When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I want to tell you about a lesson that is related to English language that I really enjoyed while I was studying in higher school. Actually this topic is related with the proverbs, how to learn the proverbs in the interesting way where the teacher sometimes use the ways just memorizing the proverbs but they have not used any effective methods. I remember as English is one of my favorite subject and the teacher was also one of my favorite. Actually our teacher Rohit sir used an effective and fantastic method that made us enjoying and learn the things in creative manners. I remembered on every Saturday there was a class arranged for us just to learn the things in the interesting way. Our teacher made five student groups and assigned each and every group five proverbs and give us the time limit to phrase and make the sentences by our own. So when we started preparing I remember we enjoyed the whole process. After that our teacher usually called up any one student one by one and asked them to read the whole sentences which they made and I found that they used very fantastic methods and this lesson not only learn the new techniques but also build my confidence to speak in English.

So the English class that I have enjoyed a lot was about Feminism. I still remember the day when my English faculty, when I was in my second year of college, I mean bachelors, she took each and every one of us to the auditorium and she was taking a class. We didn't expect it coming but she suddenly started talking about Feminism. It is not really a part of our syllabus but she was trying to demonstrate boys. She was focusing on boys and she was like asking each and every one to answer few questions. Boys were like having mixed responses on what a woman should wear and not wear, how important is it for a woman to have sindoor and how important it is for a woman to obey men's or the husband's words and how important it is for a woman to cook. And when ma'am started asking about how important is it for a man to contribute to the family in the same way how they expect a woman to, maximum of them didn't have any responses. And then she explained us slowly what a Feminism actually means and she also explained us a man could also be a Feminist. And slowly I could see the faces of my classmates, male classmates changing. I don't know it's a mixed experience but I really felt happy that someone is actually trying to convey to men about Feminism, educating about educating that whatever a man needs a woman too needs. Not really everyone understands that. So I love that class so much and it's so memorable.

Okay, last year when I was in my 10th grade, there was a chapter named Bholi and our teacher was telling how Bholi reacted and he was like doing the actual acting. He was, you know, putting the doll back and everything, we enjoyed it the most and I think that we need such a teacher. I know I am out of the topic but that was the best chapter or lesson that I enjoyed the most. And if we say, but he was a teacher who used to teach us very well. He gave real life example. Whenever he comes to our class, he don't only just read and make us understand but he also do acting so it become real like thing to us and nothing more but this time we need this kind of teachers who let us, who make us enjoy in classes. I am not saying that you don't, teachers need to do the doll but that's better to understand and as we enjoy, our mind is also fresh, we get interested in the topic. That's it.

So this was one of those classes which I really, really looked forward to because they used to teach Pride and Prejudice in this class. This was a part of our curriculum in the 7th standard during my school life and the reason why I really loved this class because my teacher that is Mrs. Roma Chakraborty, she was our English teacher. She used to actually enact the scenarios that used to take place in the novel and used to show us that how the whole play moves forward. For example, there was this one instance when Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet who were the main characters of the novel will have a ball dance. So ma'am actually took the effort to do that ball dance in front of us and show us each and every move that both of these people were taking in order to explain us that why exactly this scene was relevant. This scene was relevant because at that time Elizabeth Bennet was not very fond of Mr. Darcy because he had an impression that Mr. Darcy was a very rude and arrogant man.

Well, an English class lesson that I enjoyed the most was mostly during my high school days. Those days, English was a very important part of a subject curriculum as it was a convent school and we were asked to focus specially on English to have that proficiency level. Being a science student, I was always surrounded by difficult calculations, subjects, rigorous learning. So, English was a relief subject for me. I always used to enjoy learning English and specially attending English classes in school because those classes were very chill, relaxing, interactive and fun learning. This specially became exciting for me. It was because of my English teacher as she was very polite, nice, friendly and made the whole learning session so enthusiastic that I used to love every inch of it. I still remember that we used to have a lot of surprise tests and exams and during that we had our English lessons and that it was one fine day that on a Thursday in mid of the September that she organized a debate session in the class on random topics based on the chits and articles which were created and it was such a fun loving English session where we all just overcome our fear of speaking in front of audience and then she also highlighted which points we should focus on and what are our strengths and weaknesses. These discussions not only built a strong impact but it was an interactive and entertaining session for me. So hence this class was the most enjoyed class in that whole session of mine.

While I was in my 8th grade, we had this one English teacher named Sita ma'am. Almost each and every lesson that she taught is so interesting to listen as she delivers the dialogues and content in that lesson as if she is the main character in it. That makes everyone of my friends and me to develop a lot of interest to listen to her. Even when she speaks, she makes the words so fascinating that we even forgot that we are listening to an English lecture because previously we had an English teacher whose lessons were not that captivating so we felt very boring during his classes but then as our faculty changed, the way she explains and the way she changes her expression for each and every emotion really made us intrigued.

I remember during college we had a subject called technical report writing and on the first day the professor divided us into six groups of five people because he wanted to make teams so that we would make so that we would write a report together. Now the fun part about the lecture was that the teams he divided were quite equal so on the last day when we had to present our report there was a Q&A section and during those Q&A sections each of the teams were rigorously asked questions about their report and it turned into a debate which was quite amusing for me as there were strong opinions from both sides and it was very fun to watch. Furthermore the professor himself Dr. Srinivasan was an amazing teacher he taught us a lot of things on how to write a report with a particular structure and how to decrease your plagiarism and to be honest the group that I was part of was absolutely amazing.

So, it was a literature class actually, so it was about a drama of Shakespeare which is famously known as Julius Caesar. It was happened, I mean it happened when I was at grade 10 in my school. So actually the drama was quite interesting because it was our first drama we have been taught from Shakespeare's literature and so the teacher has made it more interesting by making us to act for the characters which was in that drama. So we 3-4 people were given one of the character in that drama and we were asked to recreate a drama in our class. So it was very interactive and interesting and the story was very beautiful that everybody got interested because most of the friends in my class were completely hesitated about English literature and English class and all but on that day everybody got interested into English literature and we were enjoying like anything. So that was the English class which I always remember and after that we went to the cinema.
