There is a garden called Company Garden in Priyankraj, that is my hometown. That garden is a huge one which is well maintained by the government but at the same time carries a historical importance in the country. Chandrashekhar Azad, who was one of the freedom fighters of the country, had sacrificed his life in that garden. There is a memorial in his name, there is a statue for the same and it creates a great historical impact on the country. It also brings a historical value to the city as well. Besides historical importance, it is just beautiful to roam around in the garden, there is a huge walking track, there is a commendable jogging track as well. There is an open air gym, there is a museum. I think you can spend the entire day in the garden without getting bored. There is something to do for everyone there, be it a senior citizen, be it a child, be it a youngster, you will see all kind of people doing different activities. People start visiting the place from early in the morning till 6 or 7 in the evening, and after that the place closes because it is a huge place and safety becomes a concern because it cannot be regulated after it is dark. There is a huge sports complex as well within the garden, you will see a lot of young people training themselves for cricket, tennis, badminton. Plenty of adults are walking around early in the morning, even in the evening. There are athletes training themselves in the jogging track. I just love visiting there with my parents.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

One of my favorite places to visit in my hometown is Tashi Chezong, located in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. It is a large and beautiful fortress that serves as both a religious and administrative center. The zone stands out from other places because of its impressive architecture, rich history, and sense of peace it offers. What makes Tashi Chezong unique is its blend of tradition and modernity. It is not only the office of the king and the government, but also a spiritual place with beautiful temples and courtyards. The structure is built in a classic Bhutanese style, with intricate woodwork and whitewashed walls, which makes it visually stunning. Whenever I visit my parents or friends, we usually explore vast courtyards, admire the artwork, and sometimes attend religious festivals like Thimphu Tsechu. My favorite historical monument is Mahabharata Palace. It is located about 50 kilometers away from Trivandrum city in the backdrop of lush hills, misty valleys and verdant landscape. I visited this place in the year 2021 while I was studying MSW in Loyola College. I visited this place along with my friends at Naganensuli even though it's been nearly four years. I feel like it was just yesterday. The palace is constructed in a traditional Kerala architectural style with sloping roofs and clay tiles placed on wooden rafters with a grand and splendid facade. The walls are constructed with a lateral stone which keeps the palace cool even when the weather is torrid and sweltering outside. The ceilings are made of wood and decorated with intricate carvings. The flooring is either made of wood in some places or with a polished red oxide in the other. We reached the palace by 9 a.m and there was a guide to take us inside. First we were taken to the royal kitchen which showcased many receptacles and crockery. Next we were taken to the bedroom of kings and queens which had many statues and figurines placed at a strategic location. The highlight of the museum was a three kilometer long tunnel which connected the palace to the nearby temple. One part of the palace was covered with the museum which had several sections like jewelry, artifacts, armory and paintings. I really enjoyed the visit for an array of reasons. Firstly it gives me a good idea about how ancestors lived, the quality of their life and the equipments that they used.

The place that I am most fond of, that I often like to visit with my family and close friends is the beach in my town, which is located towards the south-east corner of the city. Whenever I get free time, this is what I like to do in my free time and I mostly gravitate towards activities on the beach because it's a very pristine and a clear beach with white sand and turquoise water. I mostly go there once a month, even though I am busy with my work, I still like to take my time out to visit this place because it's amongst one of my favourite places. There are many activities which we can do on this beach, like surfing or just chilling on the beach, reading a book in the sunlight. The air on the beach is really clean and the seafood over there is very amazing. You will be fascinated by how good it tastes and how clean the beach is. Despite of it being in the middle of the city, it still has maintained its cleanliness over the years and it's surrounded by palm trees and coconut trees all throughout the periphery of the beach, which gives it an edge over other beaches in the city, which might not be as popular, considering this is quite popular, so it's very crowded most of the time, so you need to pick and choose your time according to that and at night they usually have a fire show, which is quite great because it's a visual treat for everyone who's interested in doing such kind of activities.
