Ryerson University, frequently referred to as RyeU or RU, is a public research university established in 1948 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ryerson offers seven academic faculties and has various degrees for undergraduate and specialized minor programs. The most popular majors students opt for at RU are Computer Science, Social Sciences & Public Health,
Arts & Humanities, Business & Economics, Psychology, and Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
The Central Campus of the University is located within the Garden District of Toronto and operates two more campuses across the city: Centennial College and George Brown College. At Ryerson, over 130 part-time, full-time, professional development, and online programs are offered, and it also provides distance education in more than 400 continuing education courses, including 300+ degree credit programs.
The ideal student-faculty ratio at Ryerson is 23:1, which helps students seek various career opportunities and boosts their confidence, morale, and skill-set.
The university offers several opportunities like the Work-Study Program, Jobs-On Campus, Summer and Fall/Winter Career Boost Approval, Internships on a paid basis, and Jobs-Off Campus after completing their degrees. Ryerson University has three residence buildings on campus: HOEM Residence, Pitman Hall, and the International Living & Learning Centre. Students can also stay off-campus and visit Ryerson Housing and Residences to find their ideal residence.
