MITACS Globalink Research Internship 2024

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be a student of the eligible institutions
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • The passport must be valid until at least January 2025.
  • You are welcome to apply if you don’t currently have a valid passport.
  • Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of seven projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces

Note additional requirements for applicants from India

  • Citizenship requirements: No
  • Eligible applicants:
    • Full-time undergraduate students or combined undergraduate-Master’s program
    • Students enrolled in a Master’s program are not eligible
    • Graduating between June 2025 and July 2026
  • Eligible disciplines: All
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average:
    • 80%
    • Please review your university website/transcript on how to convert your grade to a percentage
  • Language proficiency exam requirement: No

Internship Benefits

The Globalink Interns will receive:

  • Fully Funded tuition fees
  • IELTS is not required to apply for this internship
  • Round-trip Airfare to Canada
  • Airport Transfer to Accommodation Location in Canada.
  • Stipend for Housing
  • Health Insurance
  • Stipend towards student enrollment fees up to a maximum of $300 (18,229 INR)
  • Stipend for Food and incidentals
  • Support from student mentors on campus in Canada
  • Registration for industry events and professional development courses
  • Globalink Research Internship certificate of completion
