Is There an Official Curtin University Dubai Acceptance Rate?
Curtin University Dubai does not publish a Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate on its admissions, fees, reputation, or campus pages, so every percentage you see online is a third party’s estimate. The table lists the claims next to what the university says.
| Source type | Claimed Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate | What the claim rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Ranking site A | 80% | No source is given, and the same page shows a QS rank that belongs to the parent university |
| Education site B | About 65% | No source given |
| Agent blog C | 50% | A figure for Curtin University in Australia, not the Dubai campus |

The usable claims run from 50% to 80% for one campus, and one site shows 0%, which is a data error. None of them cite a source. The Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate also depends on the course, and the university says the grade average required may vary by course.
Counselor insight: Treat a quoted percentage as a marketing figure unless it names its source. The useful question for admissions is what marks and documents your specific course needs.
Is It Hard to Get Into Curtin University Dubai? What Decides Your Offer
Curtin Dubai's application process page describes steps, not a competitive cutoff, so the Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate is really a question about eligibility. You submit the form, transcripts, certified English test copies, two photographs, and your passport and visa pages. If your application meets the minimum entry requirements, you receive an offer letter and acceptance pack from the Office of Admissions.
That reads as an eligibility-led process, which is my interpretation of the official wording rather than a published policy. What decides your offer:
- Minimum marks. The university sets country-by-country academic requirements, which the next section covers for India.
- English evidence. Indian CBSE and ISC applicants can meet it with 60% in English, and others need a separate English test.
- Course-specific rules. The university says grade averages may vary by course, and some courses have prerequisites.
- Complete documents. Missing transcripts or test copies can delay the decision.
Counselor insight: Ask admissions for the exact minimum marks for your course in writing. The country table provides a general guideline, but course requirements may be higher.
Curtin University Dubai Admission Requirements for Indian Students
Because no Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate exists, the curtin university dubai admission requirements matter most. For India, they come from the university's own academic requirements document. This table adds what Indian applicants should check.
| Item | What Curtin Dubai asks | India-specific note |
|---|---|---|
| CBSE or ISC (Class 12) | A 60% grade average in the best four subjects, plus 60% in English or separate English evidence | The English mark can serve as your English proof |
| Other recognized state boards (Higher Secondary Certificate) | A 65% grade average, with separate evidence of English | You need an English test such as IELTS or TOEFL |
| Course variation | The grade average requirement may vary by course | Confirm your course with admissions |
| Transcripts | All completed qualifications and results | Carry marksheets for Class 10 and 12 |
| English test | Certified copies of IELTS or TOEFL scores, if applicable | Needed mainly for state-board applicants and some courses |
| Photographs and passport | Two passport-size photographs, and passport copy with visa page | Indian applicants outside the UAE should ask what to submit for the visa page |
If you do not meet the entry marks, the Foundation Program is a full-time pathway into the undergraduate degree, with guaranteed progression once you meet its academic requirements. Curtin Dubai offers tuition grants of up to AED 10,000 (Rs. 2.60 lakh at Rs. 26 per AED) to Foundation students.
Curtin University Dubai Fees: Program-Wise Costs in INR
The Curtin University Dubai fees are listed as total program fees, inclusive of VAT, on the tuition fees page. Converted at Rs.26 per AED:
| Program | Duration | Total fee (AED) | Total fee (INR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| BBA (several specializations), BCom (several majors), BDes Graphic Design, BSc Cyber Security, BSc Information Technology, BSc Psychological Science, Bachelor of Interior Design | 3 years | 182,700 | Rs.47.50 lakh |
| Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) | 3 years | 195,300 | Rs.50.78 lakh |
| Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Mechanical Engineering | 4 years | 260,400 | Rs.67.70 lakh |
| Master of Artificial Intelligence, Master of Cyber Security | 12 months | 84,000 | Rs.21.84 lakh |
| Master of Engineering Management | 16 months | 91,350 | Rs.23.75 lakh |
| MBA in International Business | 16 months | 115,500 | Rs.30.03 lakh |
| Graduate Certificate in Business Fundamentals | 5 months | 38,500 | Rs.10.01 lakh |
| Pathway programs (most streams, 8 months) | 2 trimesters | 52,500 | Rs.13.65 lakh |
A registration fee of AED 3,500 (Rs.91,000) applies. PhD tuition is up to AED 94,500 a year (Rs.24.57 lakh). A three-year undergraduate program at AED 182,700 works out to about AED 60,900 a year (Rs.15.83 lakh), which is my division of the total, not a published annual fee. Tuition does not cover textbooks, laboratory items, art supplies, or field trips, according to the university.
On funding, Curtin Dubai's scholarships page lists merit scholarships (including an Academic Excellence Scholarship for high school results, a Sports Excellence Scholarship, and a Women in STEM Scholarship), a need-based Financial Aid Bursary, an Early Bird Bursary, Family and Alumni grants, and the Dubai Top Achievers Scholarship Program, which commits two fully funded places a year open to all nationalities. It does not publish percentages, so the amount you receive depends on assessment by the campus funding committee. Two funding categories cannot be combined, awards are not transferable to other Curtin campuses, and you must keep the prescribed grades to retain them. Flexible payment plans exist at the university's discretion and need post-dated cheques. The scholarships page describes three monthly installments (50%, 25%, 25%), while the academic calendar lists four installment dates per trimester, so ask admissions which one applies.

