We live in an age where everyone is constantly looking for information and searching for data. I can remember a time when I was desperately searching for information because my undergraduate thesis was round the corner. I had to prepare an elaborate thesis which would be graded so that I could ultimately pass with flying colors and get awarded with my bachelor's degree. The topic of my thesis was related to the use of machine learning in the classification of brain tumors. Since I am a biotechnology undergraduate, it was quite important for me to provide a solid research into this topic with all its implications and insights. But for that, I needed a starting point because I had very little clue of how to proceed with this research. So I went to the bioinformatics lab in my department, asked for help with my teachers and ultimately went on the internet with a vague idea of what I am looking for. But as soon as I started to check the internet research repositories, I was amazed by the amount of information that was already present on this topic. That really helped me to build a good foundation for my project and I was then able to collate all the relevant pieces of data and combine them into a compelling research project for my thesis. You will be happy to know that I was awarded.

During my graduate studies, I was assigned to cross-site on a development of composite materials for aerospace structures to gather reliable and up-to-date information. I began by reviewing academic journals and conference papers on platforms like ScienceDirect and IEA, explored some websites. I also accessed databases through my university library to find pre-reviewed articles. Since my topic was specialized, I contacted a faculty member working in material science to get insights and recommendations on key sources. I organized my findings using a reference manager and created a literature review to summarize advancements in composite manufacturing techniques like properties and real-world applications. This structured research helped me develop my strong foundation for the project and a later contribution to a well-received presentation.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

Being an engineer myself, searching, looking for facts, figures, information, documentation is a day-to-day task and it's very well needed in order to accomplish any of my works. Whether it may be coding or learning, so searching information is a part of it. So I believe without a proper exploration, whether it may be data, it may be a textical information or it may be any kind of multi-modal data, search is what is very important and necessity of my work. While saying that, a search is not restricted to learning, search is also a part of when I'm travelling to some other place, searching nearby tourist attractions, searching hotels nearby or lodges. So the search is very diverse in itself, right from the work to tourism to even there's the other chances to connect to people, to connect to people of your interest, your background. Search is what is needed. So there are never-ending examples for it and talking on the same, let's say if I want to travel to some other location from Bangalore, I need to search the immediate bus or the route to take or which mode of transport would be better.
