A: Four things, mainly. First, free counselling: a profile evaluation, university shortlisting, and application support through to your offer letter. Second, test preparation for IELTS, PTE, DET, DMAT, and SAT, sold separately from counselling. Third, LeapFinance, our education-financing arm, for students who need a collateral-free loan. Fourth, the parts that sit around all of this: SOP and LOR guidance, scholarship matching, visa and pre-departure support, and free tools like the University Shortlist and our academic calculators. Not every student uses all four; most start with counselling and add test prep or financing as they need it.

A: We counsel for 20 countries in total, including USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Italy, Singapore, and UAE. If your target country isn't on this list, ask a counsellor directly rather than assuming coverage shifts as we expand.
Q: Who should use LeapScholar?
A: Anyone planning an undergraduate or postgraduate degree abroad who wants counselling, test prep, and financing all in one place rather than juggling separate providers. We're a particularly strong fit if you want a free second opinion on your university shortlist, even if you're applying independently; if you need IELTS/PTE prep alongside counselling rather than as a separate purchase; or if you need help navigating an education loan without collateral. If you already have a trusted consultant and don't need test prep or financing help, you may not need us for everything, and that's fine; you can use just one part of what we offer.

Q: What are the most common complaints about LeapScholar?
A: The honest ones we hear and actively work on cluster around three things. First, expectation mismatches around "free": counselling is free, but people sometimes assume every product (test-prep courses, premium plans) is free too and are surprised when they aren't. We try to be upfront about this, but it doesn't always land clearly in the first conversation. Second, peak-season responsiveness: during intake rushes (roughly May to August and October to December), counsellor and support response times can slow down, and that's a real, fair criticism when it happens. Third, profile-fit disagreements: a counsellor's honest read of where you're competitive doesn't always match what a student hoped to hear, and that can feel like being talked out of a dream school rather than being given a realistic assessment. We'd rather tell you this upfront than pretend we get everything right for every student.
Q: Is LeapScholar safe to use for my application?
A: Yes, in the sense that matters most: we're a registered company with a physical, verifiable headquarters, we don't ask for payment through untraceable channels, and every paid product has a clear, published price before you commit. As with any platform handling your personal and academic documents, please exercise caution: only share documents through our official portals, apps, or your assigned counsellor's verified company email, and be wary of anyone claiming to represent LeapScholar over WhatsApp or personal numbers without a verifiable company email address.
Q: Can I trust LeapScholar with my documents?
A: We collect what's genuinely needed for university applications, visa filing, and loan processing, marksheets, test scores, identity documents, and financial documents where relevant, and use them for that purpose. If you're ever unsure whether a specific document request is necessary, ask your counsellor to explain why it's needed; a legitimate request should have a clear, specific answer, not a vague "it's standard procedure."
Q: How can I verify LeapScholar myself before signing up?
A: Do this before your first paid transaction: confirm our registered company name (OUTLEAP TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED) and headquarters address independently, not just based on what a counsellor tells you over a call. Ask for your counsellor's full name and get their communication in writing on a company email address, not just a phone number. Check our current Google Business Profile rating and review count directly on Google, not a screenshot someone sends you. If a university partnership is central to your decision, you can also verify that specific partnership by asking the university's own international admissions office directly.
Q: Is LeapScholar genuine?
A: Yes. We're a funded, operating company with a five-year track record, physical offices you can visit, and a business model (university commissions plus separately priced test-prep and financing products) that we disclose rather than hide. That doesn't mean every interaction will be perfect; no company at our scale can promise that. But "genuine" and "flawless" aren't the same claim, and we're only making the first one.
How Our Pricing Actually Works
Q: Does LeapScholar earn a commission from universities?
A: Yes, and this is how we're able to offer counselling for free. When a student we've counselled enrolls at a partner university, that university pays us a commission. This is standard practice across the study-abroad counselling industry, not something specific or unusual to us, but we think it's worth stating plainly rather than leaving you to assume "free" means something else.
Q: Do I pay LeapScholar before or after my visa?
A: For core counselling, you pay neither before nor after your visa, as there is no fee tied to your visa outcome; counselling itself is free. If you purchase a separate paid product (test prep, for example), that's paid at the time you enroll in it, regardless of where you are in your visa process.
Q: Is LeapScholar free?
A: Core counselling is free: profile evaluation, university shortlisting, application guidance, and visa support. It's funded through university commissions, not charged to you. Specific products, IELTS/PTE/DET/DMAT/SAT prep courses, and certain premium tools are separately priced and clearly marked as paid before you're asked to pay anything.
Q: How much does LeapScholar charge?
A: For counselling: nothing. For paid products, current pricing runs roughly: IELTS and PTE self-paced courses from Rs.99 to Rs.399; DMAT prep at Rs.499; DET live coaching in the Rs.5,000 to Rs.6,000 range; the SAT's Live-only course at approximately Rs.1.2 lakh; and the University Shortlist "Golden Plan" at Rs.99. Confirm current prices directly before paying anything, since these are periodically revised.
Q: Does LeapScholar charge a counselling fee?
A: No. Counselling, from your first profile evaluation through to your offer letter and visa support, has no fee attached. If anyone claiming to represent LeapScholar asks you for a counselling fee, verify directly with our official channels before paying.
Q: Are there any hidden charges with LeapScholar?
A: Not from us, but there are real, separate costs in the study-abroad process that aren't charged by LeapScholar and shouldn't be confused with our fees: exam fees (IELTS, PTE, etc.) go directly to the test administrator, university application fees go directly to the university, and visa fees go directly to the relevant embassy or immigration authority. We'll tell you about these costs as part of your planning, but we don't collect them, and you should see exactly where every rupee goes.
