my personal bedroom, a bedroom for my brother and my sister. I feel that a home is not just a home by the interiors but it is considered as a home when it is full of people and you have your family around. I really believe in staying together in harmony other than nuclear apartments which is the new trend now.

Band 6-7

That is an extremely interesting question because as a matter of fact, I have shifted a lot. So, I am 17 years old right now and I have already changed around 16 houses, which is really funny because I have lived a life very similar to that of a nomad. One of the houses which I can very clearly recall is the one in Dubai when I was shifting from India to Middle East because of my parents' job. I vaguely remember how the house looked but I do know that it was a place where I felt extremely comfortable contemplating that it was in a society which had numerous amount of children of my age. Having people of your age around you makes you feel belonging to you. And it is just wonderful to know more people your age because you can strike conversations more easily and people see the things with the same point of view as you. I really, really enjoyed my time in that house and made some very good memories with my parents. It's not that there haven't ever been arguments because without that a family is truly incomplete. But I myself feel gobsmacked recalling the amount of exhilarating memories that I made with my parents.

Band 6-7

At the time when I had to move from my home to another was when I started my UG in Coimbatore. It was when I was 19 years old. Until then, all those 19 years, I was at my house and I was very much happy and satisfied being around my parents. It was the first time I was moving away from them and then I had to shift to another home because it was never like my home because I never had my parents there. Yeah, our parents make our home, you know, and it never used to be like my original home but it consisted of two bedrooms, a single bathroom, a hole and a kitchen which was situated in the middle of a city. I had a few roommates with me, they were not my colleagues or classmates but they were from my ex-hostel, they were CA students who were doing their internship. It was in 2020, I guess, in Coimbatore, the exact place and location is PN Parliament which is very much near to my college. I was very, very much sad to be around that because I never had time to visit my parents most of the days as I had to attend classes even on Saturdays except on 2nd and 4th Saturday. I had to cook my own dishes, I had to laundry my dresses which was a very tough task for me because I was around my mother all those years. I guess all of you had such situations in your life too which made it harder.

Band 6-7

Nowadays in India, a lot of people buy new houses and today I would like to talk about a house that me and my parents bought back in 2017 and the house was located in sector 117 Mohali and it was in a society called Ekmey Heights Extension 2. The house was a 4BHK penthouse and we moved in on September 21, 2017. Me and my parents and my two sisters were very excited as it was our first own house. We were all excited the day before and we couldn't sleep. Also, the house consisted of furniture and many chandeliers. The chandelier was a modern type and we purchased it from a market called sector 17 and the furniture was purchased from a company called Home Center. The furniture was classical and the ceilings and the wallpapers were all modern type so it was the most good feeling that me and my parents had and we were all emotional because it was one of our own and the first house that we bought.

Band 6-7

Moving to a new house was a bittersweet experience for me. There were good memories attached to me from that particular house that I was living in back in the day, but also some acrimonious ones. Well, I moved from a 2BHK to a 3BHK apartment 5 years ago, and the reason why we moved to a new house was because it was well ventilated and we needed a good neighborhood to live in. Also, I earlier used to live with my grandmother, and since she passed away, we felt like that house started to haunt us, which is why we always wanted to get out of there. But the new things that the new house brought in for us was just overwhelming, and it provided me with a sense of calm and composure. It was imbued with a sense of positivity. The new house has a trail of trees running across the road, which insulates our house from the sound that comes from the main road. The people around in the neighborhood are very friendly, and we always tend to celebrate all the festivals together, which gives me a feeling of being loved and always protected.
