Wait for the official fee notice, then apply for the exemption before lectures start at the latest. Attach proof of your category, such as a scholarship award letter, so the Student Administration can decide without a second round of emails.

University of Tuebingen Fees Beyond Tuition: Semester Fee, Visa Funds and Rent

Budget Rs.21,054 (€194.80) per semester on top of tuition, plus visa-stage cash that is far larger than either fee. The winter 2026/27 re-registration notice splits the semester fee into €107.80 for student services, €80 for administration and €7 for the student body.

The university's fees FAQ cites €197.80 (Rs.21,378) for summer 2026, which differs from the €194.80 above. Confirm the current figure with the university.

The same FAQ lists an optional public transport semester ticket at €161.10 (Rs.17,412) per semester for summer 2026, valid on buses and trains in the Tübingen, Reutlingen, Zollernalbkreis and Sigmaringen districts.
