The University of Fraser Valley, Canada was established in 1974 and was granted the university status in 2008. The university has six campuses, one of which is in Chandigarh, India, with its headquarters in the Abbotsford campus. Chilliwack campus, Mission, Hope, and Agassiz are home to the rest.

Every year, the university enrols approximately 15,000 students, with about 14% of those being international students from 86 different countries. India, China, Vietnam, Japan, and the Republic of Korea are the top five countries from which students enrol.

Scholarship Opportunities at the University of Fraser Valley:

International students can apply for financial aid through scholarships at the University of Fraser Valley Canada. Every year, top international students of the University who achieve academically are awarded the following scholarships:

  • The top 5 international applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale will receive a $10,000 CAD International Entrance Excellence Scholarship.
  • The top 35 applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale are given a 5,000 CAD International Regional Entrance Scholarship.

Note: 

  • The deadline to apply for a scholarship is April 1 for the Fall semester and October 1 for the Winter semester.
  • In the recipient’s first semester of study at UFV, scholarships will be awarded as tuition credit.
  • Students can also apply for EduCanada and other external organisations’ scholarships to study in Canada.
  • International students with a valid study permit are permitted to work part-time on and off-campus.

How long will it take me to finish a course?

A certificate programme usually takes two full-time semesters (15 credits or more) to complete, whereas a diploma programme takes four. If my application for a study permit is denied, would UFV return my fees?
