It was 2019 when I had to take a very important decision in regards to my career. It was about changing my college and reapplying to a new college in India. I actually applied to the University of South Australia and I also got my offer letter and letter of acceptance. However, it was during COVID, so it was not reasonable to go to a different country, move there and start a life during that period because we all know what happened during COVID and how we all were suffering, so it was not convenient. So I had to take admission in India and I got admitted to university in Punjab. It was great, the decision made me choose a different course and it really helped me throughout my college life. I learned so much about management and technology because my course was Bachelor of Business Administration and Information Technology. Although I made this decision in my own terms, I would still think about it now and be happy that yes, it was a good decision and also very wise. I have now exposure to many things that I wasn't able to get through, but now I have understood the variety of work that is there in the corporate life and it has really helped me to take more wise decisions in the future and I'm very grateful about this decision that I made. Thank you.

We were really blessed nine years ago when I blessed with a girl child, her name is Kaira. After a few years of her birth, we decided to put her in school. Over that time we were a little confused between CBSE board and ICSE board. After making lots of enquiries, research on Google, asking suggestions from friends, we were still confused between the boards. My husband wanted to put my daughter in CBSE board. I was a little sceptical about CBSE board as it is more creative when you want to study only in India for competitive examinations. But my preference was to put her in ICSE board as it will give her more practical knowledge and more exposure towards her future journey as my biggest dream is to send her abroad. So I really wanted to put her in ICSE board. So because of that, eventually I decided to put her in ICSE board. After putting her for six years in the school, she is really doing fantastic in her academics. Teachers always appreciate her whenever I attend PTM and over that time I really feel blessed. Also, she is very much into music. She loves hip-hop music a lot. In the ICSE curriculum in her school, there are separate classes for hip-hop music. So she gets to learn.

Follow up questions

What factors influenced your decision between CBSE and ICSE?
I considered the teaching styles, curriculum differences, and future opportunities for my daughter. CBSE focuses more on competitive exams, while ICSE offers a broader, practical approach that aligns with my dream of sending her abroad.

How has your daughter's experience in ICSE impacted her interests?
Her experience in ICSE has been very positive. The curriculum encourages creativity and practical knowledge, which has helped her excel academically and pursue her passion for hip-hop music, as the school offers specialized classes.

What advice would you give to parents facing a similar decision?
I would advise them to thoroughly research both boards, consider their child's interests and future goals, and seek opinions from other parents. It's important to choose a board that aligns with the child's learning style and aspirations.

The most important decision that I took in my life was choosing up the internship opportunity that NRSC ISRO provided me with. I took up this decision when I was studying in my third year of my college, where I got an excellent opportunity to do an internship project with National Remote Sensing Center of Indian Space Research and Organization. So this was made around by the time of August month of 2023 and it is still going on now as a project scientist where I got promoted from intern project trainee to project scientist. So I made out this from my mind, I should work for a government organization at any cost whatever it takes. So first initially you should apply using an email id with all the college documents that you are provided with. Although I was having an less CGPA compared to all others from the college, I was having around 8.5 and where college average was up to 8.7. And I applied for with my friends and my cousins. Initially first my cousin got an internship offer where I applied before her and I was actually little feeling bad during that time. Later the third day I got a call from ISRO telling that I have been appointed as a project scientist of internship and I have been working under Mr. Syed Shadab for past one year. And it has been a very perfect time for me to work under him where I got to know a lot about technologies and also about personal development. When I got about the job, I felt very overwhelmed and very happy because it was the first time in job opportunity battling between more than 1000 people and getting an opportunity where NRSC provides only internship for 40 persons in a year of a term for a college student. Out of those 40, I was the one who got selected under Mr. Syed Shadab for the particular academic year of 2023 to 2024, again being appointed under him for the year 2024 to 2025.

The important decision I ever made in my life is studying abroad for master's which is in a landscape architecture, actually I was so tenacious about this because most of my friends and family and my close ones told me that to not to do a master's in this field, instance do some other field so that we can shine bright and you can earn more in that future, but I always wanted to do this landscape architecture which is one of my interest, so I made a decision and I applied to a few universities which are all top universities and I am waiting for an offer letter, as a result I got universities from a secondary land but I am especially waiting for one university which is in Edinburgh, Edinburgh is one of my favourite and also the subject I am opting for is very large and needs more creativity, so I prefer this college to enter for this field which will give me more scope in the future, also a bright salary or a decent salary which I can earn in the future and support my family and also to be independently, I can live individually and I don't need to depend on anyone.

In every person's life, decision creates an important role to create their future. In the last month, I took a decision that is related to my daughter. I delivered a daughter two months ago and she is not well from the birth. So we had to take a decision where we want to go for their treatment. All of my family members recommend to go to the private hospital which is situated in Delhi. It was very costly to go there. We spent some time in private hospitals too. But now we had to take the decision where we want to go for the further treatment. I took a decision with the help of my husband that we go to the civil hospital that is situated in Chandigarh. That is known as a PGI. That is a research center. We spent one month there. Our daughter admitted there for a month. I felt relaxed when she got the proper treatment. She diagnosed what happened to her. We feel comfortable to talk with the doctors there because they are very much polite to us. They always give us the guidelines about their treatment and about their further planning. We really feel satisfied for this decision. We got the perfect treatment for our daughter. She is recovering so fast. We come back from the hospital with a smile on our faces. It really feels good.

A very important decision that I made was to not use my mobile phone during my examinations. This decision I took when I was in my sophomore year and my final higher secondary exams were approaching. The decision I took was because I really wanted to stay away from all the distractions and wanted to focus on my studies more better. The ringtone that my phone had belonged to the company which it belonged which was Motorola but mainly focusing on the fact that after taking this important decision I was successful in scoring a really good marks in my examination and I passed with flying colors. It really made me feel that one can achieve a certain goal after restricting themselves or making some sacrifices that would make a person feel more better about themselves that they have achieved a certain goal after sacrificing something. My decision to restricting myself from the use of android devices has proved to be a great achievement for me and it also helps me practice it nowadays as well so that I can get some of my important things done rather than focusing on distractions to which the youth of today is more paved towards.

So, an important decision that I made is going to the gym and walking out five times a week. This decision is so far the most significant decision that I have made in my life towards my health and fitness. It not only helped me begin with my physical health journey, but also it helped me with my discipline habits and it built my mental strength as well. So, I started going to the gym since last one year and there were times when I used to skip it and sometimes I was a little busy for going to the gym. But now that I have learned how to manage time and organize my schedule, I am able to take my gym classes regularly. Going to the gym has really been a turning point in my life. It not only motivated me to eat healthy, but also look good. Looking good, I think, is quite underrated. People say that it doesn't matter whether how you look or not, but I think working on your appearance can be the biggest game changer and the biggest form of self-respect that you can give yourself. People look up to you when you look good and people prefer you when you are more presentable.
