One skill I learned that really helped my personal development is time management. A few years ago I realized I was constantly missing deadlines and feeling overwhelmed with tasks, especially during my studies that when I decided to take it seriously, I started my watching video and reading articles on how to organize my day better. I also began using apps like Google, Glendar, and ToDo listed on Plan My Schedule. It wasn't easy at first, but after a few weeks of sticking to it, I noticed a big change. I learned this skill during my second year at university, and it made a huge difference in how I handle work and stress. I became more productive and I had more time to relax or focus on other goals like learning language or exercising. This skill has really improved my confidence and discipline, which I think are essential for personal growth, and I still use these habits today, and they continue to benefit me in many areas of life.

My friends and family were very supportive. They noticed I was less stressed and more organized. Some of them even asked me for tips on time management, which made me feel proud of my progress and motivated to continue improving.

I have made many resolutions every year. So this recent New Year, I have made a resolution which was a bit conflicting topic. It was to socialize every day. So basically from my age, I was confined inside a room which I won't meet anybody. So I just wanted to come out of the box and meet new people and make friends. So as a New Year resolution, I promised myself to meet people, talk to them, interact with them, come out of the box and confront them with confidence. Which absolutely didn't work at all. I was very insecure. I wasn't confident at all. Basically, it was such a traumatic event for me. Even though the resolution had a good aim, it came out to be miserable for me. I wasn't able to focus on myself. Rather, I stick and think more about their emotions. Which was my problem. So what did they think of me? How do they judge me? Will they judge me? These all questions just rambled inside my head. And the revolution became an utter flop. In fact, a disaster. So I won't be taking these kinds of resolutions in the future. I hope so.

Follow up questions

What strategies do you think could help you socialize better in the future?
I believe setting smaller, achievable goals could help. For instance, starting with one new person a week might reduce the pressure. Additionally, joining clubs or groups with shared interests could provide a more comfortable environment for interaction.

How do you feel about making resolutions now after your experience?
I'm quite hesitant about making resolutions now. I think I might focus on personal growth instead, like building self-confidence or practicing social skills gradually, rather than setting a broad resolution that feels overwhelming.

Can you share a positive experience related to socializing in the past?
Yes, I remember a time when I attended a friend's gathering. I felt nervous initially, but once I started talking to a few familiar faces, it turned out to be enjoyable. That experience taught me that socializing can be rewarding when approached in a relaxed manner.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I was becoming fat from my stomach, thighs and everywhere. So I decided that I will focus on my fitness, on my physical fitness. But most importantly I am doing this for myself to make myself happy. To live life how a normal person should be. I plan on doing this by increasing my calories to a massive surplus. And keeping track of my calories in putting all the foods that I am eating in a day. And yup that's how exactly I will gain the weight. Additionally I also plan on doing vigorous exercise in the gym.
