Some days left before the month closes out one of the most active scholarship windows of the year. The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt, Fulbright-Nehru, and Rhodes all have strict deadlines in July.

Here are 5 scholarships confirmed open right now, with everything you need to apply.

1. Pernod Ricard Scholarship: One Young World Summit, Cape Town

Deadline: July 14, 2026 | Fully Funded | 10 scholars globally

One Young World and Pernod Ricard are selecting 10 young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town from November 3 to 6, 2026. This is a leadership fellowship, not a degree scholarship.

What it covers:

  • Economy-class return flights to Cape Town.
  • Hotel accommodation November 2 to 6, 2026.
  • All meals, catering, and local transport during the summit.
  • Post-summit mentorship and collective sessions with Pernod Ricard professionals throughout 2027.

You can apply if:

  • You are of legal drinking age in your country of residence.
  • You are actively working on responsible drinking, social inclusion, community well-being, or harm prevention.
  • You can commit to post-summit sessions from September 2026 to late 2027.
  • Indian students are eligible.

Selection looks for active, ongoing impact; show what you have already built, not what you plan to build.

2. DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Scholarship: Germany

Deadline: July 31, 2026 | Fully Funded | India is eligible

The Master's Scholarship for Public Policy and Good Governance, jointly administered by DAAD and the German Federal Foreign Office. 

Application period: June 1 to July 31, 2026. India is explicitly listed among eligible countries.

What it covers:

  • Full tuition fees at the host German university.
  • Monthly stipend of EUR 992 (approximately Rs. 1,06,144/month).
  • Mandatory 4-month German language preparatory course, fully funded.
  • Health insurance, travel allowances, and rent subsidies where applicable.

Eligible programs:

  • Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg: MSc Social Protection.
  • University of Duisburg-Essen: MA Development and Governance.
  • Willy Brandt School, Erfurt: MA Public Policy.
  • Universitat Magdeburg: MA Peace and Conflict Studies.
  • Hochschule Osnabruck: MA Management in Non-Profit Organizations.
  • Universität Passau: MA in Development Studies / MA in Governance and Public Policy.

You can apply if:

  • You hold a bachelor's in social sciences, law, economics, public policy, or administration issued after January 1, 2020.
  • You have practical experience: professional work, internships, or civic engagement.
  • You have not lived outside DAC-listed developing countries for more than 15 months.

How to apply: 

  • Submit directly to the university, not DAAD. You can apply for a maximum of 2 programs, and you only need to submit one motivation letter for both.
  • Indian applicants must also submit an APS certificate (Academic Evaluation Centre). Apply for it early; processing takes 4–6 weeks minimum.

3. Rhodes Scholarship: Oxford, UK

Deadline: July 23, 2026 | Fully Funded

The world's oldest international scholarship, established in 1902. Acceptance rate: under 1%. Approximately 5 Indian scholars are selected annually from over 300 applicants.

What it covers:

  • Full tuition fees at Oxford.
  • Annual living stipend of approximately GBP 19,800 (Rs. 24,65,100/year).
  • Return airfare and settling-in allowance.

  • You hold Indian citizenship and an Indian passport.
  • You are 18 to 23 years old, with exceptions up to 27.
  • You hold a first-class undergraduate degree with demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, character, and service.

4. KOICA Scholarship: South Korea

Deadline: July 11, 2026 | Fully Funded | 2027 cycle open

The Korea International Cooperation Agency funds a master's or PhD degree at partner South Korean universities, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and KDI School of Public Policy. India is a partner country.

What it covers:

  • Full tuition fees and on-campus housing.
  • Monthly living allowance of approximately USD 750 (approximately Rs. 71,370/month).
  • Return economy airfare and national health insurance.
  • Settlement allowance of USD 1,500 (approximately Rs. 1,42,740) on arrival.
  • Completion grant of USD 750 (approximately Rs. 71,370).

You can apply if:

  • You are an Indian citizen with at least 2 years of professional experience for a master's and 3 years for a PhD.
  • You have a background in public policy, governance, development, or education.
  • You have not previously received a Korean government scholarship.

5. Charpak Lab Scholarship: France

Deadline: July 2026 (2026-27 cycle) | Partially Funded

The French Embassy in India's flagship research scholarship, specifically for Indian students. July is the application window for the 2026-27 cycle.

What it covers:

  • EUR 840/month living allowance (approximately Rs. 89,880/month).
  • French student visa fee waiver.
  • Placement in a French university lab or research institute for 2 to 6 months.

  • You are enrolled at an Indian institution, in your 3rd year or later, or pursuing a master's degree.
  • Your research area matches a willing French lab supervisor.
