  • Situated in Central Queensland, CQ University Australia is a public university established in 1967. It is the only university in Australia that has its campus in every state. The main campus is located in Norman Gardens at Rockhampton. The University was established as Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) in Capricornia. But, later in 1994, it was changed to CQ University. It also has campuses in Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay, Townsville, Gladstone, Melbourne, Sydney, Emerald, Noosa, Adelaide, etc.

What are the requirements for participation?

The following are the requirements for admission to Central Queensland University's various programmes:


  • Completion of AQF Certificate IV or high school equivalent to Australian class 12
  • A minimum of 55% in four academic courses is required by CBSE, ISC, West Bengal, and Maharashtra boards.
  • All other bulletin boards: A minimum of 60% in four academic disciplines is required.


  • Class 12 in Australia is equivalent to high school.
  • A minimum of 60% in four academic courses is required by CBSE, ISC, West Bengal, and Maharashtra boards.
  • All other bulletin boards: A minimum of 65 percent in four academic subjects is required.

Admissions to Postgraduate Coursework

International applicants must have a bachelor's degree comparable to an Australian bachelor's degree from a recognised institution. In the final two terms, a minimum score corresponding to an Australian pass grade average is required.

Language Proficiency in English

International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency, and they can do so by submitting either of the following exam scores:

  • IELTS Academic 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section
  • TOEFL iBT 79, with a minimum of 21 in each group
  • PTE Academic 62, with a minimum of 54 in each group
  • CAE/CPE 176, with a minimum of 169 in each band

To complete your online application, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to iStart and establish an account.
Step 2: Go to "Start an application" and search for the programme you want to use to build a new application. Then, after choosing the proper programme, start the application. Personal information such as gender, date of birth, phone number, address, visa information, and course selections should be included.
Step 3: Fill in the blanks with your personal information.
Step 4: Fill in your academic information and English proficiency exam results. After that, you'll need to upload the relevant certificates and transcripts.
Step 5: Add transcripts and test scores to your account.
Step 6: Fill in your work history, financial information, and university scholarship information. Accept the declaration after that and sign it with your name.
