- Established in 1915, the Xavier University of Louisiana is the only historically black Catholic University in the USA known for providing education to black students. It is a small university located in New Orleans, Louisiana and enrols more than 3300 students.
- Among these students, around 2,512 are undergraduates pursuing arts and science, 187 graduate students, and 608 pursue medicinal courses. This university has provided African American students with immense knowledge and is known for being the top producer of African American pharmacists.
- In addition, international students from around 16 countries are accepted into this university. However, it is a private university that offers full-time and part-time courses and online courses. The university offers more than 50 programs for students in public health, pharmacy, counselling, educational leadership, health communications, theology, arts, and science.

What are the requirements for participation?
Students are accepted to Xavier University based on their academic abilities and knowledge. To apply for UG and PG programmes, international students must have completed Grade 12. At the end of the semester, students should achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
The following are the curriculum requirements:
- Science is required for three years.
- Mathematics for three years
- English for four years
- Social Sciences for three years
- With the exception of English, two years of language study are required.
The university's minimum entry criteria are as follows:
