A good score answer for the IELTS Cue Card task should include a strong introduction, some context to the topic, reasons to support your answer, and reasons on how you relate to the topic. The examiner will assess your answer based on your ability to speak in English.
Once part 2 begins, you will be handed a cue card and 4 questions related to it. In our case, the cue card will look something like this:
We have divided the answer for our topic, ‘Describe an Object you find particularly beautiful,’ into 4 parts.
Introduction
- What is the object?
- Why do you find the object beautiful?
- Set a context on how the object is.
Describe the object
- How was the object made?
- What does it look like?
Mention the reason you find the object beautiful
- How does the object make you feel?
Conclusion
- Summarise your description.
- You should end the topic in a positive tone.
