When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, a few days ago, I had an English class in my college, which is for etiquettes and managed relatitude. In this subject, my teacher taught me English language. In English, they just don't teach us the books. So, they prepare activity, which is done by students. And that activity was very interesting. Students get entertained by that and also improve their knowledge.

So, while I was studying 10th standard, where it was really hectic situation and there was lots of stress and anxiety to just move towards writing the examinations, like public examinations. But, when we were just having classes on English, our teacher just started teaching a story which was written by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. So, while studying 10th, we just need a relaxation and also get some free time to write. So, at that time, the stories like William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet was really a great one and it was really interesting if we just move on to the next, what's gonna happen and so on. So, our teacher just started to describe certain things in a more unique manner and also make us imagine what is happening at that time and how things are going on and so on like that. So, in that case, the one hour of that class was really interesting and also made us think about and imagine what is happening in that story and who is Romeo, who is Juliet and what is about their love story and so on. So, it was really a great experience like hearing this kind of stories and studying at 10th standard which will really reduce our stress and focus on our studies.

I would love to recall the English class that was taught back in my school days in the 10th grade. So during this class, the famous Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice was taught Merchant of Venice was the first time that we were through Merchant of Venice. We were exposed to the concept of old English and there are a lot of complex things like English tools like idioms, phrases, metaphors, similes, etc. So all these things gave us a new perspective towards the language and our English teacher Shilpa ma'am made sure that we learned the lessons through innovative way like role play, then reading out loud and breaking the complex things into simpler things. So these made sure that we were able to understand the concepts and grasp them effectively. The other thing that Merchant of Venice had to offer was the unique description of emotion. There were a lot of references of emotion to various things. So all these factors helped us get a new perspective on the language and also develop a lot of visualization skills and creativity into us.

One of the English classes that I've enjoyed was during my 11th grade. This was when I was studying in Bahrain at New Millennium School, which followed the CBSD curriculum. So we were going through one of the stories that was a more dialogue-based literature. And our professor wanted to make it better by doing it in a sort of role-play. So she selected a few students because a lot of people weren't volunteering. So a few students role-played a few characters from the story. And it was really fun. It was really fun seeing them act because a few of them didn't know how to act properly. And they were just there to have fun. And it was one of the most memorable English classes that I've had. We weren't able to complete the role-play because we were just goofing around. But instead we thought we just had more fun towards it. So the selection process was based on people. She selected mostly the backbenchers.

An English class lesson that I enjoy would have been particularly in the 10th standard of my education, a poem by Robert Frost. The poem was titled as The Road Not Taken. In my school, when this was taught in a normal English lecture, I presumed it would be any plain lecture, but as it turned out, it was quite a fascinating one. Firstly, the teacher introduced us a little bit about the author's background as to how and what the author was thinking while writing the poem. The teacher moreover continued over highlighting the poem's phrases and the rhyming scheme which provided us insights onto the poem's strategical placement and creativity which was highlighted of the author's. The thing that I most liked about that poem was it was simple yet it expressed what a child feels while taking major decisions of their life, be it be career choices, be it be fashion statements or any other major choice which will be inflicting their life towards a greater good. Now, this poem talked about majorly how there were two roads diverging in a road and a author could not go on both because certainly one road looked like the people often travelled it yet the other one looked deserted and kind of cold. The author decided that it would take the deserted road as a path to be paved which would be towards a brighter future and a newer tomorrow. As it turns out, author highlights on the statement that we do not need to follow everybody's footsteps. We can make our own decisions and move further according to our own wishes and make our own choices which may or may not be in the favour of others. Furthermore, our teacher provided such an excruciating comparison.

