Texas Tech University is a public research university located in Texas, United States. The university was founded in 1923 as Texas Technological College, before changing to its current name in 1969. The university is part of the Texas Tech University System and has established itself as a high research output institution.
The university comprises 13 colleges that offer over 150 courses in graduate, undergraduate and doctoral programs. The top courses at Texas Tech University include MS in Civil Engineering, Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) and MS in Mechanical Engineering. The University's main campus is located in Lubbock, Texas.
It is home to the graduate school, law school and medical schools programs, making it only the second campus in the state of Texas to do so. The campus is also renowned for its historical architecture and campus grounds, for which it has won many awards in recent years.
