  • Columbia College has its location in the beautiful city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. The college was established in 1936 as a private university-transfer college. The university has an acceptance rate of 90% and a student-faculty ratio of 6:1. 
  • The University Transfer Program, Associate Degree Program, High School Program and Academic ESC are some of the programs offered by the College. The Associate Degree programs are equivalent to I and II years of a 4-year undergraduate course. With over 396 international students from over 40 countries enrolled, UNBC has a significant and active international student population. Admission will be considered for students who have completed their studies at a suitable high school and/or a recognised post-secondary institution.

Admission Process

The University admits students in 3 intakes in September, January, and May. Candidates need to fill out an online form to enrol in their desired courses and pay a fee of 125 USD and 153 USD for UG and PG applicants, respectively.

Accommodation

The College has two residential buildings, which are only a 5-minute walk from the campus's heart and have a total housing capacity of over 500 people. Fully furnished apartment suites include a kitchen, living room, private bedrooms with a bed and table, and shared bathrooms. Wi-Fi, laundry facilities on each floor, common areas and study halls are available in each building.

Students are assigned Resident Assistants, who provide social and educational resources to students who live on campus. Students must pay a non-refundable Housing Application Fee of $25.50 to complete their application.

Each suite includes:

  1. Private bedrooms (equipped with bed and desk),
  2. Full kitchen,
  3. Large living room,
  4. Shared bathroom.

Each Building includes:

  1. Wi-Fi,
  2. Full laundry facilities on each floor,
  3. Large common area for events, socials, study halls, and games.

The UNBC Student Career Center(SCC)  organizes co-operative work term placements and posts part-time and full-time jobs for students, career-building workshops and employer recruiting sessions.
