Eligibility Criteria
- Possess an unconditional offer of admission for full-time enrollment in a PhD programme or an unconditional offer of admission for full-time enrollment in a Master by Research programme at the University of Sydney with the intention of transferring to a PhD programme after successfully completing the first annual progress evaluation.
- Possess a first- or second-class upper-level honours degree, or an equivalent, in a relevant field.
- After accepting this scholarship, you must withdraw all RTP financing applications, including any for an RTP Allowance, RTP Fees Offset (for international applicants only), RTP Stipend, or RTP Scholarships.
- If you are an overseas student, you should have filed for a student visa before starting your studies.

- The Scholarship will offer a monthly stipend of $40,000 (2219840 INR) per annum, subject to satisfactory academic performance, as per the below duration:
- For an outstanding Master’s by Research recipient, up to one year. No potential extension (full-time equivalent)
- Up to three years for a successful PhD candidate, with a potential extension of six months (full-time equivalent)
