Admission Process

How to Apply to the University of Western Ontario (UIW)


Step 1: Fill out an application and send it in.

Make an account on Go UIW and submit your application. You can also use the Common App or Apply Texas to apply.

Step 2: Send in your transcripts from high school.

Transcripts can be forwarded to admissiondocs@uiwtx.edu in PDF format.

Step 3: Send in your SAT/ACT scores (optional).

The submission of standardized test results is optional this year. If you're submitting test results, you'll need an official report from the testing centre. By entering our code when registering for the exam, you can request that your score be communicated to UIW. (The SAT number is 6303, and the ACT code is 4106.)

Step 4: Submit any additional documentation required for your application (if applicable).

  • Scores on the G.E.D. (if applicable). An official score report must be provided if you have earned the General Equivalency Diploma.
  • Score on an AP/Achievement or CLEP exam (if taken)
  • Transcripts with dual credit (if taken)

Step 5: Fill out and submit your FAFSA.

To be eligible for state, federal, and university grants, you must apply for financial aid by October 1 of each year.
