  • Provide some context about why you chose this destination, such as its significance or your expectations.

Example

I was supposed to travel to Manali, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh, known for its stunning landscapes and pleasant weather. I had been looking forward to this trip for months, as it was my first vacation after a long time.

Cue 2:With whom were you going?

  • Mention the people you were traveling with, highlighting your relationship with them.
  • Share a brief insight into why this group was significant for this journey.

Example

I was going with my college friends, who I hadn't seen in years. We had planned this trip as a reunion to relive our college days and create new memories together.

Cue 3:What went wrong?

  • Describe the specific issues that arose during the journey, ensuring to convey your feelings about the situation.
  • Explain how these problems affected your plans and the overall experience.

Example

Unfortunately, our bus broke down halfway through the journey due to engine failure. We were stranded for hours in the middle of nowhere, and by the time we got a replacement bus, it was too late to reach Manali before nightfall. This unexpected delay turned our excitement into frustration.

Conclusion

  • Summarize the overall impact of the journey on you and your friends.
  • Reflect on any lessons learned or how you adapted to the situation.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A journey that didn't go as planned is one of my trips, a little trip to Araku, which is about 100 kilometers from my hometown, Vishakhapatnam. It's a short trip that we planned for two days span, but it didn't go as planned because the main problem was the public transportation. We thought it would be easy to get a transport in the, it's a hilly area. It's most of all hills and valleys, which are very deep and waterfalls and different kinds of animals that are situated like all around the mountain. But the main problem we got was the transportation. The transportation was very expensive than we have planned. Most of our money went flying around the transportation itself. It's very costly from like moving from one place to another place. The main thing that we regret is by not going in our own transport and letting, and we thought that it would be okay going in the public transport, but it didn't go as planned. The main problem was the stays. They were so costly. The food was so costly and everything was costly because that was the season and this place will be opened only during the four months, only during the winter season. That means from the November, from starting of the November to end of the January. And we've chosen Sunday, which is the hectic and most working days in that place. We couldn't at least get a, we couldn't really see the places around us. We just need to pay the money to the transportation and we, and he gives us 20 to 30 minutes span of time and he's like, we're waiting. So come back. If you make it late, you, when you come back, it's going to be double the price. So we had to haggle up and it's hassling us and we didn't get to see the view around.

When I was in 10th standard, our school organized a school tour to Vandrala. Actually, me and my friend were so excited to go to Vandrala. We reached Vandrala at 8.30 am. In the morning, it was okay and we enjoyed a lot. We got into so many rides. After that, when we went to the swimming area, when my dress got wet, I just wanted to change my dress. I went to the dressing room. The floor was a little slippery. When I went to the dressing room, I just fell down. My hand was broken. At that time, I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to disturb the others. I just controlled my pain so that I couldn't go to any other rides. I wasn't able to enjoy with my friends. It was such a heavy pain for me. After two hours, I just literally couldn't control my pain. When I informed the teacher, they admitted me to a nearby hospital. All other students also came with me.

It was the summer of 2024. I along with my friends were travelling from Chandigarh to Shimla. We had planned this journey approximately 3 months ago and we were very excited about it. As we began our journey from Chandigarh, we just got notifications on our phone that there was a landslide which has happened on the national highway which connected Chandigarh with Shimla. And we were just in 5 minutes of our journey and that actually shattered our dreams as we had planned this journey after an ample amount of efforts, an ample amount of booking, putting money in the bookings of hotels, our activities in Shimla. But we were so sad that it happened but it was actually not very safe to travel so we were thinking of dropping the plan. Before that, we started enquiring about the landslide which actually happened just to confirm it. But as we were calling our friends and our hotels in Shimla, we got another notification from very renowned and reliable news agency that confirmed the news of landslide. And then for our own safety, in consultation with our family and our parents, we decided to drop this journey and plan it the next time when it is safe for everyone to travel.

Well, journeys are very important in every person's life, but there are some journeys which are not planned by anyone else. Today I want to describe a journey which is a very important time to my heart. This journey started with my friend. He is my friend from my first class. We are the best friends from my school, but we got separated in my 12th class because my friend go to Canada for their further studies and I stay here for my studies. I get enrollment in university and he study in the University of UK, Cambridge. He suddenly call me and ask that he is coming in India and he want to go to Amritsar. I was not a plan about him that he is coming and make the plan of journey. He suddenly ask, he suddenly get my ticket and force me to go to Canada, force me go to Amritsar. After that, I pack my bag suddenly and go with them. We start our journey in government bus because he want to live an adventure life in India. We start our journey from Karnal, we start, the bus arrive at 10 am and after some time there is a so much traffic on the road, we stuck on it and our 4-5 hours were gone. We don't know, we bored and we don't accept that this journey is like that.

Here I am, it's my one of the trip which is I like to share the experience with you is an trip from Sydney to India. It is my one of the solo trip which I had done last two years back and during starting time I was very confused and also very feeling hesitated to do anything because it's a solo but after when the trip started I explore thing more and more so I get comfortable and because of this it's one of my best trip. I don't think it is best but it become best by just like I spend time.

Recently I had visited Kolkata, you know I had a lot of anticipation on what I will explore or discover in that city and I had come there with my sister, we had like planned for going there for like a year or more than that but I didn't think that it was quite to my expectation. I thought it was quite similar city to Delhi, you know it has historic places and many more things to explore but I don't like the place because the city smells of urine and that really sets me off. We initially had planned to stay there for 2-3 days but we actually don't find any place to explore or any points to explore other than 1-2 sites, so we had to cut off that journey and then return home.

Band 6-7

I would like to share something. I had visited Kuala Lumpur last week. I had my exam of a package. It's basically a mathematical exam that I had to give and I was staying there in a hotel in the outskirts of the city. So when I was going to the exam, I had flown to Malaysia two weeks ago and I was preparing over there for my exam. Then when the exam day came, I was traveling to the venue. I was travelling to the venue by a train and as soon as I collected my things and started to move towards the train station, I completely got blank and I got lost on the train station. It was a very strange thing for me as well. I really had so much pressure back from my home and so much expectation that I needed to be completed. It was a very weird phase for me. In addition to that, it was just my confidence which helped me to get to the right place and the right venue where I had to be. Furthermore, even when I reached over there, it was very difficult for me to calm myself down and get things done quickly. I had to prep my mind in a way that I don't think about the other things and just focus on what I have to do right now. My passion and my motivation towards giving the exam helped me surpass all these difficulties.

Band 6-7

I would like to talk about the most recent trip I had which was in the hill station located in Mahabaleshwar. So I was travelling with my family and things were going pretty nice until the weather which went terribly awkward. It was not a nice experience because the weather spoiled the mood and there was a huge amount of rainfall as well as sand storms in the area when we reached midway. Apart from this, the alerts were issued by the government to stay indoors, which is why we had to cancel the trip and return to our home unsatisfied. For this reason, I believe the trip was not very memorable and it didn't go as per our planning and expectations. So in my opinion, this was one of the trips I would never like to remember because I have been so excited about it and had been waiting for it to happen since around 2-3 months.
