Additionally, sending a hard copy scorecard to universities takes five to ten business days, whereas sending your IELTS results online to colleges only takes about five business days. The electronic transmission of the TRF from the IELTS test site to the universities of your choice is free of charge.

However, there is an additional fee (possibly $3.75) for each additional university if you want to send your IELTS results to more than five institutions. Additionally, this fee is required if you want to mail your results to the universities you’ve selected physically.
