A routine that I really enjoy is my skincare routine. I do this right before I go to bed. It has taken me some time to perfect it and to actually follow this routine daily without fail. It is a simple routine. It mostly consists of me just washing my face with a face wash, applying moisturizer and then applying an azelaic acid. It's a cream based pharmaceutical product that helps with acne scars and marks. It sounds like a very simple three step routine but it has taken me a lot of willpower to maintain the consistency over time. A large part of it is due to the fact that my self esteem was destroyed when I started having really bad acne. I was not somebody who used to suffer from acne but due to recent life changes and unavoidable stress issues, my acne started flaring quite a bit. I did check the issue with a dermatologist but it didn't yield a significant change despite me following her prescribed procedure ardently. So I reverted to this simple routine that was suggested to me by one of my friends. Initially I did not expect it to work but soon I started noticing a change. I noticed that the more I stayed consistent, the more impact I got.

Follow up questions

What motivated you to start a skincare routine?
I was motivated to start a skincare routine because my self-esteem took a hit due to my acne. I wanted to regain my confidence and felt that taking care of my skin would help me feel better about myself.

How do you feel after maintaining your skincare routine?
After maintaining my skincare routine, I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. It's rewarding to see the positive changes in my skin, and it has significantly boosted my self-esteem and overall mood.

Have you tried any other skincare products or routines?
Yes, I have tried other skincare products and routines, including those recommended by my dermatologist. However, I found that this simple routine worked best for me, especially after struggling with more complex treatments that didn't yield results.

My daily routine usually is very different, but something, even if it is different, that's something that I always include in my routine is skin care. Growing up, I had a very clear skin, but when I joined my college, my skin started to break out a lot and that really made me unconfident. I got various treatments for it, but nothing really worked out. I used to take a lot of skin gummies and hair gummies. I used to apply a lot of ointments, but nothing really worked out. Moreover, my skin started to look worse. When I turned 21, during the final semester of my college, I tried this one ointment that's called Cretinoin and that's when I realized that my skin started to get better because I was following the proper skin care routine. I made sure that I do my skin care in my everyday routine. I really enjoy doing it because now when I see my skin progressing a lot, it has been much better ever since I've been doing skin care regularly. I usually do it in my room because all of my skin care products are in my room. Sometimes, I take help from my mom to apply the skin packs and stuff. Sometimes, my mom also joins with me for skin care. Otherwise, I have two different routines. I do it in the morning and in the night. My routine in the morning is a bit different than the night. It's just the addition and subtraction of the quantity of products. It's the skin care that I really enjoy the most.

Follow up questions

What specific products do you use in your skincare routine?
I use a variety of products including cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers. In the morning, I focus on lighter products to protect my skin from the sun, while at night, I use more intensive treatments like retinol and hydrating masks to repair my skin.

How has your skincare routine impacted your confidence?
My skincare routine has significantly boosted my confidence. Seeing my skin improve over time has made me feel more comfortable in my own skin. I no longer feel the need to hide behind makeup, and I can go out with a fresh face, which is a great feeling.

Do you think skincare routines are important for everyone?
Yes, I believe skincare routines are important for everyone. Taking care of your skin can prevent issues and promote overall skin health. It can also be a form of self-care, helping people feel good about themselves and their appearance.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

My daily routine starts like as soon as I get out of my bed I make sure I have one glass of hot water that actually helps clean my gut and later the very important thing that actually I enjoy a lot doing it from my daily routine is meditation for that one hour and I do it all alone but sometimes when my parents are not that busy they accompany me with doing this routine so I take one hour out of my day for meditation and I think it actually unwinds me and transports me to another world that I never imagined so we live in a society where there's so much chaos so much drama happening throughout the day we overburden ourselves and it's very important for a person to meditate to sit in a relaxed position and just be out of this world with no thoughts no worries and just dream about something you are in so for example I dream myself as if I'm sitting in a garden and there's no one surrounded by myself and at days I also feel like I'm sitting at a corner of a river and just listening to the voice of river and it just makes me so relaxed and calm and it actually rejuvenates me for the whole day it gets me ready and actually energizes me for the day that is upcoming and I love that one hour of my day

Follow up questions

How did you start incorporating meditation into your daily routine?
I started incorporating meditation into my routine a few years ago after reading about its benefits. Initially, I found it challenging to focus, but with practice, I learned to appreciate the calmness it brings. Now, it's an essential part of my day that I look forward to.

What other activities do you enjoy in your daily routine?
Besides meditation, I enjoy reading books and going for a walk in the evening. Reading helps me unwind and learn new things, while walking allows me to connect with nature and clear my mind. Both activities complement my meditation practice and enhance my overall well-being.