Actually, this is the one class I enjoyed during Professor Tyagarajan's class. Actually, he is a very strict professor, so we don't get something to enjoy. But on that particular class, he was teaching poetry. And there were definitions of poetry by different people. And it was during my second semester in second BA classroom. Sorry, first BA classroom. So, he was saying his personal experience about some events and that made us laugh our hearts out. And he was entertaining too. That's because there were very few students in his class. And he enjoyed taking classes for one who listened. And that was a very great experience. And he was speaking about how he loves poetry and what made him love poetry. And how he analyzes poetry. And that was very interesting to hear, you know. I love poetry too. So, I was keen in listening to his classes. So, that was one of the favorite classes of him. In conclusion, he is not a very bad professor. It's just the atmosphere that makes him cold. So, we experienced a great class with him.

So, well, back in 2022, when I got an opportunity to join a multinational company, teleperformance with a good salary, and though we did have an interview for selection purpose, however, I got selected and shortlisted for the job. And as soon as I joined the work culture office, the first week was related with the training section, especially English, because it was our incoming calls or inbound process where we would receive calls from the US to resolve their concerns. This company was related with the loans and credit score. So, there was this class with my teacher's name was Shikha and she was so well experienced that she started with the introduction with each and every candidate present there. However, the best part, which I enjoyed a lot, taking her classes was that when she started helping us with tongue twisters. As soon as we started practicing tongue twisters, we were laughing like hell. We enjoyed it in a very extreme level, because you know that tongue twisters are completely enjoying and it takes lots of effort to speak a sentence or tongue

I want to tell you about a lesson that is related to English language that I really enjoyed while I was studying in higher school. Actually this topic is related with the proverbs, how to learn the proverbs in the interesting way where the teacher sometimes use the ways just memorizing the proverbs but they have not used any effective methods. I remember as English is one of my favorite subject and the teacher was also one of my favorite. Actually our teacher Rohit sir used an effective and fantastic method that made us enjoying and learn the things in creative manners. I remembered on every Saturday there was a class arranged for us just to learn the things in the interesting way. Our teacher made five student groups and assigned each and every group five proverbs and give us the time limit to phrase and make the sentences by our own. So when we started preparing I remember we enjoyed the whole process. After that our teacher usually called up any one student one by one and asked them to read the whole sentences which they made and I found that they used very fantastic methods and this lesson not only learn the new techniques but also build my confidence to speak in English.

So the English class that I have enjoyed a lot was about Feminism. I still remember the day when my English faculty, when I was in my second year of college, I mean bachelors, she took each and every one of us to the auditorium and she was taking a class. We didn't expect it coming but she suddenly started talking about Feminism. It is not really a part of our syllabus but she was trying to demonstrate boys. She was focusing on boys and she was like asking each and every one to answer few questions. Boys were like having mixed responses on what a woman should wear and not wear, how important is it for a woman to have sindoor and how important it is for a woman to obey men's or the husband's words and how important it is for a woman to cook. And when ma'am started asking about how important is it for a man to contribute to the family in the same way how they expect a woman to, maximum of them didn't have any responses. And then she explained us slowly what a Feminism actually means and she also explained us a man could also be a Feminist. And slowly I could see the faces of my classmates, male classmates changing. I don't know it's a mixed experience but I really felt happy that someone is actually trying to convey to men about Feminism, educating about educating that whatever a man needs a woman too needs. Not really everyone understands that. So I love that class so much and it's so memorable.

Okay, last year when I was in my 10th grade, there was a chapter named Bholi and our teacher was telling how Bholi reacted and he was like doing the actual acting. He was, you know, putting the doll back and everything, we enjoyed it the most and I think that we need such a teacher. I know I am out of the topic but that was the best chapter or lesson that I enjoyed the most. And if we say, but he was a teacher who used to teach us very well. He gave real life example. Whenever he comes to our class, he don't only just read and make us understand but he also do acting so it become real like thing to us and nothing more but this time we need this kind of teachers who let us, who make us enjoy in classes. I am not saying that you don't, teachers need to do the doll but that's better to understand and as we enjoy, our mind is also fresh, we get interested in the topic. That's it.
