For Indian students targeting the September 2026 intake, applications are being accepted now through Oxford International India.

Oxford International Education Group is a separate organization from the University of Oxford. The three universities in this announcement are independent UK institutions with their own degree-awarding authority, not affiliated with the University of Oxford in any way.

Lincoln Bishop University (LBU): Lincoln, England

On September 1, 2025, Bishop Grosseteste University changed its name to Lincoln Bishop University. The name on the CAS will remain as Bishop Grosseteste University until UKVI processing concludes. When Lincoln Bishop issues your CAS for September 2026, the official name may still appear as Bishop Grosseteste University on UKVI documentation. This is normal, and your visa will be valid.

Lincoln Bishop University is a public university established in 1862, located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, with approximately 2,360 students. It is affiliated with the Cathedrals Group of UK universities. Lincoln is a historic cathedral city in the East Midlands, significantly more affordable than London. Accommodation typically runs GBP 80 to GBP 150/week (approximately Rs. 10,307 to Rs. 19,326/week).

The University of Winchester has a 185-year history of academic excellence. It is ranked top 15 in England for graduates in employment and further study (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2025, HESA) and top 25 for student community experience (National Student Survey 2022).

A note on rankings: The University of Winchester, Health Sciences University, and Lincoln Bishop University do not appear in the QS World University Rankings 2027. Indian students who specifically require a QS-ranked institution should factor this information into their shortlisting. The Winchester graduate employment ranking (top 15 in England) is the more relevant metric for students focused on UK career outcomes.

Winchester city is compact, safe, and approximately 1 hour from London by direct train. Accommodation costs run GBP 120 to GBP 200/week (approximately ₹15,597 to ₹25,994/week)

Post-Study Work

All three universities hold a UKVI-registered degree-awarding authority. Graduates qualify for the UK Graduate Route post-study work visa.

Important clarification for September 2026 starters: Students beginning a master's in September 2026 will graduate in September 2027. They will apply for the Graduate Route AFTER January 1, 2027, and will therefore receive 18 months of post-study work rights. The 2-year Graduate Route applies only to students who can submit their application before December 31, 2026; this option is not possible for September 2026 starters who graduate in 2027.