Curtin University Dubai Ranking: What Applies to the Dubai Campus
The curtin university dubai ranking you see on most sites is a ranking of Curtin University in Perth, not the Dubai campus. Curtin's own global engagement page says it is 189th in the QS World University Rankings 2027. Its 2025 edition rank was 174th, and the Dubai campus's reputation page still shows that same 174th figure, which was last updated in January 2025. Our Q&A on Curtin's QS 2027 ranking explains the change.
What is specific to Dubai:
- KHDA rating. KHDA's Curtin University entry shows a 5-star overall rating for the 2022 cycle. Its detailed indicators show 5 stars for teaching, research, internationalization, facilities, program strength, inclusiveness, and environmental impact, and 4 stars for employability. I found no later KHDA cycle for Curtin, so 2022 is the latest result.
- CAA license. Curtin says the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research granted its Dubai campus institutional accreditation on 9 January 2025. You can check the institution on the CAA's list of licensed institutions, and PIE News reported Curtin as one of the institutions newly licensed by the ministry in March 2025.
- Parent ratings. Curtin holds a QS Five Stars Plus rating and is in the top 1% of universities in ARWU, according to its page.
None of these ratings measures the Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate or selectivity. Sites that show "QS #150" for Dubai are not using any current QS figure. KHDA's directory lists Curtin with a 5-star overall rating for the 2022 cycle, which is the latest result I could find. It lists the campus as established in 2017, while the university says it began operating in 2018.
Counselor insight: Ask whether your specific program appears in the CAA's program accreditation, not only the institutional license, since the Dubai campus's federal licensing is recent.
Curtin University Dubai Reviews: How to Read Them
Curtin University Dubai reviews on third-party sites are unverified and mixed in quality, and the university does not publish a campus-specific student satisfaction score. Use reviews as questions to ask, not as proof, and remember that none of them can tell you the Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate.
- Check the date, because the campus has changed since it began operating in 2018.
- Match the course, since experience differs between business, IT, engineering, and design.
- Separate remarks about Perth from comments about Dubai.
- Ask admissions for graduate outcomes for your course, and talk to a current student at an open day.
The KHDA 5-star rating includes overall student satisfaction as a prerequisite, which is more reliable than an anonymous review.

Which Curtin University Dubai Admission Route Fits Your Situation
Whatever your route, marks and documents decide your offer, not a Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate. If you are a CBSE or ISC student with 60% or more in your best four subjects and in English, you meet the stated general minimum, but confirm your course's own requirement.
If you are on a state board, you need a 65% average plus separate English evidence, so book an English test early.
If you fall below the marks, look at the Foundation Program, and ask about the tuition grant.
If you want a master's, check the postgraduate fees above and compare with the BITS Pilani Dubai scholarship route.
If your budget is tight, you should ask about the financial aid bursary and read our guide to MBA salary in Dubai before committing.
Curtin University Dubai Planning Calendar for the 2027-28 Intake
Curtin Dubai's academic calendar for 2026, last updated in February 2026, is the latest published. It shows three intakes a year for most programs, and the 2027 calendar had not been published when I checked on 14 October 2026. Use the 2026 pattern to plan, then confirm the 2027 dates with admissions.
| Program group | 2026 start dates | 2026 last application, offer and admission dates |
|---|---|---|
| Undergraduate Business and Science | 5 January, 4 May, 31 August | 10 January, 9 May, 5 September |
| Undergraduate Engineering, Psychology, and Design | 16 February, 31 August | 21 February, 5 September |
| Postgraduate | 16 February, 31 August (20 July for Engineering Management only) | 21 February, 5 September (25 July) |
| Foundation Program | 12 January, 11 May, 7 September | 17 January, 16 May, 12 September |
| Timing | What to do |
|---|---|
| Now to December 2026 | Shortlist courses, check your board's marks against the country table, and ask admissions for the 2027 calendar |
| January to March 2027 | Gather marksheets, and book IELTS or TOEFL if you are on a state board |
| By spring 2027 | Apply for an August or September 2027 start, and submit transcripts and certified English copies |
| Well before the last application date | Aim to be fully admitted early, since the 2026 cut-off fell only days after each start date and fees were due soon after |
| After your results | Receive the offer letter and acceptance pack, and pay the AED 3,500 registration fee |
| Before the start | Arrange your visa and housing, and ask about scholarship decisions |
What to Do If Your Curtin University Dubai Application Hits a Problem
Because there is no Curtin University Dubai acceptance rate to improve, work on your marks and documents. If your board marks are not enough, ask about the Foundation Program, which leads into the degree if you meet its requirements.
If your English evidence is missing, take IELTS or TOEFL and submit certified copies. Curtin Dubai also has an IELTS page, so ask whether it offers testing.
If your results are delayed, ask admissions what interim documents they accept.
If your budget changes, ask about the financial aid bursary, and remember that scholarships are not transferable to other Curtin campuses.
