When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

It was a time of about 2 months ago when me and my cousins decided to have a trip. We went to Chandratal in a 7 SUV seater. We were about 7 including the driver. We were quite comfortable in the ride but as it is above the hills, it was a very hilly area and I almost got nausea around the curves of the hills. When we entered Chandratal, it was all about the beauty of Himalayas and their mountains. When I clicked that photo, it was always reminded me how we got there because it was not easy to get there as it is a 60 km track which is almost off-roading and our car was not that much suitable. Some of my cousins vomited there so it decided all the trip that we had on that journey and it was great to enjoy with my cousins. We spent about 20,000 there so it reminds me of financially too. In that photo, there were 2 mountains including me and it depicts me of the beauty which God has created in the form of mountains.

I recently went on a trip to Japan with my parents and we asked a stranger to take a family photo for us in front of one of the shrines in Kyoto. I especially love the picture and I enjoy looking at it because I look at my father and he has a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction because he got his entire family from India to an exquisite country like Japan. My mother looks so cheerful and she is excited to see what the day holds for us. I on the other hand look as happy as I ever was with no care and with no worry in the world. The shrine was in a very beautiful place in Kyoto and the scenery, the background, everything is very exquisite.

So, there's a photo of mine when I was a toddler, sitting with both my paternal and maternal grandparents. That's the most favourite photo of mine. I always look out at that, I don't know, there's a lot of memories over that photo. My moments with my paternal grandparents, actually I've lost them this year itself, so that's quite a big loss right now for me. I think that is the picture that I love watching or just looking at. Somewhere, it helps me to self-introspect, I just sit alone, I just think about the values they have inculcated upon me, all those strengths, the confidence and everything. There's only a sense of gratification that comes into me when I look at that picture of mine with them. And also, it's quite an emotional thing as well. I can say that when they left me, they have, you know, there's a vacuum in me that I don't think anyone could fill it up. I was very close to them, especially, you know, whenever the summer vacations come up. See, I've been living far away from my hometown, my hometown is in Kerala, but I've been living in Delhi since last, I think around 20 or 25 years. But every summer vacation time, that is during May and June, I always visit Kerala, I make sure that I stay with my grandparents, the food that they give, the values that they give, the activities that we do together, especially my paternal grandfather, he had a big acres of land, he used to do farming over there, cultivation, harvesting, re-knowing and all other various methods of farming.

I have plenty of photographs which I will capture with my family and friends. But if I have to talk about a particular photograph which I enjoy looking at as well as love to look at is the picture with my principal sir. This picture was taken on 14th May in the auditorium of my school room because I was able to score over 93% in my board examination. So the principal attended me to school for saying congratulations to me and to give blessings to me. In this picture, I was standing with my principal in front capturing the trophy in my hand while all of my classmates were standing behind me alongside with my teachers which taught me different subjects. This photo was very important to me as it provided deeper enjoyment to me because in this picture I was offered great admiration from my fellow classmates and my teachers and they respected me. Before this, I was very stressed about my marks in the board examination but however I was able to score good marks and this picture became one of the most unfortunate part of my life.
