Academic Requirements for Undergraduates

To be eligible for undergraduate programmes, international undergraduates must show documentation of completing a minimum of 12 years of elementary and secondary school study.

To apply for these programmes, you must have a least 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. If they come from a country of problem, only students from accredited/recognized universities and colleges are accepted.

Students who have finished a recognised undergraduate degree with a GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale for at least 24 credit hours of study are not required to take the English proficiency test. Their language of instruction, however, should be English.

Academic Requirements for Graduate Students

International grads must show proof of a bachelor's degree that shows they completed 12 years of high school and 3 years of professional courses. For a few courses, a GRE or GMAT score may be required.

Admission Process

All overseas applicants must apply using the CMU application online, while undergraduates can apply through one of the two options:

Both overseas graduates and undergraduates go through the same application process through the university's webpage. Aspirants should follow the processes below to submit their applications:

Step 1: International applicants should go to fireup.cmich.edu/account/register to access the CMU application portal. New users must first create an account, while existing users can continue the application process by logging in.

Step 2: To finish the registration procedure, you must enter a temporary PIN. Following that, students can create a password and begin the application process.

Step 3: Students can now select 'Start New Application' from the drop-down menu. Students must then select the necessary options and click the 'Create Application' button.

Step 4: Students must provide the following information on their application forms. Finally, they can evaluate their application and submit it together with the necessary documents if they are happy.