How do you feel when you miss your meditation session?
When I miss my meditation session, I often feel more stressed and less focused throughout the day. It’s as if I’ve skipped a vital part of my routine. I try to make up for it later, but nothing compares to starting the day with that peaceful hour of meditation.

A daily routine that I enjoy is the yoga. Yoga has been really beneficial for me as it not only removed the fear of missing out the world but it also enhanced my abilities and increased my bodily flexibility. Along with yoga I perform pranayama. Pranayama is basically breathing technique whereby you learn to manage your breathing and this breathing in return affects your mental well-being and physical strength. Surely I do yoga and pranayama every day and when I wake up early in the morning after brushing my teeth I simply sit down in my lobby area and I have my yoga mat with me which I use for these postures, yogic postures and pranayama. Usually I do it all alone but sometimes I encourage my mother to participate in the yoga practice and she sometimes keeps up with me and yeah it is like that only but I make it a point to do it regularly for mental and physical well-being and it is really great.

Follow up questions

How did you first get into yoga?
I first got into yoga during a stressful period in my life. I was looking for ways to relax and improve my mental health. A friend recommended a yoga class, and I decided to give it a try. I found it incredibly helpful, and since then, I've made it a part of my daily routine.

What benefits have you noticed from practicing yoga regularly?
Practicing yoga regularly has significantly improved my flexibility and strength. Additionally, I've noticed a reduction in stress and anxiety levels. It helps me start my day with a clear mind and a positive attitude, which sets a good tone for the rest of my day.

Do you think yoga can be beneficial for everyone?
Yes, I believe yoga can be beneficial for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. It offers physical benefits like improved flexibility and strength, as well as mental benefits such as stress relief and better focus. It's all about finding the right style and pace that suits each individual.

Daily routines play a very crucial role in our overall personality development. I know it is really difficult to inculcate some special sort of routines into our daily lives. But recently I have introduced waking up early in the morning and go for morning walk. It has improved my overall health a lot. Apart from that I do it because unfortunately I don't have a great gut health. But by adopting this walking habit into my daily life I am able to improve my gut health. Now I am able to eat whatever I want and it is very well digested by my gut. I still remember earlier whenever I am out with my friends having something scrumptious to eat I always have to resist myself because of my gut health issues. But now I go out and enjoy with them and eat whatever I want. Either it be Chinese or Italian or some street style food. I really enjoyed it a lot and whenever I wake up in the morning I just had a hot cup of water and go for 30-40 minutes walk and boom my gut is completely clear. Moreover by inculcating this habit my skin is feeling very healthy and glowing. Earlier I used to have a lot of pimples on my face because of poor gut health. But now by inculcating this habit into my life I had achieved a glowing and beautiful skin. Apart from that a healthy body. So I will suggest everybody to have atleast one such healthy routine in their lives which will help them to be a better person and moreover increase their overall health a lot. It is a win-win situation because it doesn't have any negative impacts.

Follow up questions

What other routines do you think are important for health?
In addition to walking, I believe routines like regular exercise, balanced eating, and adequate sleep are crucial. They contribute significantly to physical and mental well-being. For instance, practicing yoga or meditation can enhance mental clarity and reduce stress, which is equally important.

How do you stay motivated to maintain your daily routine?
I stay motivated by setting small, achievable goals and tracking my progress. Celebrating little victories, like feeling more energetic or seeing improvements in my health, keeps me inspired. Also, having a supportive friend to join me on walks makes it more enjoyable and helps me stay committed.

Have you faced any challenges in maintaining your routine?
Yes, initially it was challenging to wake up early and stick to the routine, especially on weekends. However, I learned to prioritize my health and remind myself of the benefits. Planning my schedule and setting reminders helped me overcome those hurdles and stay consistent.

    Band 6-7

As a person who is determined and disciplined to have a bright and healthy future, I have a pretty simple and structured daily routine, which I enjoy the utmost. One of the fewest things I do in the morning is to wake up early at 5 am every single day, and I practice yoga, doing the Surya Namaskar for 108 times. It's been one of the healthiest ways to keep my body in check every single day. Doing the Surya Namaskar makes your blood levels at normal levels and give you all the energy you need to get on for the day. And I eat a delicious breakfast which includes nutrients, dry fruits, all the fruit, vegetables and the green leaves. I have this after doing my Surya Namaskar. Then I freshen up myself and wear the beautiful outfit for the day, giving it happiness to my eyes and to my heart that I get to live a peaceful and healthy life that I deserve. Also, my day continues to have a large schedule of outdoor meetings that's related to work, which I enjoy because I get to travel to different places, meeting a number of strangers regarding their ambitions and being a consultant, I always like to know the people about their lifestyle and it's interesting when I get to know one person is always different from others. My daily routine also includes having a calm, peaceful, serene view at the lake by the evening fire after which I get home and have a beautiful dinner with my family. That ends my day.

