When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I think learning is a process by which we achieve our goals or dreams and it helps us to motivate ourselves and to gain knowledge for the particular goals. So when I was a kid, I attended a class in which the tutor is teaching how to speak fluently into English. Although I know few things about English, not just few, but I know few things about English. I can read, I can translate it, but the main problem is I cannot speak it, speak it fluently because I belong from the Gujarati family and my study background is also Gujarati. So therefore I had terrible English, terrible speaking, terrible fluency, I cannot keep up with the consistency. So I attended a one-week seminar for English teaching in which the teacher thought different techniques to use grammar and pronunciation, to use pronunciation, punctuation, although I was enjoying the class, but when teacher announced that they had one activity for the student to enhance their English speaking, so that thing I enjoyed a lot because in that process,

Well, I remember the English class I took when I was in 7th standard. The teacher asked all of us to write a topic about anything. I meant an article about anything. If you found anything amusing or anything out of your imagination. So I wrote how I saw a UFO through the woods. And the teacher appreciated it very much. She said she would give it full marks back then. I loved the class because the teacher was so supportive. And took time to hear about all our articles. And I still remember it. And it was many years ago.

So, it happened in 12th June 2024, so it starts with a backstory that in our class many of us are not fluent in English, although we study in an English medium school. So our teacher, who is a Christian, knew that we are all Gen Zs and we are not focusing on like, you know, to learn English and rather than that we are just speaking in Bengali or Hindi, which is our mother tongue. So she suggests that, okay, you all love watching K-dramas, you all love watching YouTube videos and stuff like that, watch it, but in English. So she gave us a homework to watch something or the other, which we like, it could be an entertainment purpose or it could be an educational purpose, but in English or at least with English subtitles. So we all watch something or the other, for example, if you talk about me, I watched food vlogging because I love people who do food vlogging in another country, explore food items. So I watched it and then the next day when I went to my class, she told me to explain the video that I watched to the entire class. In this way, I got interest also to learn English. I learned some new words and also my communication skill improves because I'm speaking and standing in front of the whole class and my confidence, you know, it boosts up. So she helped me and all of us in many ways. And we get the interest to learn a new language, which is English and it is a global language So we all should learn English in a way that, you know, make us, it make it fun. Okay. So we all should learn English.

An English class lesson that I can never forget in my life is the story Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I remember my teacher taking this lesson when I was in my 8th grade in my school in Valparai. I remember this particular class in specific because of the way my teacher took the class. It was very descriptive. I still remember how my teacher allotted different characters to different students and made us read the lesson. Furthermore, she added intonation to each and every dialogue and how the character spoke which was very interesting. In addition to that, I loved the storyline which was a fantasy fiction. As a child, I think all children would want to read fantasy and I remember how my imagination went up to the highest level and how I wanted to be how it feels to be Alice. So I still remember how the storyline had Hatter as Alice's friend who helped her and made her happy when she was sad. It was something that caught my attention and I always wanted a Hatter in my life. Later on, when I grew up, I saw the movie Alice in Wonderland and it brought me back all the way to my class 8 and how I cherished that particular moment. So I think I will forever remember that day when I was introduced to Alice in her Wonderland.

An English class lesson I enjoyed very much was my first English lesson with Leap Scholar. They taught me pronunciation in my first class which is one of the most important skill when you are learning English. It was on the 7th of July 2025 and most of the time it was quite engaging. The teacher who was teaching in that class was focusing on each and every student and trying to engage every student in the conversation. Additionally, they also put a quiz session in the end of the English lesson in which all the students who are attending have to pronunciate some of the words which was taught in the class that day and there were some unknown words which weren't taught on that day but that part is quite competitive one as most of the people were struggling in that area. Additionally, this is going to benefit in my career in multiple ways as I need to write emails, blogs and articles for some of the edtech companies and they require a high level of pronunciation.

In my English class, we were taught about the English subject by my English teacher. That class was not just a random lecture, but in that, ma'am gave us a random topic or we can say a random idea by us on to recreate an idea and phrase a essay or a paragraph of one page in which we need to talk about that particular topic. And I told in that classroom that was not just about that topic, but that was about to recreate our ideas and get some new knowledge. Moreover, I can say that in that class, I got pointed out due to which I got noticed by my teacher because I rephrased that topic very well and she praised me out of among other students.

So I just remembered a lesson which we had with our English speaking session ma'am Sia, the name of the trainer was Sia ma'am, so she gave our colleagues and me a topic to debate on the boon and bad of the social media and I remember I did it very well I tried emphasizing the social media impact on economic economics in employments and other aspects I also emphasized on the boon on the bad of the social media impact on children's and youth today a large amount of youth are lost in social media they are just mindlessly swiping the reels but there are also some good part of that reels also some more people are being or being made influencers by people itself the social media people itself people support each other people do make reels and upload it to get popularity fame they are spreading businesses they are spreading marketing they are acting as marketers for the product they are collaborating with big brands and making their own identity with the help of social media that was the class which I enjoyed the most

I did an online class from 2022 to 2023. Mr. Shiny Hawk used to teach us, it was totally online session. From that time, I used to learn how to speak clearly, write clearly and read clearly. During that time, I enjoyed mostly when she always asked us, just notice a thing in your home and try to speak anything, whatever the language may be come into your mind, it may be wrong or right. Don't think about that. Just think about your fluency. Maybe you mistake on grammar pronunciation, but fluency and confidence is a necessary thing to speak fluently. And at the end of the class, she always start a music and obviously it is a Western music, English music and she always taught us to sang this music with the lyrics and I enjoyed the most. I never got this type of session before this because she always taught us that English is a language. Don't feel English.

Well, there were several English classes which I took at my college during my first year, which is also known as foundation year for my college studies. One of the best classes of English was taken by one of my favorite teachers, Mr. John, last year during summer break. Well, in that class, I learned about Shakespeare and how he became a writer. One of the reasons I really loved the class was that it was a very interactive session and we had to perform a skit and prepare a skit and then perform it accordingly in front of the teachers. In addition to that, he also told us that what all things he faced during his upbringing and what were the challenges he faced during learning the English and becoming a world famous, a world renowned poet. And also, he was very much into the likes of academic writing and how he became a world world. Therefore, because the class was very interactive, I liked it very much.
