Wroclaw University of Science and Technology Acceptance Rate: The Honest Answer
WUST, also known as Wroclaw Tech or Politechnika Wrocลawska, does not publish an official acceptance rate for international applicants. That’s why the figures online contradict each other:
- uniRank puts the rate at 80 to 89% and calls WUST a least selective institution.
- EduRank gives 30% and says the figure is calculated from circumstantial enrolment data.
- GoToUniversity shows 0%.

None of these links back to WUST's own records, so treat all of them as unreliable.
What WUST does publish is demand data. In the first round of its July 2026 recruitment, there were more than 6,200 places across 64 full-time programs and close to 25,000 applications. WUST then qualified 1,557 more people than its original limits.
Two cautions before you read these numbers as odds:
- Applications are not applicants. Each candidate can choose up to six programs, so one person can count several times.
- The pool may differ for you. These figures come from WUST's general recruitment announcements. Whether foreign applicants are counted in the same pool is.
So the useful question isn't "what is the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology acceptance rate?" It's two narrower questions: how many seats does my program have, and how many people want them? WUST runs five English-taught bachelor programs. The table combines WUST's published 2026/27 seat limits with its official demand figures and fees.

Demand also moves a lot from year to year. Applied Computer Science in English had 6.37 applications per place in 2024/25. In 2019, more than 17 people competed for each of its 15 places.

Counselor insight: Thirty first-round seats is a small class. If applied computer science is your first choice, make electronic and computer engineering your second. It has 45 seats and costs slightly less.
How Competitive Is WUST Master’s Admission for Indian Graduates?
WUST lists 20 English-taught master's programs for 2026/27. Four of them run separate October and February intakes at different fees.

What's different at Master's level:
- No compulsory maths exam. WUST lists exam results only "if applicable".
- Lower application fee: PLN 85 (Rs. 2,119) per program.
- NAWA statement for your degree: Indian degrees need a NAWA recognition statement, because the exemption covers only degrees from EU, OECD or EFTA countries, IB/EB diplomas, and degrees covered by recognition agreements.

How WUST Ranks Indian Applicants: The Admission Index
WUST ranks Bachelor applicants with an admission index. For Polish school-leavers, the formula counts:
- your mathematics score in full,
- one additional subject in full, which is physics for every program,
- your foreign language and Polish scores at one tenth each.
In practice, maths and physics decide most of your score.
For certificates issued outside Poland, including CBSE, ICSE and state boards, WUST's Admissions Office works out your score individually after reviewing your documents. That page was last updated in 2021, so confirm the 2027 method with admission@pwr.edu.pl.
Some programs also set a minimum. Medical Informatics required an admission index of at least 200 for 2026/27.
Counselor insight: Indian students often lead with an 90%+ overall percentage. WUST's method weights maths and physics far more heavily than your overall score, so those two marks are what to present clearly.
What to Do If WUST Rejects You
- You miss out on your first-choice program. WUST published seats for rounds II and III.
- You're a Master's applicant. The February intake is a second chance. In the 2026-27 cycle, registration ran from 15 October to 13 November 2026.
- Your program isn't launched. You get your application fee back if a program doesn't open for lack of applicants. Refunds take about 4 to 6 weeks.
- Your English score is too low. A preparatory course of at least 9 months, including WUST's own English course, counts as proof of B2.
- Your NAWA statement is late. Email admission@pwr.edu.pl before the document deadline.