    Band 6-7

One daily routine that I genuinely cherish is my morning walk. It became an integral part of my day and I look forward to it immensely. Essentially, my routine involves a brisk walk through the local park. I typically set out around 6.30am. Just as the sun is beginning to peak over the horizon, the park is conveniently located near my apartment, which makes it easily accessible. I find that this specific time is perfect because the air is crisp and the park is relevantly tranquil.

    Band 6-7

So, I am the kind of person who would prefer slow mornings. I would like to wake up preferably early so I can enjoy the serene morning, this beautiful colourful sky. I would like to get up, just that usual routine of brushing, freshening up, then I would like some skincare. I relish going to the gym, working out, taking care of myself. When I come back, take a shower, gaze my plants. I love planting and watering them is something which is very therapeutic to me, I feel. And I really like nature. I would like to take a stroll at times when gym feels too much. Then I would prefer going to the kitchen, making some breakfast for me, preferably high in protein and fibres. Then I would like to go back to my desk, work. I really like to work on something which is high on creativity, which helps me feel aligned to my values. Then after getting free, sometimes I would like to have some fresh cup of tea, going on evening walks. And it helps me live life to the fullest actually, such routines really help you understand that in the fast-paced modern world, it's really important to live in the moment and not really just run behind goals which might at the end won't matter that much than the lost time. You could have spent with your parents and loved ones. And parents and loved ones and relationships are something which everyone should respect.

    Band 6-7

A daily routine that I am recently following and enjoying a lot is a skin care routine. Skin care routine is nothing but a routine that you follow on a regular basis. Initially, I knew nothing about it. I even didn't know that skin care regime is something that even existed. For the past one year, I have been taking the skin care very importantly. I have started to apply a sunscreen ritually. I didn't have much idea about this until I met my dermatologist. She suggested me and gave me a proper idea of how to use the products and when to use them. By taking her guidance and as per the prescribed items, I am following a skin care consistently. Every day, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, pat it dry and go with a serum. After 30 seconds, I layer it with a moisturizer. After 5 minutes, I top it up with a sunscreen. As advised by my dermat, I am supposed to be applying sunscreen every 4 hours in a day. And evening time, double cleansing is a must. After following this procedure for the past one year, I have seen visible changes on my skin. I am really happy with the results I am seeing and I promised myself that I will be continuing the same process as consistency is the key. You cannot expect results when you break the chain. What you invest is what you see. So I would highly recommend everybody should definitely follow a skin care routine in their daily life.

    Band 6-7

The one daily routine that I enjoy doing is going for walks with my pet. I prefer to go in the morning and in the evening. In current times when our lives are bounded by doors and ACs, there is not much of natural oxygen that we are able to get. So going out for a walk in the morning helps me to get in touch with the nature and also helps me to control my weight and maintain my physique. I get to spend very less time with my pet, so I think that time in the morning is a time for us to bond. I go with my pet for a walk for about 20 minutes and when we come back we have our breakfast and then probably my pet can sleep but I have to go out and work. So I enjoy doing this because we are so much tied up to the screens now that moving out for a walk is a pleasure that I have, I think, in my life. So it really helps me to untie myself from the burden that the walk has imposed. So it has really been a routine that I began to follow from this new year and it has helped me both physically and mentally and I hope I continue doing it in the days to come.

    Band 6-7

    Band 6-7

Since I am a corporate and sports guy, one of the routines that I enjoy daily is to hit gym on a daily basis. So I get up early in the morning by 7-7.30. Then I visit gym to have a good proper workout followed by my work mode. Eventually when I go gym, I have a gym partner where we do plenty of exercises that helps me to boost my confidence and get in shape which eventually develops my personality and my mindset. The dedication that I am fighting with my mind in order to get better day by day is the best time in a day. I really enjoy it because it helps me to be motivated and eat healthy and stay fit. Thank you.

    Band 6-7

So, a few years back, my daily schedule was messed up. It was like I was sleeping in at 6 a.m. in the morning, I was waking up at 4 p.m., then I used to just do time pass on my phone and I used to scroll reads and no productive work I used to do in the day in my daily routine. But currently, after receiving more diseases, basically I changed my daily routine to a morning person. I used to wake up early at around 7 or 8. After waking up, I used to get ready, shower up and go for a walk with my friend. Personally, I liked cycling, but we used to go cycling once in a week because my friend did not have a cycle, he used to borrow it from his brother. It was a good time and it basically helped me in recovering from many health problems like high cholesterol and high BP, which are the major effects of not following a good daily routine. I am having my dinner, lunch and breakfast, three meals a day at the proper time. That helps in further digestion.
